They need sensitivity training specialized to their field, on top of BASIC customer service training. Submit a complaint through Walgreens? Don't bother. The pharmacy at this location is a joke the employees are rude, lazy and completely inept. 28 hours after my prescriptions were mistakenly called in to this pharmacy (which I would never intentionally have prescriptions sent here) they STILL were not processed. The day after they were called in, I called the pharmacy and was told 30 minutes. They were still not ready THE NEXT DAY. Nothing stating they were on backorder, or behind schedule, no yext or phone message, just not filled. I called my doctor and had the prescriptions sent to a second, better Walgreens. I called that Walgreens to make sure the transfer went over properly and the woman who helped me was knowledgeable, very helpful and NICE. Two hours later, I have my prescriptions. I honestly prefer Walgreens over other local pharmacies. I got a prescription sent this morning and I called for a rush. The RX was going to be ready in a couple of hours. I can wait that. I came to pick it up and they were having some issues with their registers. It was taking forever and crashing. That's not their fault.. that's technology, it happens. Some customers were complaining .. oh Lord, what can they do!!! Just be patient! I wish I could have ask the cashiers lady for her name and the doctor. They were so sorry. BUT IT WASNT THEIR FAULT!! She tried so hard and so many times. She kept pressing, starting again. As soon as she got through, she will call next customer. I'm sure it was stressing for them. I got discharged from an ER with a print prescription. This place is truly the worst. I have lived in the area for many years and this place has only gotten worse over time. Never enough staff and the pharmacy has never not had a line over the last 5 or so years. I think the people who work here don't want to be here as much as all the patrons that get stuck waiting in the endless lines. The pharmacy pick up texts don't even work either. Will tell you everything is ready and then you're stuck waiting 40 minutes in line only to wait another 30 for them to really fill the prescription. Pharmacy is garbage. We moved to this one maybe six months back, and twice a month we get the joy of waiting in line for 20-30 minutes just to get told by an employee that we don't have any scrips available. We then explain that yes we do (and you texted us about it, and we said yes to filling it), and they suddenly find it. We then get told it can't be filled because it hasn't been a month, to which we review basic algebra with them to confirm that 35 days is more bigger than 30 days. Then it's suddenly an insurance issue, and it'll be ready in 1.5 hours. 2 hours later, we start the process all over. Some of the staff are friendly. The usual excuse is "huh... I don't know why it's doing that..." Most of the staff, however are rude. Can't even blame that on them. No one is happy coming here, every other customer is ranting about something being wrong. Go find some place local that isn't an absolute mess. read more

This place will rip you off and take your money the manager had no sympath and took money I left the prescription that I didnt need and walked out. Walgreens pharmacy in Southern Highlands is the worst you called there they put you on hold for eternity. You check their app and it doesn't have the correct information on your prescriptions are ready. It says they're not ready so you spend hours trying to call your doctor or them calling the pharmacist and the pharmacist never answers or response. They don't have enough help. Asked for my DOB gave it to her and told her my name asked for what prescriptions I was waiting for told me that it has to be resubmitted because it was kicking back from the insurance I told her was the information updated on your end with the new coverage placed me on hold came back on the phone and told me the system just went down and asked if I'd like to hold or call back? ZERO STARS if it was possible for their pharmacy. This is the LOWEST RATED Walgreens for a REASON. They don't know what the hell they are doing. I had a prescription sent at 11:20am for ANTIBIOTIC/STEROID EYE DROPS! I called at 3:55 pm and they said it would be ready in 30 minutes. I drive there at 8:30pm, wait in their drive thru only to be told it would be another 30-45 minutes! This is a COMMON reoccurrence with this location. No sense of urgency by the employees, not a care in the world to get your prescriptions filled as soon as possible. Prepare to wait 3-5 business days for your prescription at this location. I've been coming here for YEARS, out of convenience but it's about time I find another location. Whoever is managing this pharmacy needs to get their shit together. I don't know why they have an app because every time you check it it says your prescription is in progress if you call to check your status, it says in progress then you call and you have to stay on the phone for at least 25 to 30 minutes to speak to a very rude person when I asked a person why is my prescription taking so long and it's not showing that is ready she said because still needs to be back so he can show that it's ready that is the stupidest answer she couldn't have given me and it's like this every time. I'd do zero as well if possible. I was transferring a medication to this Walgreens as it's 5 minutes from my house and I usually drove 20 minutes to my old pharmacy. Completely regret the transfer as it seems to have gotten lost by this location. I've called over 10 times and no one seems to know anything, provide help, or have prior communication from other workers here. They keep telling me to call back but don't answer or leave me on long holds for the same "i don't know" answer every-time. This was a 3 week long process and I'm now a week late on my meds. I've since gotten my prescription taken back to my old location and got it resolved in 5 minutes. I'd rather drive 20 minutes than come back here. I am a nice person. I don't leave bad reviews EVER. I trust Walgreens as a brand so I sent my post-op meds there. It's been 24 hours. I was respectful with the pharmacy worker for the duration of our 30 second chat while she was short rude and unprofessional. I know what it's like to be rushed at work but she did not sound rushed or stressed, it was more fed-up and dry. I looked up their hours and saw their yelp reviews. I would STRONGLY recommend a corporate investigation to this Walgreens that results in adding more pharmacy team members with more empathy to balance out the team. I don't want her fired or anything but that was damaging to the Walgreens brand and I'm risking infection waiting for my prescription, I can only imagine what others are going through. I understand there is a hierarchy and a system in place but I feel like I've been pushed to the bottom even as new customers come in almost like a punishment for calling and asking when i could expect it. I'd recommend if you're a Walgreens loyalist, choosing a different location, and if this is close to your home, there is a faster pharmacy in the smiths my family goes to. I so very rarely ever post reviews. If I could give no stars I would. The wait time for this place I swear a person could drop dead before they get their medication. I've been waiting hours for my prescription to be filled, I'm super sick and need my antibiotics the doctor called in hours ago. I finally called. They couldn't even give me a guess as to when it MIGHT be ready. Nope. My prescriptions always sit there for hours before I can go pick one up and sometimes I'm really sick and need it, like right now. I try to be compassionate and realize maybe how much is going on down there but really this is for years and years, and I just read all the reviews that are on here and it pretty much says it all. If these things are franchised, I sure hope the owner is looking at this. You need to do a complete sweep. Now mind you I'm only talking about the pharmacy. When I go in just to shop, the people at the register are always really nice and the people are helpful. But the pharmacy is pathetic service, so why do I keep going here? Because it's near my house and when I'm sick, I need my medication. But I think after this, I'm going to switch over to the kinder Shores of Beirut. So what could improve?
