Alton-Micheal provided excellent customer service. He answered all my questions and his representation as a company rep being the only cashier and welcoming guests he didn't skip a beat. The location was easy to find lots of parking and again. Great service and good variety of products I found exactly what I needed. I hope the company gives this employee the recognition he deserves. Went to Walgreens on Higley and Ray today. Bought 2 Dove Shampoo and the cashier manually rang up one of them because it wasn't in the system so my $3 registered reward didn't print. Then the shift manager tells me to call the 800 number. I showed him the receipt because it read "self serve " instead of Dove Shampoo. I told him that they are not going to honor the $3 because it doesn't state Dove Shampoo. His name is Jesse and he just walks off. I will be calling corporate as well as the store manager first thing tomorrow morning and I will not be shopping at that store ever again. Good riddance read more

I would not buy a gift card here- they use 3rd party cards and if they don't activate it correctly then you are SOL. They will not and say "can not" help you. You have to contact the card issuer- and they do not get confirmations from Walgreens about purchases- so too bad. CVS does a much better job!!!! read more

Kristal who worked the pharmacy front desk was terrible. I showed up to get my two shots and this lady told me I hadn't signed up online. I showed her the confirmation email and she just looked upset treating me like i made up the confirmation email. She was talking to me like a robot ignoring my questions. She asked me for insurance which I didn't have with me and told her i could get my partner to get that she asked me to go through the questions on the screen and ignored answering me again and again. My partner drove 10 mins and showed up and turns out it was not needed cause she was able to find me on the system. There is a difference between someone overwhelmed and someone rude and this lady was just plain rude for no good reason. The pharmacist who administered the shot seemed nice and answered my questions so giving it a star. read more

I realize we are in a pandemic but the pharmacy is very difficult to work with. My prescriptions that used to take same day amount of time, now take 2-3 days. I understand insurances delays as well but no updates come from the pharmacy either to say otherwise. I have had to physically go down there because they once they left me on hold for 45 minutes, just picking up and not even speaking but back on the loop again to wait. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I had a Px that I needed to pick up. I showed up at 9:00am on the dot (right as the pharmacy opens) and the pharmacist forgot they had work. I waited a whole hour and still nobody showed up. Not sure how they are certified or even capable of handling drugs here if they can't show up for work on time. Not my favorite Walgreens location but it still beats CVS. The Walgreens layout makes it simple to find what you need and get out, although I could spend ages there. There is a Chase ATM and a Redbox kiosk inside, which is very convenient and the photo and cosmetic counters are very helpful. The man who is typically working the front check out counter is the only reason I avoid going at times (or try to check out at any other counter). He is unfriendly(never greets me not looks at me) and miscalculated the cash for the gift card I purchased. He may have a story or history that I am unaware of but if I were the owner, I would want the best customer service representatives at the front to be the face and voice of the location. read more

I came to drop off a new prescription because I am sick. The tall male working in the pharmacy was incredibly rude. He rolled his eyes and put his hand out and gestured, "I'll be right with you". Well 15 min went by and he never came back to speak to me. I finally got up to ask the older lady how long it would be as he never came back to talk to me. He rolled his eyes at the older lady (who was clearly helping out) and said, "just give me a minute" in a rude tone. I finally said I'll just come back...... I'm sure I'll hear some BS reason like the last product was just bought by a customer. Do you realize how lame and untrue this is? The odds are astronomical. I love this Walgreens! The personnel are so friendly and helpful! My personal favorite is Mary. She just goes above and beyond as a cashier. I came in with a bunch of coins and she helped me count out exact change so I wouldn't have to use my bills. My total was over 10$! And that's just one of the times she's helped me. Pharmacy: Ive been loyally getting all my diabetic Rx at Walgreens for over 3 years, Id say they collect on avg close to $ 2000- $2500/month off my ins. I call and speak w a rep to refill a Rx. no issues. My wife swings by to pick it up, she was turned away bc their was "an issue" w my ins, staff said they have to call my ins. 2 days later I get the standard automated vm that my Rx is ready to be picked up, so a few days go by, I swing by to grab it...ONCE AGAIN, im told theres some issue w my ins, and to come back...or wait a good while for them to call my ins. I says, thats what u guys did last week...and now u want me to leave again empty handed twice to come back for pick up #3??? i have completely lost faith The Pharmacist said theres nothing he can do about it, but that he'd be happy to have me wait for 1.5hrs for him to make a call to my ins. I told the Parmacist that since he already did that last week, to just give me the Rx since this is purely a reimbusrement issue, and if there is still an issue, just send me an invoice or Ill pay mext time Im refilling, CUZ IVE BEEN A LOYAL customer 1-2x/mo for 3 years running. At this point, the Pharmacist starts talking OVER ME thru the phone in the drive thru... I said, "are u just going to talk over me now? uhhhh, how about I switch Pharmacies" and his response is, "ok" theres a pharmacist right next to my office now that ran my scripts thru without any issues with my ins...funny how life works sometimes...Im sure the Pharma guy is on Walgreen's salary and could care less cuz they cut him his check...but damn man, who do u think cuts Wallgreens their checks??? my insurance does fool! so I sure hope some upper exec sees this review, Im telling everyone I know about the new Pharmacy that opened up next to my office, farewell Walgreens! read more

Go somewhere else! We use this Walgreens pharmacy for a few years now. They gave me the wrong medical supply (lancets) + my family member had to wait for 25-35 minutes for a vaccine as they were busy helping people who came in AFTER her. The last straw was today. I'm looking at my credit card statement for the billing period of 4/28/17 - 5/25/2017. I notice they didn't refund the difference on the wrong lancets they gave me on 5/12/2017. They gave me the wrong lancets the last time I was there (5/12/2017). I corrected them right there in person after they handed me the bags. 100 test strips + 100 lancets for $70 The wrong box of lancets is around $25. The correct box of lancets is around $20. They gave me the correct box of lancets after i brought up the error (?) right in front of them after paying for the wrong item. I know if i walk out of the store there will be no refund like the last time they gave me a wrong box of lancet (2016), even if the box is still sealed, given it's medical supply. I didn't see any refund on my latest statement. The closing date on my statement was 5/25/2017, if they refunded me the difference it should show up a few days after 5/12/2017. This Walgreens is the closest to us but it's best to go somewhere else. If you are going here for your medication or medical supplies-- be sure to check your medications and medical supplies provided here before leaving the store. read more

I just bought a dry shampoo today, the lady there was very nice and helped me a lot, highly satisfied!

I went into this location for a flu shot. I've been going to Walgreens for flu shots for several years and have always been pleased with the service; however, this was my first experience at this location and unfortunately it wasn't a good experience. I told the pharmacist I was there for a flu shot, he rolled his eyes and told me it was going to be a few minutes. I wasn't asked for any information such as my name, or given a form to fill out and sign as I had been in the past. I asked if I should take a seat and he told me yes. There was another gentleman who was coming back from lunch so once he clocked back in he apologized for the wait and gave me the form to fill out. I waited a total of about 15-20 minutes in the waiting area. When the pharmacist came out to administer the flu shot, he proceeded to take a family that ARRIVED after I did. I was very annoyed with this. When it was my turn for my shot, the pharmacist didn't say 2 words to me. I understand he was busy since there was someone on lunch, but all it takes is simple communication. It was very clear this gentleman was very flustered and having a hard time multi-tasking. I've never experienced such poor service at Walgreens and was very disappointed, to say the least. That was the last time I will get a flu shot there. read more

Don't go to this pharmacy if you have anywhere to be. I went in for a flu shot with my Aetna insurance card and after 15 minutes they decided they couldn't figure it out and asked for me to call my insurance company. I did and clarified for them exactly what they needed to do. 10 minutes later and they still have made no progress at all. I just left. If they can't figure this out, I don't want them putting a needle in my arm. Avoid this location read more

As this Walgreens is my regular drugstore, I chose this location to get a flu shot at. When I arrived at the pharmacy there were no customers so I thought I'd be in and out in a breeze but 20 minutes later, I was still waiting for the shot. After giving the first pharmacy employee my insurance information I was told to have a seat and that she'd get the paperwork that I'd needed to fill out in order to have the pharmacist give me the flu shot. As another 10 minutes passed with no paperwork to fill out, I watched the 3 employees answer phones, help customers that walked in and those that came through the drive thru. It truly was not busy, but it appeared that flu shots were not priority one, two or three to these employees. Perhaps these employees/pharmacists value the service of flu shots as an intrusion on their time because it was clearly obvious that I was not an important customer to them. After thirty-five minutes the paperwork was finally given to me and after another 10 minutes the pharmacist finally gave me a flu shot. In summary, I came into the Walgreens at the corner of Higley & Williams Field to find no customers in the pharmacy area yet it took the staff 45 minutes to administer a flu shot, My recommendation is that if you are looking for a place to get a flu shot, this location is not the one to come to. read more
