The staff is unprofessional and rude. The bathrooms are adver as public, but they refuse to unlock them unless you make a purchase first. The slushy machine is always broken. If you feel like being treated like garbage, go to this location.

RIDICULOUSLY LONG LINE AT 7AM The cashiers at this location so send more time talking about how they don't want to be at work than working.

THE WORST OF THE LOCAL CIRCLE Ks I am a runner. In the summer I am constantly looking for hydration pit stops. Sometime I also grab a sausage for quick protein. This Circle K is the worst of the 4 on my route. CASHIERS ARE THE REASON (see pics) The lines at this location build up because the cashiers spend more time complaining about work than doing any. But what really is irritating is that the smoked Gouda sausages (OMG they are good if you can get one) and all of the others are never in the right location. Unfortunately you don't realize this until after you've left.

Every kind of Poor Boy you can think of. I had The Who Dat one which is shrimp smothered in bisque. It was indulgent and I'm happy I indulged. Love the person at the register. Asks your name then says "hi Bob!" No frills, just great poor boys and other items if you're so inclined.

Although I rate 3/5, I am in no means saying it is bad. Let me explain…read more We waited around 15-20 minutes for our food, and there is plenty of seating. We ordered: Fried Okra, Cold Big Easy, and Da Yat. For the fried okra, it was a bit salty but a good snack to bite on. Cold Big Easy tasted like a 'ol regular sub of Roast Beef and Ham. It tasted exactly as described, just nothing crazy. Da Yat was good for my first half of the sub, but it started to feel very heavy at the end. Lastly, spice. As someone who loves spice , but has lower than average tolerance, it wasn't super spicy. Yes, there is spice and it can build up each bite (especially with the fried Okra), but it will not make you feel like your tongue is on fire. Spice enthusiasts may want to request the more spice. I give it a 3/5 because it was good and does the job of a Po Boy, but it was not out of the world. I am content coming here as one and done. I still recommend this place to tourists in the area wanting to try a Po Boy. And I'm most definitely sure this place would hit even better after a fun night out in Bourbon St. especially as a late night drunk meal

Vegan spicy chicken! (4.5/5 Green Stars) How can you resist…read morea place named 2 Phat Vegans?! It's a lovely building in a great location, near the French market, Esplanade Ave., and Frenchmen St. The interior is cheerfully painted in bright colors with lots of art and posters on the walls. The bright green interior, contrasted against the red brick exterior, is fun and charming. I ordered my food to go a spicy chic'n sandwich (vegan chicken, vegan cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles) for $14.65, and waited at a table outside. The staff/owner seems a bit disorganized so you may wait a while depending on who's running the show. Case-in-point - the menu on the website is a mess! My food was good, however, and I'd have it again. Not a bargain, considering that it doesn't come with fries. Others report inconsistent quality - get your acts together, guys! I'm also rating 2 Phat Vegans 4.5 out of 5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, based on the following: * Everything here is vegan. Adopting a plant-based diet is the top thing you can do to mitigate climate change, deforestation, animal cruelty, and global food scarcity (and improve your health!) * Many items seem to be made in house, for example the hot sausage, which I'll try next time. I just found that out from an interview with the owner on YouTube. The website could do a much better job on this selling point. * Black-owned local business that's pretty conscious about the food and drinks that they stock. * Room for improvement: my sandwich came in what appears to be a Styrofoam box. Switch this to compostable cardboard please! Styrofoam is nasty for the planet.

There was one other person at a table and he turned out to be a friend of the guy who was working front of the house. We orderred two items and a blueberry smoothy. The fried ochra was AMAZING, and the sausage po boy which was pretty good but not great. They didn't have the chicken sandwich or the fish sandwich which is what we specifically came in for. Oh well. The table was sticky and there were no napkins in the holders on any of the tables. There was a thin layer of hot sauce in the bottom of hot sauce bottle on our table. We looked around and noticed the same thing on the other tables. We were really looking forward to this resturaunt and what we found was sad disappointing. You can tell it used to be something special, but now it's just dirty and smells like pot.

The Poboy here is to die for!…read more Honestly I was a bit intimidated walking through here alone, going past a rowdy crowd of mainly older white Gen X men to end up in this hole of a wall to order through an even smaller hole in the wall service booth. The ordering experience was a bit gruff and rough around the edges, but from then on, everything went right. First, you can hang out in the bar area at Erin Rose (I swear the crowd was friendlier than they looked) and eat there if there's space. I highly recommend their Paradise Peach, which seems to be from a local brewery. The bright, peach flavor of the lager does well to wash down the sandwich in the summer heat. I went with an order of the Braised Beef Debris Poboy and this is hands down not just the best Poboy I've ever had in my life, but the best beef or steak any sandwich I've ever had in my life! I wolfed it down so quickly and have to say the pickled green bean and banana peppers with that spike of horseradish sauce really sent this Poboy soaring! The braised beef was absolutely perfect and tender, amazingly so! I can get a bit picky about beef because I hate it when it's tough or gristly or has too much fatty parts that won't melt down, but I didn't have a problem with any of that. I'm no butcher, but seemed like they used a good part of the beef of what's already a fairly quality cow (Louisiana Wagyu Beef I recall reading) or maybe it was the whole braising process, but I wish I could have this for days! I'm going to be sad going back to Houston and not being able to eat this, but hopefully it'll still be around and just as amazing next time I'm back in town.

After a couple of beers, we noticed the little po'boy counter tucked in the back and figured we'd give it a shot. Best decision of the day. The sandwich was packed with flavor, served fresh, and exactly what you want after spending some time at a great New Orleans dive bar. I love finding places like this, no hype, no gimmicks, just really good food hidden where you'd least expect it. If you're grabbing a drink at Erin Rose, do yourself a favor and don't leave without ordering a po'boy. You'll thank yourself later.
