The Walgreens Pharmacy in Flowood, MS has been a complete disappointment. The cashiers Ms. Lisa and Ms. Hailey made my experience a failure due to their lack of professionalism, lack of socialization skills( don't smile, don't greet), and inability to listen. My first negative experience happened when my husband went to pick up one prescription, but they charged him for two of the same medication. That made absolutely no sense. Because I was in the hospital at the time, I returned the extra prescription once I was discharged. When I came in, Hailey gave me an attitude and refused to acknowledge that they were at fault. I had to advocate for myself just to receive my husband's refund. The second incident was even worse. I needed an important medication immediately after being discharged. Walgreens was the only pharmacy that had it. Another pharmacy (that did not have the medication in stock) advised me to try GoodRx since my insurance didn't cover it. I presented my coupon, but Ms. Hailey and Ms. Lisa refused to honor it and declined service altogether. When I returned--10 days postpartum--Ms. Lisa yelled from the drive-through, saying, "I told her what the price was going to be. I don't know why she keeps presenting the same thing. We couldn't honor her price when she called." Completely unprofessional and unnecessary. I came back to the pharmacy. The only positive part of this experience was Ms. Kayden. She remained calm, kind, professional, and helpful--exactly how someone who is ill and postpartum should be treated at a pharmacy. She did what Ms. Hailey and Ms. Lisa should have done from the start. Ms.Kayden reviewed everything and adjusted my price per policy. Ms. Kayden deserves recognition. The behavior from Ms. Hailey and Ms. Lisa needs to be addressed immediately. I have reported the unwarranted behavior to corporate. Ms.Hailey and Ms.Lisa- If you no longer love your job, that's okay. But showing up rude and nasty to people who need assistance isn't professionalism, it's a sign it's time for a new chapter/ a mental issue that is bigger than customer service. You picked your job, the customers did not. Go get an education, get help, (EAPS), and do better for yourselves. read more

While in the photography area, I had uploaded pictures to be developed. I was having a hard time getting the online coupon (PUMPKIN50) to apply when prompted on the screen. I waited until the guy was finished with his customer to ask if he could come help me. He then helped 2 more customers who walked up, then came over the the kiosk where I was. I showed him my phone and the coupon code where it was not accepting it. He then went in back and returned saying his manager said go ahead and complete the order and he would apply the coupon when I paid. So I went to pay for the pictures, he said he couldn't apply the coupon because it was not good. Again, I showed him my phone and the coupon is good until October 12. He said there's nothing they could do I could just pay for the pictures. I asked how much would that be and he said I haven't even printed them out yet. This lack of courtesy shown toward customers tells me why I should have gone somewhere else. read more

This is absolutely the worst Walgreens pharmacy EVER! So lazy and no customer service skills at all! So rude and nasty. They could care less if they ever helped another person in the world. Terrible pharmacy . Will not be using them anymore. Was told they would not fill my prescription because it was nine months old and not prescribed how he thought it should be prescribed . What business is it of theirs what it is for and how it is prescribed?!? My OBGYN wrote it that way for a reason. Very annoyed by this pharmacy! Worse pharmacy ever. Called in my script they already had on file anyway. Came to pick it up and drove all the way home to find they shorted me 100 pills. Called and no one ever answered the phone the whole 15 minutes it took me to drive back. Now they don't believe me and have to check their cameras to verify I'm not cheating them. ^ 1 star rating is a reach honestly!!!After nine years of my loyalty today was my last visit. First of all, I was pressed for time and was surprised to see I was able to pull right up to the window. However, when I did I was met with the most nonchalant attitude in customer service I've ever experienced. I prepaid for two separate prescriptions prior to arriving to make the transactions smoother and quicker! The app never generated a barcode nor did I get a confirmation email but as shown on the photo my card was absolutely charged. I'm no fool I know these things are not the actual pharmacist fault. What I do know is it is their app. I presented proof of the charge she still was like ma'am without proof of payment on my end there is nothing I can do. I asked for a manager and to my disappointment she was one. At this point I'm obviously highly irritated and my voice understandably went up an octave. So then her little side kick came and stood by her like she was top notch security! I asked her ma'am can you fix the problem? "No I just heard you yelling my." (in an combative tone!) At no point did she say to me I apologize there must be a glitch or let me take your name or anything she just really gave me the oh well approach. You may have gotten a degree or passed the American Pharmacist Licensure Examination but you failed at something as simple as showing concern. read more

I have never, in my 36 years, had such issues with a pharmacy. Every. Single. Time prescriptions are called in, there are problems, and I end up having to call multiple times just to get them to follow through with filling the prescription. I am DONE. I will drive an hour to use any other pharmacy. Just an example of this month's issue: Two days ago: The app says there's a problem filling my prescription. Ok, so I call. They say I need to wait one more day to get it filled. They say I need to call again the next day. One day ago: I call again as asked. They tell me now that the prescription CAN be filled, but the medicine is out of stock. It will be in stock tomorrow. Today: I HAVE TO CALL A THIRD DAY IN A ROW. "Hi, please refill this now that it should be in stock." The Walgreens employee tells me that not only can it not be filled, they won't have it for a WEEK. And they can't transfer the prescription for me. She tells me I need to just call other pharmacies to find who has my medicine, then call my doctor and have him call in my medicine to ANOTHER PHARMACY. THATS IT. ITS EVERY SINGLE MONTH. IM DONE! This place is a joke! UPDATE: My husband called after hearing what is going on. Now they're telling him they DO have the medicine in stock, and it will be ready shortly?????? After having me call around to other pharmacies today to find it myself because they "won't have it for a week" AND having me call and bother my doctor's office. UNBELIEVABLE. read more

The customer service at this Walgreens location definitely needs an overhaul. I'll basically say that it needs the customer service overhaul from the pharmacy to the main store. There are some good employee's here that do their best. They can give an explanation of how things work etc. But the majority could use some training. I am NOT happy with the customer service at this Walgreens! I have been a LOYAL customer of Fred's Pharmacy for years! Fred's was small town and wonderful! Customer Service was paramount! Also, I've spent ALOT of money over the years! Well, Fred's was bought out by Walgreens. I called Walgreens to talk with them about being my new provider. I had to extend my stay in Flowood Halloween week and subsequently ran out of my five prescriptions for blood thinner, heart medication, etc. My prescriptions were with my previous employer prescription service and I had just enrolled to Medicare at the first of the month, so had not refilled any of the prescriptions through Medicare. I went to this Walgreens pharmacy and asked if they could help me. AND THEY CERTAINLY DID. The pharmacist got my prescriptions information, checked my Medicare coverage and filled all of my prescriptions; all within 30 minutes. DO NOT drop off anything here!!!!! Sent a phone back and when it got to its destination the phone was gone! Samsung sent me a video showing when they opened the package it was ripped and re-taped. I went to walgreens and the manager told me it did not happen there and refused to view the cameras and said that I need to take it up with fed ex. You might not think of a drugstore as a pit stop, but I'm telling you this is the best pit stop I've found between Ponchatoula, LA and Noxapater, MS. It's clearly visible and easily accessible from Highway 25, just northeast of the Dogwood shopping area across from Wal-Mart and the Flowood water tower. I stopped in to get some essentials and realized what a great pit stop! The restrooms are at the back of the store, and they are clean and roomy. Being a drug store, it has aisles for stretching the legs and there's interesting merchandise to look at and buy -- healthy road snacks too. Sure, you have to stop somewhere else for gas, but gassing up can be done at the pumps. Why go inside a dirty convenience store that has filthy restrooms and smells like fried chicken livers when you can mosey on down the road and stop at a clean store? Because the parking spaces are close to the door, the Flowood Wal-green's also beats out St. Dominic's Hospital (which also has clean restrooms). Also, like St. Dominic's, the Walgreens is open on holidays. read more

I waited in the drive thru for 25-30 minutes, I get to the window and the associate said he didn't see a prescription for me. I pulled off, parked, and called MEA and they confirmed that the pharmacy accepted my prescription at 5:13. I went inside, they still claimed they didn't see it, I shared that MEA confirmed that the pharmacist accepted the prescription. Suddenly they find my prescriptions and said it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I sit in the car to wait and returned inside after 20 minutes, inquired, and they claim they didn't see the prescription after one associate told me it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I spent and hour and a half waiting on my prescriptions. The pharmacist and all the associates were very rude, nonchalant, and never apologized for the miscommunication or their errors. I'm sitting there sick and they showed zero sympathy. As I waited another customer encountered a similar situation and her prescription still was not ready after 3 hours. I am not certain what's going on at the Walgreens Pharmacy on Hugh Ward in Flowood, MS, but my last two experiences have been horrible. I will no longer have my prescriptions filled here. read more

I have shopped at Walgreens in Flowood for several years and the customer service has always been great. That's the only reason I am giving two stars instead of one. But tonight was very disappointing. I am very familiar with the service industry because my occupation is marketing, managing, and consulting restaurants/businesses. Customer service is the most important thing and the Walgreens staff was lacking that tonight. And I get it when someone shows up 20 minutes before you close and the staff might become a little annoyed. But you should never get annoyed with the customer then be rude to them when they are being 100% polite and thankful to the staff for checking me out at 11:55 when they close at 12:00. After they had scanned all my items, I realized that I accidentally left my debit card in my car which was parked right in front of the building. I told the cashier that I was going to run, grab it and be right back. I also thanked them. All three cashiers/staff behind the register rolled there eyes. But that is not why I am writing my first review ever. A different employee that was monitoring the door at close was rude. As I was running out the door to get my card, I also thanked her and said I will be back in less than a minute. She looked at me and said we are closed. I replied by saying, " My purchases were already scanned(total being $65.00) and I was grabbing by debit card. She told me they were voiding my transaction because they were ready to leave. Again, my car is in 8 feet of the front door. I told her I would be back with card to complete my transaction. You would of thought I had completely ruined the year 2021 for her and it has already been a rough year for everyone to begin with. So I came back in and completed my purchase and walked out the door. We do not have time for anyone in any profession to be rude and unprofessional. So please tell your staff that they are part of a business that makes money and to be friendly to the people that shop there. Being rude and disrespectful gets you nowhere. Every time I have used this particular Walgreens Pharmacy, I have been exceptionally disappointed. In my past 10 visits, I have only had one pleasant experience (not sure of the lady's name, but she is very attentive and helpful). The pharmacy techs are extremely rude and do not communicate information that is necessary for one to know.
