The pharmacy is playing with peoples lives and being beyond rude ! Have done business there for years and years because it was the best in NM ! Not sure what happened but they get worse every time we go in . You're at their mercy and they know it , while taking full advantage of. Walgreens on Joe Harvey Boulevard has been good to me for the past year since moving to Hobbs. The pharmacy works quickly to get my & my children's prescriptions when we need them. I have probably had 80% positive or non-dramatic interactions compared to 20% negative or head-scratching moments with the pharmacy staff. This is one of the cheaper places for beer, wine & liquor. There is free, ample parking all around the lone-standing building - and it's a way nicer Walgreens than the other one in town. One of the older ladies who works the register was scanning my items not long ago and asked me if I knew which movie the song over the PA was from. The song I think was Robert & Johnny's "We Belong Together." I knew the song, but was befuddled as to the movie... She kept scanning & said it was this movie with this red car that was jealous. She talked to me like I knew her for years, but this was the first time I had ever seen her. "It had a girl's name." I smiled. "Christine?" I asked her. Her eyes lit up, "Yeah. That's it! Christine." It was a funny moment in time. If you've seen the movie, you might understand why we were laughing. Now when I see her she smiles bigger than all the times I'd seen her before. I went to pick up 2 prescriptions at 1 p.m. today. Was told the meds were on the truck come back after 3. At 4:30 I went back to pick up the meds only to be told to come back tomorrow when I replied I was told to come back after 3 I was asked if I needed the meds, if I didn't need them I would not have them refilled. I said yes I need them, they told me to come back in 20 minutes which I did. The girl at the window went and picked them up came back and finally I received them. Either they were lying to me about the truck and always had it or they are just too incompetent to fill a prescription. Either way I will NOT use that pharmacy ever again and will suggest no one else does either. I have never encountered a more incompetent and unprofessional staff. Certainly not up to other Walgreens standards. This place needs some serious workplace improvements. I would only give this a tenth of a star if I could B. Sipes read more

Understaffed, poorly trained, pathetic human relations skills of pharmacy staff! 1st experience, they did not have what my doctor prescribed and I was told by the manager that it would be in "tomorrow morning". I drove the 35 miles from my home and was told that unless I wanted to pay almost $250 for 30 pills, I would have to wait until the next day, to get it authorized by my insurance company. The following day I was in Hobbs on business and dropped by Walgreen's and was told that they had not yet received my meds. I never did get them, finally talked doctor into prescribing something different. Skip forward a few months, last month, last month, I went in to get my monthly pain meds, and had to stand in line 45 minutes, while the 4 and sometimes 5 people behind the counter were mostly just milling around and visiting with each other, while 8 people were standing in line, but only 1 staff person was actually waiting on customers. Yesterday, I went back, and tried the drive up window, and was waited on by the rudest old woman I'd ever dealt with in a retail environment. I told her I lived 35 miles away and asked if they could call me when my meds were ready to be picked up. She told me my prescriptions would be ready in 3 hours, and if they had my cell phone number they would send me a text message, that they do not have time to call every customer to inform them they're prescriptions are ready, then slammed the microphone thing down and walked away before I could reply. Today, I'm waiting for them to open, so I can call and talk with the manager, and see if my meds are ready. I am then going to find a mom and pop pharmacy, so I will never have to deal with this fiasco again. I will never set foot in another Walgreen's again! read more

Under staffed, poorly trained and lack of professional communication skills of pharmacy staff. 1st experience they did not have insulin. Promised it would be there next day. Went to pick up and was told they didn't have it and didn't know when they were getting it. When asked why we weren't notified by text, email or phone since they had all 3...they had no answer. 2nd visit- Upon physicians email of prescriptions, 30 minutes later I went inside to pick up meds. Waited in line for 20 min. Told it wasn't ready, to return in 15/20 min. Drove around for 20 min., waited in drive thru for 30 min. to have her tell me that was not the time I was promised. Basically calling me a liar. I returned 2 hours later and waited another 30 minutes in drive thru - finally got meds. CVS can't open soon enough. Drive thru closes at 8, be in line with a full tank of gas by 7. The rest of the store is well stocked and runs more effectively. read more

I think the staff at the pharmacy has taken a turn for the better . Even though you have to wait and and they all seemed super stressed about how busy they are ,my last visit has really improved . read more
