There is a reason I drive out of my way to get all our prescriptions filled at this Walgreens. The pharmacy staff working the evening of 1/21/26 seriously saved us!! Problems with insurance and transferring prescriptions. I was already stressed with a kiddo in crazy pain from a freak ear infection. They took care of everything and my mama heart is at peace. I really like this pharmacy. I especially appreciate being able to use the drive-through as walking is difficult for me. There are 2 lanes, one for Rx drop offs, and the other for picking up filled prescriptions. They are usually very busy but these days that's nothing new. Everyone is short staffed and overworked. So I remind myself to have a little patience, and enjoy some music in my car while I wait my turn. When I greet the pharmacist tech with a smile, I always get one in return. Two more things I like about Walgreens... when my prescriptions are running low, they will call my doc to get a refill for me! That's made possible through their app. Gotta love technology. And at the end of each year, they give me a printout of how much I've paid for prescriptions, so I can use that for taxes. read more

Asian pharmacist lady at 930pm tonight tried to keep my prescription and didn't give me any meds. I gave her my prescription and she said it was already closed out from another store I went earlier but I never got anything from that store so I'm here. So I ask for my paper back she said she has to keep it bc she already put it in the system. I said "why? You didn't give me any meds I needed" she said oh so you're not going to come back tomorrow for it I said NO! That's how people die, the pharmaceutical system wants your money it's like they get a bonus from selling you already poisoned drugs. Visited to grab water bottles and electrolytes while my wife went inside care center for Doctors appointment. Store was clean and organized. Appropriate measures were taken for COVID too. Sanitizer was kept at billing counter however no wipes anywhere. Checkout was easy as there was no crowd when I went. Billing counter lady was nice and courteous too. It's most nearest convenience store near to Abrazo hospital and recommended for any needs. read more

Listed as a FedEx return location but they can't help you unless you have a QR code. I have a barcode from the company I'm issuing the return through but not a QR Code. They said they can't do it because they can't print labels for the package. Then why is it listed as a shipping service if they can't provide the full service! FedEX doesn't specify if the location you're going to is an actual FedEx or Walgreens so you waste your time. read more

And yesterday I had scheduled a online appointment to get flu testing and once I take my 2 grand baby's out of the car and run through the rain to get in there the lady then first helped the guy behind me then once I was finally helped still stood there for 10 minutes just for them to tell me they didn't have anymore test! The service didn't even acknowledge me for 15 minutes even when i pushed the button for their attention! When they finally came to the window they acted pissed off for no reason! I don't recommend vaccines at Walgreens at Hillcrest and 67th Ave. I scheduled a vaccine one week ahead. When I arrived the Pharm Tech, AJ, asked me to sit by private room which I did for a while. Then AJ came out to tell me Walgreen corporate sent all vaccines to busier stores even thought there were scheduled appointments. AJ said they had no inventory so I could come back and they would keep my paperwork. I came back two days later and AJ told me he threw out my paperwork so I would have to start over and schedule an appointment. When I asked to speak with a manager, Mike Britt said due to privacy they could not keep paperwork. Then AJ said he found my paperwork. At that point had no desire to do business at that location. If I wasn't forced to by my medical plan I would not use ANY Walgreens. I sent a complaint through the "walgreenslistens.com" more than a week ago. I used this pharmacy a few times with no issues...however a few weekends ago I went to pick up my script as usual. It's pretty pricey especially since I need it monthly. Previously I've used a manufacturer coupon at a previous Walgreens and had no issues they even saved it on file for me and everything. I've used said coupon at this location a couple of times with no problems. Well on this particular weekend it's a completely different staff and the lady that waited on me seemed to have an issue with me right off the bat for who knows why. She tells me my script cost and I said oh that can't be right there should be a coupon on file meanwhile she just keeps giving me this smug grin and tells me it's not working. I didn't want to keep holding up the carline so I said I'll go inside to handle it. As I hobbled in she sees me and whispered something to her male coworker and looked at me obviously wanting me to know she's talking about me? it was weird. It just seemed like this person had it out for me for some strange reason. This guy had no personality, obviously didn't want to be there and pushed me off to the pharmacist on duty. I'm standing there for a good while and I hear the phone ringing and the pharmacist is answering the calls in the back, no one is talking to me or seemed to be trying to help me. So, I spoke up and asked what's going on, then I hear the pharmacist say she's working on it while waiting on other people. I get frustrated because I've already waited in the carline, now I'm being told they're trying to help but waiting on other people behind me as well as on the phone. According to the pharmacist she wasn't able to get their system to work with my script/coupon. I wasn't about to pay full price when I can get it for more than half off. So I left empty handed. I ended up switching pharmacies so I wouldn't have to put up with their rude and ignorant staff. I went to pickup my prescription at the other location to find out they deleted my manufacturer coupon that I had on file. So no wonder they couldn't get it to work and just lied to my face and didn't want me to get my meds at a discounted rate for some strange reason??? I Do not recommend this location or the staff that waited on me. Just disappointed because the usual staff that had waited on me in the past wasn't rude or incompetent. read more

The weekend pharmacist hung up on my husband and walked away from the drive thru after making us wait 30 minutes and then trying to give him someone else's medication. Made a booster Appt a week ago and no one showed up for pharmacy shift on 10/31. Multiple associates walking the floor and avoiding telling people waiting in line the situation. No sign in pharmacy stating situation. Waited on hold in the store to see if I could get someone to tell me. On hold 15 minutes with no pickup and no one answering any calls just avoiding. I'll never be back for anything as there are a number of CVS nearby. DM/RD/DVP need to get into this store. read more

To be completely honest 1 star is too high for this place. Rudest staff I have ever dealt with. Anytime I go there the staff is on "break" or they are closed for the day. I called to pick up medication and the woman who answered had the audacity to ask me - well "haven't we done this for before" - with the snobbiest attitude I have ever heard. I will never, I repeat never go to this pharmacy again and I will be calling their cooperate office to make sure this issue is dealt with. I've been reminiscing a lot nowadays, blame old age or just boredom, and I just felt like I needed to review this Walgreen's because of all the nostalgic value it holds. When I first moved to this barren desert in 1994, I lived on West Villa Teresa Dr. right next to this store. And, I remember how I just wanted to run back home to California, never to see this state again. My Granny, may she rest in peace, made my transition to this state a little bit easier by being with me for a few months. If anyone ever had childhood depression, it was me, I hated it here. She would see me moping around the house, or out in the sweltering heat of the backyard, and ask, "Lil' girl, do you want to go to Walgreens?...I'll buy you something." Immediately, I'd perk up, because Walgreens, on 3rd and Evans Ave, back home, was familiar. We'd take our short walk over together, coming home with some spectacular treat. Giggling and smiling, and holding her hand...gone are the days. Now, there are times that I remember that don't make me tear up, like when I sliced my hand open on the VCR plate, permanently disfiguring my palm under my right thumb, and the visits to buy more steri-strips as the monstrous gash healed (Age 7). Buying Gatorade to rehydrate after being released from Arrowhead hospital after my bout of Taco Bell food-poisoning (Age 10). Going to buy steri-strips yet again after piercing the back of my index finger on my left hand with a butter-knife (Age 13). Hey, I am and will always be a bit of a klutz...But I have some non-medical emergency memories of this place. Like the time, Samara A. and I were hanging out in front of the store, joking about me being out of breath after biking from my house, just to stall long enough to catch my breath and let my hives go down (Age 17). Good times indeed. It's always been close, even with our move down the street. I've never truly gone here and didn't find exactly what I needed, when I needed it (24-hour locations are for pussies!). The store is organized just like any other Walgreens and clean. The clerks were and are always extremely nice, some damn near comedians. I may have fussed with the pharmacist or pharmacy techs once or twice, but only because I'm picky about having brand-name prescriptions (generics kill!). With photos processed and taken as quickly as you needed them. And there was always that intriguing person or two sitting outside on the bench next to the water machine... This place is like a very old and dear friend to me, I really just couldn't have seen my life without it. Then again, it also reminds me that I've just been here in this state entirely too long. read more

I receive my medication through the pharmacy at this location and due to the type of medicine it is extremely important that I do not miss a dose. I was dealing with insurance issues, I was no longer covered and without a primary insurance I would have to pay way more than I could afford. I had another insurance that wasn't working at other locations for some reason. I went into this store in order to get it figured out. I was helped by Holly, a pharmacist tech. I went in expecting to be told to call insurance blah blah blah but that was far from what I got. Holly spent the next 10 minutes typing away, greeting customers (by name) and solving my issue. Compared to my experiences at other locations I was elated to find out that people still take the time to make sure that the customer's issues are resolved. People are quick to call out the lack of care towards customers but not to often do we get the other side. Well folks Holly is the other side. Thank you Holly! read more

I use, without exception, this Walgreens on the corner of 67th avenue and Union Hills. Every visit is a pleasure. Even though I recognize their faces during my visits, I wish I remembered every employee's name as they each deserve to be acknowledged. Nothing is too much trouble for the employees of this store. I especially want to send out kudos to Mary, the pharmacist and Debbie, the pharmacy assistant. These two ladies are exceptional. They understand the importance of exceptional customer service and go over and above their duties to answer your questions and help you in any way they can. I highly recommend this store. I decided to drop off my prescriptions to be filled at this location since it's close to where I now live...BIG mistake! I'd rather drive the four extra miles and go to the other location on 51st and Bell. When I dropped off my prescription with Debbie, I was asked by Debbie if I'd like to wait since it should be about 20 minutes. I've now been here 50 minutes when the pharmacy tech Jackie asks "did you drop something off and you're waiting?" I wanted to reply by saying "Nope, I just like hanging out in your hard plastic chairs watching your horrible customer service!" Instead I was nice and answered her. She couldn't find anything in her computer and asks who I dropped my prescriptions off to. Then she says it should be about 10 more minutes...LIES! I have now spent a total of 75 minutes here. The actual pharmacist would not speak with me regarding the lack of "customer service" hey supposedly provide. When I asked what the delay was I was told they were extremely busy. Three people that dropped of items before me waited and got their items. Mary the pharmacy manager is just as horrible as the rest of her staff. HORRIBLE LOCATION!!!! read more

CVS requested all prescriptions my doctor accidently called into Walgreens be transferred to CVS. Walgreens did not comply and kept one. I chased this prescription back to my doctor thinking the doctor forgot to call it in. It took 4 days to get this reordered only to find out insurance wouldn't cover it. Doctor again called in a replacement into Walgreens where I found out they STILL had the original prescription I was trying to find and had never transferred it to CVS. I called Walgreens repeatedly the entire day. At one point I was on hold for 45 minutes. I walked into the pharmacy and saw one person being helped at the register. One staff member playing with the computer at the drive through another staff member in back and the phone ringing off the hook and not being answered. I was helped immediately and told they were extremely busy... Apparently that's why I walked right in and had no wait. I was told CVS had to again request the prescription. Not sure how that's possible when this location doesn't think answering phones is important. The prescription was only $17 but I'm not paying it to this store after this crap. read more

I just moved to the area and went to this Walgreens for the first time today and I'm sad to say I won't be going back. I'm absolutely appalled by their lack of effort to comply with covid-guidelines. While they are promoting masks and anti-bacterial wipes, they allow people who are completely mask-less walk in to the store without enforcing any regulations. When I asked the cashier about this, he just shrugged at me like it is no big deal. Mind you, this is a pharmacy, not your ghetto 7-11. If you are this unconcerned and unaware about doing your part to control the pandemic, you need to work somewhere else other than a pharmacy. This cashier was rude, nonchalant, and could not even understand a simple question that I asked about Walgreens reward card. I am a healthcare provider and my patient and I experienced the poorest customer service with this pharmacy. My patient was notified they did not have a prescribed medication, and the pharmacy staff did not offer to obtain the medication nor transfer the prescription to a pharmacy that did have it. When I called the pharmacy to discuss I was placed on hold twice after requesting to talk to the pharmacist. I waited for more than 5 minutes before staff came on the line and told me to hold again. This time I was hung up on after waiting another 5 minutes. I attempted to contact someone at corporate about this matter, but the Walgreen's website does not make it easy to get in touch with anyone. read more

Slowest pharmacy literally ever, especially since they're usually not busy when I'm there. They don't keep up with refills via text message, so I have to call to get my refills regularly (never had this problem at any other location). All of the white coat pharmacists I've seen at this location work very slowly and just seem generally lazy. One of them even told me they didn't have my prescription on file because it was under a different location and I guess she didn't feel like transferring it over on her computer. I had someone else do it instead. Actually, all of the people who work behind the pharmacy desk always seem miserable. Maybe this is a reflection of how much it sucks to work for the company or Walgreens. I'm switching to CVS of Target pharmacy asap. read more

I checked online for the "Ology Pure Castille" soap brand BEFORE I came in. Walgreens website has it for $4.19 & online it says that it was available in store to have it picked up now. So I went to the store, got there... The soap was $13.99!! So I go & show an employee the literal website with the price on it & everything. She said she can't price match it. Price match what, it's your own damn website? I asked why the hell would they have it on their website for $4.19 & that it could be picked up now if they can't honor their own price they have on their website. She said I have to order it online & pick it up at the store. How pointless!! She then said "I can go ask my manager but he's going to say no, I already know it". Went up to ask about this prescription and was told they don't have it in stock. Are you kidding me? Why couldn't they tell me that when I dropped it off? I needed to get a periodic inhaler that my Dr. prescribed. The prescription coverage on my insurance leaves much to be desired. The cash price for the medicine my Dr. prescribed was around $75.00 which, believe it or not, is less than my co-pay on brand names. The woman who helped me proactively offered to help me try to find an alternative. She spent over five minutes plugging away on her computer, applying coupons she could find etc. She eventually was able to find me a competing product which was 1/2 the cost, roughly $35.00. I said "sold!", wandered the store for ten minutes, and left with my prescription. It is rare these days to find people that will go the extra mile for you and that's exactly what they did.
