This Walgreens is on my way home from work and it's always well stocked. Things can be a little out of wack on the shelves (wrong pricing in certain areas), but overall pretty clean and every time I've had Great customer service experiences. They also tend to always have really good deals in their frozen food items which is great for me when I need something fast and easy to make. My go to is usually their house brand thin crust pizza which you can get 2 for $9 and it's actually quite tasty! read more

I have little good to say about this store. Besides numerous trips to pick up prescriptions that had to be corrected, I've been told that the reason There are no carts in the store are that the homeless steal them. Therefore, true customers, particularly seniors are limited in what they can carry and purchase. My suggestion is to keep the carts behind the cashier counter, and only let real customers take one. We spend numerous dollars there every month, and being unable to lift or carry much is very limiting and requires a trip to 2 stores, not one. I'll be reaching out again to a region manager. There has to be a solution to this. read more

So this review actually hurts because in less than a year, I've gone from loving this store to just being okay with the store. The only thing I can attribute the change to is the change in management. I still love the store part. The staff is wonderful and it's still a couponer's hidden jewel but the pharmacy has become less than stellar. In the last few months, I've had to repeatedly give my family's insurance information which wouldn't be a bad thing in my eyes since I have big brother fears but it's only happens for one of my daughters and me. For whatever reason, it's like filling a new prescription every time with her which is at least once a month. One time they couldn't find the prescription that I dropped off. It turns out, they put it under my name. We don't share the same name or even close to same birthday so I'm not quite sure how that happens. Walgreen's Pharmacy Leaves Something More To Be Desired.. The first time I was there to have a prescription filled, the two service lines were six and seven persons deep and the drive through window processed a steady line of prescription orders. (Eat your heart out McDonalds!) From what I could see there were a half dozen or so pharmacy techs of various nationalities scurrying about keeping the drive through window supplied and placing orders in the holding rack. It was by far the most intensive activity in the entire store and undoubtedly responsible for Walgreen's 2016 billion dollar profits. It is for all practical purposes a highly successful retail network pharmacy. But what about real healthcare? Only one pharmacist oversaw this circus of activity that I could detect with who knows how many unseen individuals behind the scene hastily filling little plastic pill bottles with various medicines. It was Obamacare's assembly line medicine in full operation, a boon to the fortunate few who hold exclusive distribution status.: "The Obama administration decided to make a deal with the PhRMA to get them to support the legislation," he told Morning Consult. "PhRMA got a number of favorable provisions in the legislation." As you might expect, in any quasi chaotic operation born of special interest deals, things were bound to go wrong. In the multicultural- multinational drug market, the 'mission statement' is more important that the reality of care. Walgreen's president, Greg Wasson claims: "One of the most unifying forces behind Walgreens 113 years of success is our purpose: to help people get, stay and live well." Really? But shouldn't that process commence by ensuring that patients obtain ALL their prescribed medicines and not someone else's? After arriving at Walgreen's about a month ago, I had requested my prescription records be transferred to Walgreens from CVS. You AREN'T ALLOWED to retrieve your own prescription from a pharmacy under Obamacare; it has to be requested by ANOTHER PHARMACY. On March 27th, I went to get my 2nd prescription filled that clearly indicated there were two remaining refills on the bottle. However, I was told at the counter that they had NO prescription records for that medication. I informed them you should have the records as I had requested them to be transferred from CVS the last time I was at Walgreens. But I had to request the transfer of my 2nd prescription a second time and indicated that I would return on Wednesday of that week to pick it up. When I arrived at the counter on Wednesday a multicultural tech informed me that my pain killing medication was ready. I didn't have a pain killing medication, I replied. "Oh, then your Prednisone prescription is ready", the tech said. I don't have a Prednisone prescription either; I wouldn't take that stuff I replied. Makes you wonder if diabetic customers are getting the correct medication and dosages, hmmm? Nothing quite like being knowledgeable about whom you're serving. But regarding my 2nd prescription they said: "CVS didn't send that prescription to us because you have no refills remaining." But that wasn't true as the prescription vial I handed Walgreens clearly displayed TWO refills and it had not yet reached the 12-month expiration limit. The pharmacy didn't seem to care about the administrative foul-up and refused to honor my request for a few emergency pills to hold me over until I could get the doctor to write a new prescription because as their pharmacist told me ".. it wasn't legal." KMART did this regularly. So was it legal to push off narcotic pain killers and prednisone on me because they mistook my identity? It doesn't invoke much confidence on my part in their professional capabilities. Instead they had my third prescription ready (which I didn't need) and tried to get me to take that in lieu of what I requested. Starting to get the picture, yet? Is it just me? I came here at 9 this morning looking for hand sanitizer and wipes. The truck had just unloaded and they told me it would be about an hour before they would be available. Everyone who has since come in has asked about these items. They know what we are looking for and are unloading everything but these items. ALL DAY...literally...ALL DAY we have been waiting. They had stopped stocking for a couple of hours and waited until the night crew came in. YES...NIGHT crew. It is now 4:15 pm and we are still waiting. The night crew is seemingly slower than the day crew. This, my friends, is ridiculous. read more

Went here to buy some crutches they had ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE for $25.99. They wanted $49.99 for the exact same pair of crutches in the store. The supervisor on duty WOULD NOT HONOR THEIR OWN WEBSITE PRICE!!! I will never buy another item from Walgreens! I urge you to stay away from them too! I ended up going to CVS about a block away and found the crutches there at a reasonable price. read more

I have finally left this pharmacy. I have been getting my prescriptions there for over 10 years My meds are constantly out of stock, partial fills, etc. The drive thru lanes are ridiculous. One person working on two lanes, one at a time. And forget it if someone in front of you has a problem. Why wouldn't the problem person be asked to come inside rather than hold up 12 cars in the drive THRU? I have type 1 diabetes went to pick up my insulin which I take daily, some mix up, didn't have it in stock and oh, I'll need a reauthorization before they can fill that. Shouldn't that have been done when it was called in by my Dr? Now I have no insulin. Thank the Lord I have a friend who takes injectable insulin I can use. I hope to find more organization at CVS. read more

Store manager Ari is very rude and dismissive. Got frustrated with me for trying to do a transaction with coupons. Even though we were both frustrated when we were done I still said thank you and she didn't say anything back. She should be the one thanking me for my business and welcoming me to come back. The next time I came in the store she never greeted me or said one word to me but pointed me out to several employees as the customer that "went off" on her. Then I walked around the corner and personally heard Ari in the aisle telling one of her employees something about "customers coming in with these damn coupons and not understanding freaking policy". I didn't feel it was necessary for customers to be "damned" because they are hustling to save a buck in these very hard Covid times. I think it's very distasteful for a customer to hear you insult them in the store. It's in poor taste as the leading manager to not greet every customer just because of one bad experience. Why not try to improve on it instead of letting that bad taste linger? On several occasions management in this store, particularly Ari has made me feel completely devalued as a generational, loyal customer of Walgreens. I use to LOVE this location and I still enjoy much of the staff but current lead management is taking it downhill. read more

Just moved to this area and transferred my prescriptions. Last month it took me 3 trips to get 1 prescription. After the total inconvenience I set it up on auto refill. Sunday I received a phone call my prescription was ready for pick up. I went Monday to pick it up and they said it's not ready. WTH?!?! Why did I get a call it was ready if it's not? I'm going to switch my prescriptions over to the Shawnee Walgreens as I NEVER had this problem. Now I'm in the store checking out and the associate is telling me she doesn't show a prescription for me and is my name spelled wrong with the insurance company etc... what a bunch of incompetent people!!! How can she not find me in the system when I picked it up 30 days ago? I've noticed other customers are having similar issues. She's claiming my name has been entered incorrectly with the coupon the pharmaceutical company offers. Really??? The only reason I use this pharmacy is because I'm forced to by my insurance. Their customer service is the worst Ive ever received from any pharmacy I've been to. They rarely answer the phone and when they do they are not friendly or knowledgeable. Today i spend 6 minutes on hold waiting for the pharmacy to pick up. I called back and spoke with someone in the store and asked for the pharmacy and i was on hold for another 4 minutes! And this was at 6:30 in the morning! What pharmacy busy at 6:30am? Then I went to the store and there was absolutely no line and i had to wait 20 minutes for my prescription. At 6:30AM! How are these people still in business? They consistently treat customers like this because I've isn't experienced this multiple times . If I could transfer all of my prescriptions, I would do it in a New York minute! If you have a choice, I would recommend selecting a different pharmacy. I finally spoke with the pharmacy and even though my doctor sent my rx to them yesterday morning, they didn't request it be filled until after 10pm! That means I have to wait 3 days for a rx that should have been filled within 24 hours. Their actions show that customers are not a priority for them. read more
