I ordered items for pickup, but they canceled everything within the hour. The email said they were "out of stock" for every single item I ordered. My photos ended up getting printed so I still had to drive over here anyway and was curious if my items were actually out of stock. I found every item I had placed for pickup was on the shelf! I had stopped shopping at Walgreens for over a year now and that justifies my continuance to do so. read more

The pharmacy here is AWFUL. They do not consistently enforce their own policies and ask you DIFFERENT questions every time you pickup your RX. Last time I had no issue. The prior time, I pulled up, they asked for my name, DOB. Fine, no problem. Then wanted my address, ok, np. Then before she would give me my RX, wanted my phone # too? 99% of the time they ask for name and verify address, then they complain to your dr when you get upset with them because they can't bother to be consistent. Do yourself a favor and find a better pharmacy, the pharmacist here is HORRIBLE and its clear this location is not customer focused. LOST prescriptions. LOST time. If I could leave ZERO stars, I would. This pharmacy has always been our go to. The past two times, the service has been horrible! My 8 month old baby was terribly sick with strep and flu. They took THREE DAYS to simply transfer out his prescription. My baby suffered for 72 hours with no congestion relief because they just don't answer the phone. Another time they said my script wasn't ready, she asked I wait 20 minutes. That's fine. I wait the 20 and pull back around and she tells me ONE HOUR. I had to pick my kids up from daycare, this is not OKAY. I would have been fine to grab them first and come back, just stop wasting peoples time because you wanna chit chat and be lazy behind the counter. Never coming back here again, I suggest no one else does either. read more

Drive through line seems to take forever and it doesn't help when they mess up your order and you have to come back...

The pharmacy is completely incapable. The lines are always ridiculously long and move at a snails pace, prescriptions that are on automatic refill don't get processed, and then after waiting in long lines to pick up said prescriptions they say they are not ready and you have to go back the next day and wait again. Never have I spent less than 15 minutes in line, and have had to get out of line and leave after 25-30 on more than one occasion. read more

The Walgreen's on Alta Vista has to be the worst pharmacy on the entire face of planet earth. I've begged them for 3 months to do auto refill's, I've had them not give me a full prescription multiple time's, I've had them tell me I don't have insurance (which was false), I've had them put things back on the shelf and say "you didn't pick them up fast enough so we re stocked them and now they're gone." I've had them leave a voicemail stating that "I need to do better at calling in prescriptions on time" when I've begged them for months to put it on auto refill so that I don't have to call. Worst pharmacy I have ever been to. They put you on hold at minimum for 10 min at a time, the drive through is SO SLOW, today it took me 22 min and let me add, there was no one in line. That was me at the window continually being told they'll be right with me (after I saw her walk by the window 7 times). I almost honked to get her attention JUST so she would acknowledge a customer as the drive through line was building behind me. The ordering time for medication that initially says it'll be there the next day usually takes a week longer (not sure if that's them or manufacturer) They also ask for your CC before they even calculate the total for you which I think is shit customer service. Either a staffing quantity issue or quality issue. Probably quality. Go elsewhere. read more

All i can say is wow!!!!!!!!!!! for a company who is supposed to have our wellness and best interest in mind this location does neither!!!! i have never had a pharmacy that show such little care, empathy or lack of follow through and complete disregard for peoples time. i called just now and waited for about 5 minutes to speak with live pharmacist as the automated system instructed then after the phone ringing for 5 more minutes someone picked up and said how can i help you? when i told her what was going on, she put me back on hold and this time the phone was literally ringinig for 5-8 more minutes and at this point it was a battle of wills because i did not want to hang up and grow through this entire frustrating ordeal yet again!!! however, after 8 minutes the pharmacy must have gotten sick of the ringing because they literally picked up the phone and hung it up without saying a word!!!!! i called back and asked them if i could just take my presciption to any other walgreens even in a different state because i would still get the meds before this store actually sent them. oh on a side note they never call you when your script is ready or if they have an issue one time my mom waited for her medicine that was supposedly ready the next day according to the automated refill, but when we called the next day they said not ready yet and that they promised they would call when ready.....literally 1 week later with no medicine i called them again angry and they said sorry there is a shortage and we dont have any to give are you kidding me. i asked why no one called like they promised and all i got was a shoulder shrug!!! worst pharmacy ever!!!! dont believe go in there once drive thru or iniside and tell me what your experience is like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Called in refill for insulin was told it would be ready by 11 am today Just arrived to pick it up and was told it wasn't there. They are waiting for it from their central location...whatever that means! No communication whatsoever that it was not going to be ready today. Was told maybe tomorrow. Insulin is pretty important and to not even communicate all day that it was not going to be ready is totally unacceptable. Will be moving prescription to another pharmacy. This experience actually should be a negative number but the scale doesn't allow that very simply went to pick up a couple prescriptions through the drive-through and the young 48 agent kept asking to repeat the same question huh what I can't hear you because your vehicles too loud oh I'm sorry would you hear my race car the next time and after the repeated answers the agent just put down the phone and walked away for five minutes another agent came ask the same questions only once got there And everything was just fine all for three dollars whoever hired that first agent needs to fire themselves good evening read more

This Walgreens is the closest to my house, yet I go to it the least. The store architect is retro on the outside, box design. The front door is not welcoming and has small double door entry into the actual store. The sales associates were having their own conversation and did not acknowledge we were there, even though we were Actually in front of them. Not customer service useful yet, but maybe they are still in training. I did not like the cashier check out stations either, they were cluttered and without an associate standing right there to acknowledge me, I did not know were I needed to go. Now that I have actually traded here, I probably will be back, but as far as the WOW 5 star experience, it did not happen here, today. read more

The best thing about this Walgreens is its location, it's is about a block from my house LOL, I love the new set up, it is very modern with polished concrete floors. The low for this branch is that seems to have less products than the older branches. As far as service, you might find other reviews that service is extremely slow and I agreed at some point. That was the case of during the first months of operating since they opened, service has improved but there is still a lot of room to grow. Over all Walgreens is about convenience, and this location is very convenient for this neighborhood, I just wish they would make it a 24hr store. Happy Yelping read more

The layout felt too CVSish. I tried to use the automated script pickup system but it told me to go to the counter. The girl didn't seem all that enthused about having to come up to the counter. Since this was the first time I filled this script with Walgreens they did a consult although I didn't really need anything since I had been getting it mail order previously. One of the workers walked through and said hello and asked if I needed anything when I was picking up a couple bags of nuts, which was nice. It was a nice and clean store. There were several people up behind the front register laughing and joking around but then again there were no customers waiting so it is all good. I would almost give it a 3.5 instead of 4 but there is no option for that read more

This is an absolutely horribly run Walgreens pharmacy. I will never be getting my prescriptions filled here again and unless you'd like to waste over an hour of your time trying to pick up a prescription, I suggest you do the same. Going to the drive through to pick up took 20 minutes and several "bell" rings before someone even "acknowledged" us. We then waited longer before someone actually came to help. They made me and my sick daughter come inside when I had a question because I was "holding up the line".... 45 minute wait time for a flu shot despite a scheduled appointment is not ok. The explanation I was given is that they needed to get caught up with prescription medication so the pharmacist didn't have time. Not sure I understand why the timeframe was available to book when it clearly was a bad time for the pharmacist. I've had multiple flu shots at the other Walgreens locations during my lunch hour... which I had scheduled in advance like this time. Never a problem. (11/30/21 -11:15) Was on hold for 18 minutes and 32 seconds and the phone disconnected! It kept saying one color ahead of me which is BS!! I. I called back and it says the same thing, one caller ahead of me! I never spoke to anyone. I finally hung up after 43 minutes! I am a senior citizen and I have at least 30 prescriptions there that I'm about to move to a different store! This is ridiculous,if you paid better you would have enough employees!! As a physician I find that the pharmacy service at this Walgreens is highly unacceptable. I went 4 times, I'll repeat FOUR times, the same day to pick up an antibiotic for a minor procedure. After having seen my order the first three times on the fourth attempt they could no longer find it in their system! Now I'll admit it was only for a minor procedure but countless others do depend on their medication for more serious medical issues. I rarely write to complain about poor service, in fact this is only the second time ever, but I felt compelled to mention this since again we're dealing with medical issues, and not with substandard restaurant service. I will be changing pharmacies since I've had other issues with this pharmacy in the past. read more

This new Walgreens is clean and orgainzed. More modern than the other Walgreens. Very bright inside. Of course I was reminded how they always advertise specials in their sales paper. The employees don't know what's on sale. The store doesn't have the specials in stock and not even a place on the shelf for the specials. I'll enjoy them being so close to the house for basics like a Monster, toilet paper and gum. I won't be reading the sale paper though, it will only disappoint me because it won't be in stock. Kudos to them for getting it built and opened so quickly. Now if only distribution can keep up with marketing. read more

I've been going here for about a year for my daughters prescription birth control and I will definitely be leaving soon. The service is horrible, employees are always rude or don't know what they are doing and they never have her prescription ready on time which is very very frustrating especially because it's very important she takes it every day at a specific time. Normally I will go to CVS, but in April on my way to the hospital my friend stopped since it's right by my house to grab us some drinks and himself a snack in case we had a long hospital wait. After drinking our orange juice and him eating most of his chips I noticed the expiration date was more than 3 months past.....his chips were also two weeks out of date.....all I could do was laugh and be glad we were already at the hospital. I stood there and had a few employees look that I was waiting ... never acknowledged me... never asked to be helped... and once I was approached to the counter let's just say the staff member wasn't having. The manger at this store is great, However there is one Male pharmacy tech that has an attitude about doing his job. He always gets an attitude starts getting loud and flinging his hands around. He just so angry if he has to do is job. For instance why He is saying my usual $15 dollar script is $300. If your at the drive through and there is a problem he wants you to pull around bc he has to keep his line moving and rolls his eyes. It's not my fault they messed the price up.
