I went to Madison Reed in Huntington for a root color. The colorist matched my shade and offered a…read moreglaze, which I accepted. She applied the color and then immediately started putting the glaze on at the same time, saying that's how they do it. I asked several times whether this would affect my highlights. I recently spent hundreds of dollars getting them done and was very clear I did not want them ruined. She assured me it would not. I was in a rush and left without fully drying my hair. At checkout I said the color looked very dark. The person who checked me out told me it would look better after a few washes. When I got home and dried my hair, my highlights were several shades darker. The glaze/color combination deposited pigment onto the lightened pieces I specifically wanted to protect. I trusted the colorist's repeated assurances and now my expensive highlights are compromised. I am extremely disappointed and angry. If you have highlights you care about, I would not recommend this location or this process.
