I've always have a good experience at this Walgreens. The lady at the front register speaks to everyone as they walk and leave. Today, I was here to drop off a FedEx package and lo and behold what took me by surprised as I turned and glanced at the liquor....organic margarita mix. Had to push my surgery out by a day because the instructions sent by my dentist were not properly put on the bottle of my script so I didn't start them on time. When the dentist's office called to complain, they were so very rude to the nurse! Don't be overly trusting of this Walgreen's location for your meds. My nurse told me this was the 2nd time this happened with this exact location. On the bright side, the lady at the service window was very nice to deal with. And so are the checkout staff. read more

This is my go-to Walgreens when I am on the westbank. It is a tradition Walgreens with the traditional items. You can buy everything from Chia-Pets to medicine here. The staff are reasonably friendly, but the store stays very busy. It seems that there are never enough registers open for the amount of clientele this place gets. On my most recent trip I tried out the photo section. On the Walgreens site you an upload photos and have them printed and waiting at your local location, usually within an hour. I uploaded a few and received an email when they were ready for pick-up. The whole process took less than an hour and I had my images. This location also has a Chase ATM located by the front door. While not as convenient as a drive-thru, this is a safe alternative late at night. I will continue using this Walgreens when I need something quick, and you should too. read more

I always go to this Walgreens to fill my prescriptions every month and I went to other Walgreens and receive horrible service but this Walgreens is the a pitta me of great customer service the staff is friendly courteous professional and punctual I will never go to another Walgreens but this one and I highly recommend it read more

Convenient location. However, listening to one cashier tell another how she is going to effect food stamp fraud was a bit unnerving. About a year ago, I reviewed the Walgreens on General Meyer. I like that one. The people are friendly, the lines move quickly, the pharmacy moves quickly. It's like they are a team and want to make your experience the best it can be. This Walgreens is the opposite. The cashiers move slowly or are on their cell phones, the workers block the isles with their supply carts and just chat as you try to find a way around them. I've even been pawned off multiple times when I've asked where something is located, "Go ask so-n-so at cosmetics" SO I go there and they tell me to go ask at the front cashout... No one seems particularly happy here and as I was parking not too long ago, I saw one of their employees go to her car, get her ashtray, and dump it in the parking lot and drive away. That's how you can tell someone doesn't care about their workplace. If you LITERALLY treat your workplace like a dump, then you have no reason to be there unless it really is a dump. The only reason I didn't give it a 1 is that it's close to Rouses so you don't have to make 2 trips. read more

Hmm...I guess I'll review it, since I go here a lot. If you have been to one Walgreens, you have been to all of them. Most of their stuff is a little overpriced, but they do good business because you don't want to drive all the way to Target to get a fresh tube of Maybelline. They have cute stuff for the holidays and lots of Saints trinkets, if you are looking for a last minute gift, Really good ice cream selection (Blue Bell) and they carry the new flavors. They have a decent, yet overpriced "grocery" aisle, but really, who goes to Walgreens for that stuff, anyway? The one department that is always a "win" is the photo section. I don't know why in the world did I ever go back to that store. There is a employee there that is the rudest I mean rudest person alive, she is a horrible person. She dropped my beer in the bag it dented the can she does not where a name tag so I don't know the women's name This is about the hundredth time that I called and spoke to a manager to tell them about herself and nothing is done about it she is the only one there that is like that So they don't do anything about it. Their pharmacy is so damn raggedy. I have come here several times with my hubby to fill his prescriptions. EVERY TIME it's a tragedy. He drops off the script. Comes back, they give him the scripts he's not eligible for yet. He says 'put that one back, I'm only picking up this one'. Goes back at a later date to pick it up. Now they don't have the script, or they've already charged insurance so insurance won't pay the script. Next time, they told him they didn't have his prescription that he had previously filled with them and called in the refill over the phone. They told him to call around to other Walgreens and CVSs to see if it was there. The next day they 'found' it. First I blamed DH for making it more complicated than it had to be. But after dropping off a simple script for ointment last night and attempting to pick it up 4 hours after I received notification that it was ready the next day,I have no choice but to believe it's operator error, not GIGO. The retail staff/area is actually pretty great. Of course I've stopped here to buy everything from birthday cards to hair grease to contact lens solution. The cashier is always fast and courteous. The shelves are always stocked, and the store is well kept. It's easy in/out of the store and parking lot. I dropped of my prescription last night and they told me they would have to call the doctor the next day. No problem. Got my text a 9:01 and went at 12:30 to pick it up at the drive thru. I'm not sure what was going on in front of me, but it took that poor sap 20 minutes. Then I pull up and hand my license, insurance card and hsa debit card. She says there's no prescription for me. I give my name and birthday. She says they got nothing. I said "I got a text" she says "from us?" (No, Lee Iacocca) I said "I dropped it off last night, she scanned it, and I got this text...but if it's not there just give me the script back and I'll go to CVS." She leaves to check, comes back, says "we found it, but I have to reprint your flyer". So that whole ordeal honestly took another 15 minutes. The retailstore itself I really give a 4. It's a great Walgreens. The pharmacy I only give a 2. So it equalled out to a 3. CVS on Belle Chasse is just slightly out of the way for me but definitely worth the hassle. I lost my wallet here and the manager called me up and returned it to me, so that was cool. Oh and the pharmacy line is like super-long after five, other than that, I don't know what to tell you. I mean it's a Walgreen's, guys. They have a Redbox. You can check out at the cosmetics aisle if you don't need cigarettes. The mixed nuts are fairly priced. That's about it. read more

I cant remember the photo ladies name off hand but she's always so helpful when i go in to pickup my photos. Im a photo freak and always looking for a deal of two. She always tells me when there's a frame or album on sale. Like i said i can't remember her name (horrible w/names) but she's probably in her late 40s early 50s with brown Hair. If you need any help with restoration or photo packages she's the one to ask for! read more

Worst wallgreens ever! Lines always super long and never more then one cashier available.

Staff friendly, but at least 1/2 the time they do not have the items advertised in the Sunday paper. This has happened 4 times lately. Feels like a bait and switch. read more
