Prepare to be hung up on numerous times when being put on hold. If you do get them, they will tell you to come and pick up an Rx by a given time, and when you show up, they tell you to come back hours later. I travel all the time, and I kid you not, if you need a refill a day early, they tell you to change your flight rather than understanding your needs. I do not know how Walgreens corporate tolerates this place. Also, their counts for meds have been off more than once - I am guessing this is a serious legal compliance and insurance issue.

Walgreen family? Walgreens at the 1403 Waukegan Rd location, has been beyond unreliable to deliver prescriptions in a timely manner or loose your prescription in their system. The new pharmacy employees , are put behind the pick - up counter without proper training, not knowing their system with many problems for their own loyal older customers . Example, we don't have your prescription, have your physician call it in, while it's in their system already. My physician was irritated, thought I was the problem. Now he knows there are many operational issues at your pharmacy department at that location , due to him having to call it in again and again after turning in the prescription. This has happened frequently and they claim to have supply shortages too- share meds between different locations. When we finally were able to pick -up the script we were lied to again. Your wonderful brand name Walgreens is going down hill fast. A "former" great American company falling apart due to mismanagement at that particular location .

Such a rarity nowadays. 5-stars to CVS for that. The representative shared my experience and connected with the store manager, Don. Don called me later that day. He was professional, empathetic and apologetic. He assured me that he and his manager will address the incident with the employee. I really appreciate the follow up. 5-stars for Don.

Terrible experience at this pharmacy drive-up. Came to pickup a prescription for my wife because…read moreshe's sick. Person immediately says, "are you sure you want this? It's really expensive." Huh? It's for my sick wife. Are you telling me not to buy the prescription for a sick person? Stunned, I asked her if it went through insurance and she said no. So I tried giving her my insurance card and she said I needed a different one for pharmacy. I wasn't aware of this but this was my fault I told her I would come back and I pulled over to call my insurance and they get me to the pharmacy coverage rep. I pull back into the drive-up and the rep said it's probably better just to give my phone to the pharmacy to provide the info they need which when I suggest this to the pharmacist, she gives me the biggest sigh and rolls her eyes at me. But reluctantly took it and spoke with the rep. After getting off the phone, she tells me I need to go to the back of the line. No explanation just go to the back. What? The rep on the phone says, she needs to run it through the system so it could take a few minutes. Ok that makes sense. Just would've been nice to be told that by the pharmacist instead of just go back to the end of the line. There's only a couple cars in line and not a big deal. By the time I get to the window, I give her my card to pay and she's obviously pissed at me (huh? This is all part of your job), takes payment, gives me my prescription without saying a word and off I go. Her attitude just sucked the whole time. I get that you feel like you're busy and you're in a bad attitude cuz you hate your job. I get it. You know what's worse? Trying to keep 3 kids under 8 quiet and behaved in the car for almost an hour waiting to get a prescription for your sick wife.

But I can't comment much on their pharmacists, though my parents go here for their meds and they never had issues, otherwise I would hear more than a mouthful from them. Plenty of parking, and the pharmacy has a drive-thru for your convenience, and is located on the southwestern corner of Greenwood and Glenview roads. Definitely better on prices than the nearest 7-Eleven but doesn't run 24 hours which 7-Eleven does - I think the nearest one is on Greenwood and Ballard.

I said my mom is waiting what is going on ! She said she had not been told she was waiting. Alot to be desired of this place and its lack of execution! The other day i went to pick up an urgent med for my parent and was told they did not have it available. I explained the urgency and suddenly they had it available. This is an older Walgreens and our second choice Walgreens if the Des Plaines one is out of stock…read moreof something or whatever or we happen to pass by here at the right time. The parking here is more congested and usually more crowded than the Des Plaines location. All Walgreens have a great Senior's Day promo (for age 55+) which is 20% off on everything (except food and liquor) on the first Tuesday of every month. That's a good once-per-month deal. Walgreens is also going private so we'll see what if anything that means for us consumers in the upcoming months.

I scheduled his shot online on the Walgreens app for a 5:30pm appointment. We get there a bit early, ~5:25pm and check in. We had prefilled out the questionnaire form asking about medical history and known conditions prior as there was an option to do so online during the initially scheduling. Not only did we not get serviced by the pharmacist at 5:30pm, we had to wait until 6:15pm until the pharmacist was ready to administer the shot. I get it...you're busy and need to attend to others but don't allow us to schedule a time just so you're not available to actually address our needs until 45 minutes later. Not only were they late, they also had issues with retrieval of the form we prefilled. They also didn't give us a clear estimate on when the pharmacist would be ready. Mind you, there wasn't anyone ahead of my dad waiting on a vaccine. I really believe that if you're in the service business like all pharmacies are, you should be attentive and responsive to your customers. I don't think I'll be coming back to this pharmacy unless it's past operating hours at a closer pharmacy to the house.

I inquired about a booster vaccination and was told that I could walk in and if it wasn't busy, I could have a vaccine. But, it would be good to call before coming in. So, I did just that and a different pharmacist answered and said they do not do walk-ins at all. The next day I called and was told if it's not busy, I could get one. So, I took my chances and went in. Of course, I was greeted by a different pharmacist and was told appointment only and no extra vaccinations were available. And they were pretty rude. So, no vaccination for me. I ended up going to another Walgreens close by and had a completely different and pleasant experience. Photo - my advice would be to check your order before leaving the store. I was given someone else's photos TWICE!!! And my name was on the envelope each time...ha.

I noticed that this is the only Walgreens that has the Photo department (where you do pickups) connecting right to the general checkout counter. The woman at Photo was not particularly welcoming, she kind of complained that I clicked "I am here" on the app that instructed me to do so. She said once I clicked that, the clock would start timing her, she said I only needed to click that if I waited in my car by the sidewalk. I didn't see why it's a problem that I was already inside the store, and she didn't need to go outside. The chocolate was pre-bagged, she gave that to the cashier who scanned it. As I had already paid online, it was quick. I didn't spend too much time inside this store, but it looked smaller than the other Walgreens stores that I had been to. It's not as bright and looked quite dated. However, I was happy that they had this chocolate that's my sister's favorite at a discounted price, and the pickup was quick and smooth.

It's very small compared your average CVS, only 2 aisles filled with emergency items such as over the counter medications, gauze, medical cream/Vaseline etc. No food, beverage or electronics here. Most employees come here to pick up their prescription or if they need some medical supplies for emergencies. Great overall service, the pharmacist is very willing to answer all your questions. Very convenient when you are an employee at Allstate Northbrook. They close at 5pm and during lunch hours.

Was sent there from my pharmacy down the road, upon being assured that this pharmacy had my medication when I got there. NO such luck - the employees were super rude, questioning me why nobody from my pharmacy called or contacted them in advance - like it's my job to call them - Hah!. And Each one yelling and shooting nasty looks my way while yelling ! Is it MY responsibility as to who should call whom within your CVs store circles? If so, pay me to work there. So Then they made me wait, all the while the third employee asking how my pharmacy would even that their location had this medication. Of course, the second pharm tech - rudest of the three - miraculously had my medication after 20 minutes of my waiting , watching all three - she was super angry, stomping around - and didn't want to give me eye contact upon returning to register , but she said she found my medication that another patient returned - she claims when I asked her how she had it - and practically threw the medication on the counter. Thought she'd kill me ! Omg - who do you hire at that pharmacy? I AM most definitely complaining to corporate as I did to my pharmacy just now !!!
