He checked everything to make sure it was correct and reprinted items that had curled edges from being placed in too tight of a box. I scheduled a covid shot days in advance and when I showed up the pharmacist said their tech called out sick so they couldn't give me the shot. They did not let me know in advance even though I had an appointment. The pharmacist said I could go to a different Walgreens, so I drove 15 minutes to another location just to find out that the first Walgreens did not cancel the appointment (And I couldn't through my profile) so I wasn't able to get the shot. The pharmacy is effectively non functional right now. I just made my second trip this week to pick up the same medication, was told they couldn't push some of it through, then they said they could (it should have been filled and waiting, everything had been ordered ahead of time, no notice of anything going wrong). The staff person spent 15 minutes clicking on her computer in front of me and 15 minutes somewhere else with no update. She didn't explain what was going on. Twice I asked to just pay for the one rx they had filled so I could leave and was ignored both times. Eventually another staff person arrived with a couple bags assuring me everything was there. I went home and opened them and one of the three orders isn't there. This after spending about an hour trying to get prescriptions I had called to have filled. There were a lot of people waiting around and having similar success. I've been going here for years, I joined because my kids were small and the drive through was a god send. That has since been shut down. Today was my last trip. No amount of patience or trips or calls will result in a completed order apparently. read more

As far as Walgreens go, this location is less than. Based on the Lake Oswego location, I was expecting more, meaning well stocked and better customer service. I didn't use the pharmacy, so my experience is based on the store itself. Since I'm in this area a lot, I often stop in to pick up personal items and it always seems that they are low on inventory, not just during COVID days. I do appreciate their photo department, which is convenient for ordering photos online and picking up in the store, which was the purpose of my recent visit. read more

I hate to even write this my first experience at this store was amazing. Was my best experience with a pharmacy ever. The last 2 times though, I need to pick up my prescription and they're completely closed. When I called in, the message said the store was open both times, and gave me the hours. I came in to pick up my prescription that day and the next 3 days in a row and everyday, closed, no note saying when it would open again. I have a few controlled substances I have to take and I can't just simply transfer them to another pharmacy. The doctor has to completely resend them then the other pharmacy has to order them because they aren't common. I've had to miss doses of my medication which makes my condition much worse and caused some really unpleasant symptoms the first time I had to basically stop taking it unprompted due to being out and waiting on this pharmacy. read more

Pharmacy keeps irregular hours, is often closed or backed up. Clearly understaffed, which is a chronic problem that has persisted since prior to COVID. After four years, it seems like the corporation, store, or regional management should have addressed the situation. It takes days longer for prescriptions to be filled here compared to the area CVS or Rite-Aid. I persisted in keeping my Rxs here because it's on my way, but I'm now moving my prescriptions over to another pharmacy. read more

I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE A NEGATIVE 5! Worst experience ever to get my prescriptions refilled! Almost 1 week to get my prescriptions, after numerous 1 hour plus phone calls to check status with no answer. Was told by manger of store that "to be honest, I don't know when they will be filled. We are so short staffed Maybe you should take to another pharmacy". He even suggested Rite Aid, because all Walgreens were short staffed. Finally, today at 2:50 was texted my prescriptions were ready. I went 4 days with no necessary meds!!! My husband got in drive through line at 4:55. With 1 car ahead of him and 10 cars plus behind, then they closed the shutters at 6:00. The guy in front of him was very upset because his wife needed meds for surgery. He walked in and demanded to get it filled. (The in store pharmacy service is permanently closed). My husband did the same and went in demanding to get my prescriptions. I've never seen him so upset after he got home almost 1 1/2 hours later. The pharmacist told him he would not be welcome there in the future. Worst customer service ever!! One star is too high. This is the worst pharmacy ever! They left me on hold for 1 hour and 45 minutes. I finally just drove down there while I was on hold. I got to the window (after waiting in line of course) only to find out that they were not actually answering the phone because they're too busy and understaffed. It would have been nice to add that info to the hold message instead of just ignoring their customers. I never was able to get them to fix my prescriptions that were messed up in their computer system. And, again, they were too busy to contact my doctor to straighten it out. The pharmacy is jam packed with rude and condescending staff members. They ASSMUME what the question is going to be and shut you down before a question can be asked. Then the store manager is totally disinterested. I feel Sorry for any older person that made bow down to their bullying and not get their questions asked. I can't wait to contact corporate regarding this location FYI: The second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines should be administered as close to the recommended interval as possible (i.e., 3 weeks [Pfizer-BioNTech] or 1 month [Moderna]). However, second doses administered within a grace period of 4 days earlier than the recommended date for the second dose are still considered valid...as per CDC GUIDELINES read more

The automated system takes you in circles and if you ask to speak to a pharmacist it always says there are more than 3 people ahead of you for 1 hour, then for 20 minutes tells you there are 2 people ahead of you... etc. It literally takes close to 2 hours to talk to a human being, and then the staff are rude and dismissive and impatient with you. I was visiting Portland over the last three days from the Bay Area. I realized I had forgotten to pack my prescription drugs so I visited this pharmacy Tuesday morning to see whether I could obtain three days worth of my drugs to tide me over through my visit. The pharmacist whose name I believe was Troy could not have been more helpful. He contacted the doctors and my drug insurance plan and obtained a supply of all the drugs I needed within about three hours. I am forever in his debt! And the other multiple staff I interacted with in the pharmacy and checkout desk were also very polite and friendly. Kudos to the staff for their superior customer service! read more

I would like to share my experience of systematic incompetence at the Walgreens Pharmacy on Lower Boones Ferry Road in Lake Oswego, OR (Store #9625). While my doctor's intentions have been clear to the Walgreens Pharmacy staff that I need a shot of Pneumovax 23 (the second of a two-part pneumonia vaccine), and while it was also clear that my insurance covered such a vaccine, your staff worked against my receiving this shot through a long series of excuses and misdirection. All this despite my begging to get the second booster before my upcoming international business trip, where I will be visiting three different countries, while having a history of pneumonia. Over the course of January-February 2020 I had the following experiences when requesting this second shot, all with different Walgreen's personnel. All provided unique excuses and delays: On January 6th I was told that, while my doctor's intentions were clear, the prescription would expire before one year passed from my previous shot (by a few days), so I had to go back to my doctor to get a new prescription for Pneumovax 23. I spent $80 at the pharmacy on other items. On January 13 I took in my new prescription and was told that no one was available to give me a shot and that I should call ahead. I spent $10 at the pharmacy on other items. On January 14 I called twice and, but couldn't get anyone from the pharmacy to answer, so I couldn't see if someone was available to administer the shot. This was outside lunch hours by the way. On January 27 I was told that the pharmacy had run out of Prevnar 13/Pneumovax 23. I was also told that I didn't even need a prescription for this medicine! I was told to return later in the week, but to call ahead to make sure that more medicine was in stock. I spent $88 at the pharmacy on other items. On Feb 4 I took my prescription in again but decided against waiting for the shot because I was told it would take at least 30 minutes. My wife and I separately spent $39 and $92 at Walgreens on other items that day. On Feb 8 I waited an hour to be told by Pharmacist Quyen that, while she understood my doctor's intentions, she wouldn't give me the Pneumovax 23 shot because the new prescription I received from my doctor was mistakenly written out by the nurse for "Prevnar 13." She told me to return to my doctor to got a new prescription for Pneumovax 23, the medicine that my doctor prescribed in the original vaccine prescription. I spent $10 at the pharmacy on other items. On Feb 8, immediately after my last experience as a Walgreens customer, I took the same Prevnar 13 prescription into RiteAid. The pharmacist used his common sense and, within 20 minutes, gave me a shot of Pneumovax 23. I spent $33 on other items at the Rite Aid pharmacy. This story provides a great contrast in the abysmal customer service and incompetence provided by Jerry Huff (Walgreens Pharmacy Manager) and his staff at Walgreens Store# 9625 and the efficient competence of the pharmacy staff at Rite Aid on B Street in Lake Oswego. I have five people in my family. We all get medicines and spent well over $1,000 at Walgreens last year and in years previous. We are now taking all our business to RiteAid, because of the systematic incompetence at Walgreens Pharmacy Store #9625. read more

First... I don't know what is different about this Walgreens pharmacy vs others... but the people in the pharmacy... they just have this look like the soul is draining from them right before your eyes! They don't have a care in the world, and half of them look scared to be there, like it's ruining their life. This explains why the service is so bad sometimes. Now, that doesn't mean everyone there sucks... on the contrary... I've had people help me all over the store and are SUPER attentive to customers. But there're just one here, one there... they don't care. They have their head buried in their phone so they can escape from that hell they're in day in and day out. The front door doesn't work, isn't fixed after break in. Published hours are just a guide, and no one is trying to meet the committed hours they're open in the Pharmacy. They don't even come BACK until AFTER the lunch break is OVER for 5-10 minutes! And when they're "short staffed", they tell people "sorry, SOL... go thru drive thru or you get no service". This is with older people who can barely stand up! And they already make them stand in line to wait for a 10 min delay in opening. I hear people in line complain "they're transferring prescriptions to other Walgreens because they just can't handle it..." or "it's like this all the time... just this one". I consider this more of a management issue more than anything else. That said... in the pharmacy, and at the front register, there are some of the nicest people working there! The girl in the pharmacy was so rude and seemed to be upset when she had to have the pharmacist re-do my prescription because my insurance didn't cover 3 month only 30 day fills. So she says to me we'll call you when it's ready. So I'm waiting and people keep asking me if I'm in line and I let them no I'm just waiting for my script to be filled and she's seeing this. Finally 20+minutes go by and I ask her is it going to be much longer. She says for what? So I remind her and she says oh yeah it's been ready. I know this Walgreens has not always had a good review so I want to say I was in the pharmacy on 9/1/22 and both people in the pharmacy were extremely helpful. The pharmacist on duty was instrumental in getting my daughter some much needed migraine medicine and the gentleman that checked me out was very pleasant. I went on to another section looking for an OTC medicine and a Walgreens person stopped to help me--she could have just let me look because I did not ask her for help--but she took the time and asked me what she could help with and was extremely helpful locating what I needed to buy. I went to the pharmacy at 10am for pain meds after having surgery this morning. They said they were busy and couldn't full it until 2pm! It is almost 4 and I am still waiting and all this time in pain. I called and after a long hold I was very rudely that they would work on it and hope to have it done in another 30 minutes. I had a prescription filled at another pharmacy which they changed manufacturers. This new generic made me have a bad reaction. I researched who the original manufacturer was, and found out that Walgreens subscribes to this manufacturer. I thought I would give them a try, knowing there have been so many unfavorable reviews. This was a terrible experience for me as I have never had to jump through so many hoops just to get my 1 prescription filled. I had to call my doctor to rewrite the prescription to the pharmacy's standards and call my insurance to make sure they would re-approve it and then had to make 3 trips over a span of a week just to get it filled. If you have a choice to get your medicine, this is not the place I would choose. Unfortunately I don't have much of a choice as only a few pharmacies subscribe to this manufacturer. read more

Terrible service by the pharmacy. Long-time customer who has filled prescriptions there regularly. Showed up 10 minutes before closing and prescription was not ready due to a billing issue. Tried to remedy issue and offered to come inside as customer was behind me in drive thru and wanted to be polite. Tech said "I close in two minutes. You picked wrong time to deal with this." I proceeded to tell him I was here well before closing and was trying to be polite to help the other customer. I then asked to speak to Pharmacist. He said "You have 30 seconds until I close."
