I really wish I could review the store on it's selection only but sadly I can't separate the employees from the shopping experience. First, the make up selection is probably the best variety that I've seen in a CCO. There's a mix of Estee Lauder products, MAC Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, Tom Ford etc just to name a few. You can score some limited edition items or sold out products that make it to the CCO for discounted prices. As for why I rate this place 1 star...the employees here are the rudest and most antagonizing bunch that I have ever come across. As a beauty and fashion blogger I tend to purchase a lot of items for myself, family and giveaways. You would think that if I'm legitimately going in with money/credit card I wouldn't be hassled like a common criminal but the group of employees here treat you as if it's a bother to sell their products to you. The first time I checked out the manager and store associate were questioning me about the items I was buying and it completely rubbed me the wrong way. I had the same experience on me second visit except this time the manager kept giving me sarcastic remarks as she rang me up. On my third visit, the manager tried to ban me from the store and argue with me in front of a store full of people. Once I returned home, I contacted corporate and they handled the situation. I am utterly disgusted by the behavior of the employees and the manager of this location. read more

ZERO!! This is for the cosmetic store. They sold two of my family members used eye shadows and refuse to allow an exchange or return. They never mentioned once there was no return policy. Absolutely disgusting! I'll be calling them later and seeing if they are more amenable, if not, I'll be reporting the store to the BBE and whatever health agency that is most appropriate. Update: An apology does not cut it. They do not understand that they were at fault for selling used products and their policy should not apply in this case. Do not purchase anything from here! Pretty good selection. They had my MAC shade deep dark in the loose mineralize powder. But damn, it's always hot in there! Turn on the AC please. 'Specially when I went early October and it was still warm. I originally purchased a MAC compact foundation.. and when i researched online when I got home, it was for dry skin. Not oily skin like mine. So I took it back unused and exchanged for some lipglass. I wish they had Clinique 4 in here!! They do have 1,2, and 3 if you use that. The store is okay, they've had new stuff most of the times I've gone in, it's a pretty clean store but the atmosphere can feel a little dull. I've seen staff just in the front talking and I ignoring customers when they walk in . I've also had an experience wHere I called and I believe it was the manager or someone she was very condescending and rude when I was asking her questions. She was very impatient and another time I was trying to ask an sales lady a question and she jumped in an interrupted and tried to tell me false facts about a product. I was trying to ask questions about the priceS as well and she kept saying well the prices are on the testers so... however some of the items don't have testers or prices even on the testers. I think as a manager of a store you shoUld be a little more respectful to your customers as well as your staff from what I was seeing. read more

Totally bad experience that the manager shouted on the phone when I tried to exchange the items bought three days ago due to the expiration date! I checked with Estee Lauder Company and realized that the makeup cream bought from this store is going to expire in one month, so I made a call to main store and the customer service directed me to the retail store where I purchased from. Eventually, I contacted this retail store and spoke with this RUDE and STUPID manager, and she mentioned that all products are final sale with no exchange or returns and she always make sure her fellow workers mention this to the customers. However, I was not being told when I purchased this, on top of this, the salesperson told me that it would not expire till 2020. However, this is completely not the case! The manager started to talk loud and being non-sense, just acting like a MENTAL ILLED WOMAN without taking a break from her illogical conversation. Finally, I said "to run a business is all about the word of mouth, but you don't seem to understand this concept as a manager and either this company suck or the manager herself suck." I had the worst experience especially with Covid going on , I went into this store and I was there about 20 minutes before closing and I wanted to get foundation . There were 2 girls there and no one was helping me . I finally went up and some girl was counting money she quickly showed me the shade and went back to counting money , no one helped me and I was annoyed but went about looking around I finally was going to make my purchase and another girl was counting money again , I waited for about 5 min and she said to me what I needed . I just wanted to get out of there and purchase my makeup some where else . I will never go there ever again . They were not helpful at all and just wanted to leave !! The worst experience I've ever had with any retail store. Employee named Victoria was extremely rude, condescending, and a liar. I made a purchase of over $100 the night before and one of my items was broken. I called immediately the morning after once I realized the product was broken. I spoke to someone on the phone that told me I can come and exchange it for the same item. I was not trying to get a refund or exchange for a different product. When I came in to the store to make the change, Victoria was there again. She stated that company policy was to check the items before selling to consumer and apparently it was fine when she checked "before I left the store" (accusatory tone). However she did not open a single item plus that exact product was in my hand and she simply rang it up. Doesn't matter what your company policy is if you cannot practice it, why not check the cameras then? My friend who was with me also confirmed that she did not check any of the items and was handed the additional items from her colleague. Instead of being honest and apologetic, she lied to our faces and in front of her coworker/manager. I told her I did not drive 2 hours from Queens for one simple product unless it was damaged to begin with. She replies, "Queens is only an hour away". Clearly Ms. Victoria is ignorant regarding NYC traffic including the size of Queens. The store is dirty, products displayed are also disorganized and filthy. Terrible store and the manager is THE WORST. When I started to tell another customer about the problem the manager ordered a saleswoman to call Security. I have filed a complaint with Tanger Mall customer service. A store that is so rude and terrible to customers should Not be in any Mall. The two lipsticks that I bought there were defective. The manager was nasty and would not give me a refund or store credit. I researched this lipstick by going to the Clinique counter at Macys. The Macys saleswoman told me the lipsticks were a miserable item and were quickly discontinued by Clinique. Macys' original price was $18.50 each. The cosmetics company sticker price was $19.50. This store is in an outlet mall. There was a 40% off sale on this higher price. The cosmetics store saleswoman told me the lipsticks were in their store because the departments store were overstocked. She did Not tell me the lipsticks were discontinued. She also did Not tell me that the 40% sale made the items FINAL SALE No refunds. I went into the store and requested a refund due to the lipsticks being defective and unuseable. The manager would Not listen and basically said "too bad for you". When I started to tell another customer about the problem the manager ordered a saleswoman to call Security. This is how they treat customers. Disgusting. Stay away. I have filed a complaint with Tanger Mall customer service. There is a good selection of different Estee Lauder Brands. The MAC selection is pretty good, but I guess not too many people know about this location becasue it doesn't appear that the inventory changes too frequently. They don't have sales or participate in the Tanger coupons, but the discount is very good as compared to the regular prices. Don't like that sales tax is a bit hgher on Long Island as opposed to the 5 boroughs, but unfortunately you can't do anything about that. read more

LOVE THE COSMETICS COMPANY STORE!!! In the Riverhead outlet, the girls working there are so sweet, very respectful looking women! They were so helpful when I was looking for products! The managers who also worked there are very sweet, from the ones I met, and also dressed very professional. The store itself has an uplifting atmosphere.
