I like that the store opens @ 6am so if I am heading to work, I can always stop in if I need to purchase an item before work instead in the afternoon where there's a line of customer's or there's an annoying guy standing infront of the store playing music trying to sing/dance looking for money blocking the entrance. The shelves are always stocked, and the sales are good. I didn't give 5 stars because when I have to pick up a prescription in the afternoon or the weekend the pharmacy line is long and the store needs to do something about the guy stand infront of the store singing and dancing. read more

I have bee having issues with this Pharmacy for several years and they never seems to get better. Yesterday I went to the pharmacy to check on the status of my medication ,after standing in a long line the representative told me I should go to the consulting window and speak to the pharmacist regarding my issue. I waited at the consultation window for 20 minutes and no one assisted me. I called out to one other representative who was passing by and told her my problem, she told me I should get back in the line and wait for help,she said she has over a hundred prescription to fill now and she can't help me. I left the pharmacy and went home. I later called the pharmacy got a representative who told me that my Dr need to send a new prescription and she would reach out to him.Today I got a phone call from Walgreens, followed by an email stating that my Dr has denied my request. I didn't believe the Pharmacy based on the conversation i had with him on my last visit, so i called the Dr office who informed me that that Walgreens representative may have not been truthful. I am putting this out there since the medication I requested is one that if I had stopped taking it would result in my heart stopping and could result in death. I am now scheduled to get my medication later today. read more

But it definitely could use lots of work, between the customer service (not friendly), the cleanliness (honestly just need to redo the floors, and restocking. This is perhaps one of the most dreadful places I have ever had to work with. My doctor called in a prescription here a few weeks ago. I have been calling Walgreens to review the prescription and have it sent to another drugstore simply because of the disgraceful customer service here. Considering the fact that this is a pharmacy that deals with people's health, this place should be ashamed of themselves for the customer service they provide. In my most recent of many attempts to collect my insulin from Walgreens, I waited over 30 minutes on hold. Nobody even picked up to say hold on. Pathetic and shameful. read more

I really like this 24 hour Walgreens in Elmont!! It had a nice size parking lot which is pretty much always busy but there is space to move! They don't have a drive/thru but I'm okay with that!! The customer service is pretty good too! Today Sue-Ann helped me and she was a sweetheart!! They always remind me to use my balance rewards card too because I tend to forget Walgreens have a reward system which I love so much!! They improved the Elmont location too!! They sell sushi, fruit cups, sandwiches, fresh flowers, etc at this location now which is cool!! This is one of my favorite locations!! read more

My go to Walgreens. One of the few pharmacies that isn't always crowded. Everything has a place, they also usually have everything listed in stock too. The store is clean, and the workers are visible if you need help. The lines for checkout can get long, but overall good Walgreens. read more

So recently I left a review about how TERRIBLE this Walgreens is and how they hold back medications. I want just speaking out of my butt and ranting. I'm doing something about it. My lawyer recently did reviews and apparantly ne suggests, and I've given him permission to go ahead based on the following: Way too many pharmacists when it comes to filling controlled medications have become bean counters. They look at today's date minus last day filled and if it doesn't compute to 28-30 days, they are going to say no even if the doctor says it is okay. It is as if someone is going to do some harm to themselves if it is filled a couple of days early -- unlike when they get a full month's supply on hand and decide to do something harmful to themselves. Most of these pharmacists have a great deal of "book smarts" but little or no clinical experience with subjective diseases (pain, mental health, anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD). All they know is what they have read in a book or they were taught by someone at college in an "ivory tower" who has more book smarts than clinical experience. They seem to have forgotten that all of us are individuals and our bodies respond as such, and that there are no black and white answers to individual medical care -- especially subjective diseases. If I was in your place, as your attorney I will send Walgreens legal department a letter stating that if their pharmacists continue to not follow doctor's orders and cause you to lose business, force you to take days off, or even lose your job because you are not able to get your meds on a timely basis -- causing incapacitating pain, withdrawal, hypertensive crisis, stroke, death, etc. -- that you will hold both the pharmacist and the corporation responsible. I would also include in the letter that you are going to file complaints with the New York Medical Licensing Board and Board of Pharmacy that the pharmacist is practicing medicine without a license, as well as file a civil rights violation/discrimination complaint under the Americans with Disability Act, for not following best practices and standard of care. read more

Who doesn't love a 24 Hour Walgreens?! I love this Walgreens because it is conveniently located in my neighborhood. The staff is always pleasant and will provide assistance no matter if it's 3:00 AM! I usually find myself at this Walgreens at random hours and the store is always organized. I go in for one item and before I know it, a hour has passed and I have a basket full of items. The pharmacy itself is 24 hours and you can fill your prescriptions at any time, which I absolutely love. If the pharmacist knows that you are waiting for a prescription they value your time and don't have you waiting forever. Let me add that the workers always encourage you to utilize your Walgreens Balance Rewards Card which is great! I've saved a few bucks with my rewards card which I can definitely appreciate. Also Walgreens always has their monthly coupon booklet as soon as you enter the store. A lot of customers don't notice it, but you can get extra discounts in addition to utilizing a coupon from the weekly circular! This store also has a fresh food section which has desserts, fruits, cold sandwiches and sushi! Yes SUSHI. Don't expect an exotic sushi roll, it's just your standard California roll, lol. Walgreens is located in a small complex with a nail salon, Chinese restaurant and a convenience store, and the parking lot is a decent size. On holidays such as Mother's Day or even Valentine's Day, this store is flooded. A lot of people come here for their greeting cards selection and during those times, the lines can be a bit long. I've also seen people purchase flowers here for their loved ones and the quality of the flowers didn't look bad at all. At the end of the day...This Walgreens is completely WINNING. I walked in a few days ago and saw that they were selling "My Little Pony." I never knew a grown woman like myself would be so excited to see that lol, but it took me back to my childhood! I hate this place at night. It's always understaffed, the aisles aren't labeled properly, the item tags on the shelves aren't where they are supposed to be, and their pharmacy is the longest wait ever and there's usually only one pharmacist at night. During the day, the pharmacy and the lines aren't so bad. At night, it's like trying to get into the club. read more

This a 24 hour Pharmacy. This Pharmacy is always clean and fully Stocked. They are also hiring at this location. They are looking for someone to fill in as an Asst Manger and a Manger Trainee. There is always Coupons and Sales "Save up to 75% on MED D COPAYS" that you can use at this location and the Pharmacy is always trying to find ways for you to save a buck or two on a Rx or some other type if medication. This Walgreens is always on Point and always in the know. Eg: They always want to know if you have taken your Meningitis,Flu,Pneumonia,Shingles Shots and if you haven't taken those Shots they want to inquire and find out what is the best means for you to take this medication if you haven't already done so. This Pharmacy has everything that you can think of from Candy to Products that is good for your health and other needs. They also have a nice size parking lot which is good. If you have AAA or a Walgreens Prescription Card you able to save additional savings on your Rx's and other medications. I have a Family Walgreens Card for $35 a yr I save a Ton of money for medications + also with my AAA discount card as well. read more
