Had to get test strip for glucose testing and they didn't have any on the shelf like they usually do. I grabbed a card to have them scan the item and because the pharmacy was closed they couldn't get the product for me. Why do they not have access to their own pharmacy? It's not like I'm picking up a prescription after hours. I'm disappointed in their service and telling me I could drive to a 24 hour location that's about 20-30 min away. I hate that this is my neighborhood Walgreens. The pharmacy has poor service, poor attitudes and so slow. 2+ hours to fill a prescription, typically any other place as 1 hour turn around. They have no sense of urgency. And the young lady at the window- let's just say she shouldn't be in customer service. read more

Recently I needed a change on a prescription that I have been taking. I have used other pharmacy around the area, like frys and CVS but since walgreens in different areas (35th ave) was fast and would call my phone for updates- we went through and made this our primary pharmacy. That was a huge mistake. I obviously didn't do my research because as I am making this review iam still on hold for almost 20 minutes now. The pharmacy techs are clueless here. My Gf works for humana as a pharmacy tech. The freaking pharmacy tech here are rude. They'll never give you a courtesy call or update you for any changes that you might need for your prescription instead they'll just have you hang dry. I got a new prescription that I have to take, or start today and guess what? I couldn't start because the pharmacist/ ph tech didn't notified my doctor right away that there's a mistake on the prescription. I went 5 hours later and was told that it's not ready until tomorrow. What a joke. Simply a joke. What a joke. I heard that walgreens got a big hit losing theranos, I even know people getting shorter hours on their facility in river parkway here in AZ. It shows why people are living walgreens. They simply don't have the culture or embodiment of "patient first". Instead they are more concern of their numbers. I know someone who works at the photo department. And the sales department. They are nice. But those hard working people are tainted from the experience that the pharmacy has given us. What a joke. Ok. In all fairness, pharmacy's have allot of variables to deal with, e.g., different insurance plans, sick patients, elderly, etc., so I get that. However, when one pharmacy stands out with poor customer service nearly every visit in comparison to other Walgreens, something needs to be said. The wait times are long, even with 5 or 6 people running around in the pharmacy, they still can't seem to get it right. Last night i called to speak with the pharmacy, i got the front/customer service. They tried to transfer me to the pharmacy, no one picked up after several attempts. I complained to the manager of long hold times, she said they get complaints all tge time and offered to take my contact info to the pharmacy perainally. I called back, got thru, spoke to a rep and was on hold for over 30 minutes. I drove to the Drive thru, still on hold, and showed the girl i spoke with that i was still on hold, and she looked up at the phone right and front of her and was embarrased. Although the Pharmacist on staff, Marcus, apologized and gave me my medication at no cost ($6), it doesn't make up for the long waits in line, and no one seems to know what the hell they're doing. The elderly woman working the cash register today was VERY RUDE and disrespectful. This is not my first rude encounter by her, but today took the cake. I wanted to check a price on some vitamins that rung up differently than the shelf price. I asked her to void out my order so that I didn't hold anyone else up in line. Her response, "Thank you very much for telling me what I can do". There was absolutely no need to speak to me as a customer in that manner. She called a manager and left the register because I addressed her disrespect. The only thing the Manager said was that she works here 3x out of the week and when you see her just avoid her. What??? What about addressing your workers on how to talk a d treat your customers! I don't disrespect my elders and I pray to God that you talk to this old Woman about her behavior. If she is having a bad day, send her home. But, this will be the very last time she gets away with being slick with her mouth with me. I hope that corporate will see this review and address it appropriately so this HORRIBLE experience doesn't happen again. I can easily spend my hard earned money somewhere else where I will be appreciated and treated with respect. read more

It's a Walgreen's, same as any other in town.... but this one boasts a certain special quality in its staff. Here were my last three experiences checking out: Visit #1: Clerk: "How are you?" Me: "Good" Clerk: "How have you been?" Me: "Good" Clerk: "I mean, what have you been up to?" Me: "Same old, same old.... thanks, bye" (rushed out of store, wondering why this guy thought I seemed so familiar) Seems trivial as a manuscript, but it was rather awkward. Visit #2: A different clerk explains that "This is Walgreen's, not Wal-Mart," when I inquired about something out of stock. He then went on to tell me about his friend at Wal-Mart who went to jail for stealing stereos and putting them in marked produce boxes for his friends to pick up. Not sure why I deserved such an interesting story.... Visit #3: Same clerk as visit #1 says, "You're Irish, I'm assuming?" I said, "Yeah, I guess," not really sure where this was headed..... "I could tell by your hat." (Green baseball cap from my profile pic; forgot I was wearing it). "Ah, good eye," I said. And then he went on to tell me about his friend who was definitely not Irish. How did he know? Simple, his friend is a recovering alcoholic, and if he were Irish, he couldn't be recovering. Yes, I shall dub this Walgreen's as the TMI drugstore. I cannot wait to see what the next visit brings. read more

I would not recommend this location for your vaccine. The pharmacy is extremely disorganized. I set an appointment up for 11:45. Its been 47 min now that I've been waiting. No one touched base with me to let me know it would be a while. I had to go up to the desk to ask how long it would be. The tech said the pharmacist was getting the shots ready now.... Why just now after 47 min of waiting? I don't understand the purpose of having a scheduling portal and not following through with the schedule. read more

I had the WORST customer experience ever here!! Please, if you can drive to a Walgreens somewhere else. I sat in the drive through line for 30 minutes waiting for some help. I called the store four times before finally speaking to the pharmacist who told me they closed the drive through early and to just come in side. Well I informed him I can't because I have to sick and sleeping kids in the car, hence when I came through the drive through. He then proceeded to hang up on me!! So I proceeded to wake my kids up (who weren't dressed to get out of the car) to go inside to pick up their meds. I then asked if they put signs up on the window to let people know they closed early because at this point there was two long lines outside. I was told NO because they don't have any signs. Weird because there's signs out there that are typed out already? When I told him there were long lines outside he then told me in a sarcastic way that there are long lines inside. Yes I get that, but there wouldn't be lines outside if there was a sign!! This definitely could have been handled better. read more

This pharmacy is a joke. I went in on 12/23 to pick up an RX that was ready, and update my insurance. It was updated but when they tried submitting it it kept giving them an error. They said they would call the insurance 12/24 when they opened and get it straightened out. Around 11 am on 12/24 I contacted them and they said they hadn't gotten in contact with the insurance yet. A little later I received a call from them but no message left. Next thing I get an auto call that the RX is ready, so I go thinking everything is well. I go and they say they still have not gotten in contact with the insurance yet as they were closed. When asking why they couldn't give a straight answer. I had to give 18$ for 2 pills to get me through til after the holiday. I called my insurance then and I was able to reach someone who said everything was fine, the store transmitting the info was causing the error as everything was fine in their end and they created an override in the system so the RX could be gotten. So not only did they did they lie about contacting the insurance, they just wanted to charge 18$ for 2 pills when a 30 day RX was only 30$ with my insurance. I go back and the people were not very helpful again and didn't want to do anything. The pharmacist was the one to fix everything but she also was not very nice. This place SUCKS on customer service !!!!! read more

Very bad pharmacy service, not one time but several times. The worst They have lost prescriptions. Failed to fill them properly, even shorted the pill count. Prescriptions filed away somewhere and not processed until the third call to them. Pitiful service, give you an attitude as if they did not screw up to begin with. read more

What a horrible and rude place this is, and the staff handling the photo center from 6pm-7:24pm today, Tuesday August 11th, 2020. I submitted my photos through my phone for 4x6 and they came out horrible quality like the ink just warped bottom half of picture and half of them were bent from one end. I'm a photographer and normally get my pictures done here and I've never had such rude people treat me like a hobo off the street. They didn't want to give me my money back or store credit. What a waste of time and I needed these pictures for my Dad's memorial/funeral as he recently passed away. I am appalled at their so called high quality and their poor attention to detail. I spent $17 dollars on poorly done photos and I am a good customer always trying to put my money back in my small city of Laveen. I am very shocked on how the customer service lady handled my order and my dissatisfaction. Dropped off some film to get developed and went back a week later to pick them up. I paid $20 and walked out with an empty envelope. So I go back the next day and the lady tells me I wasn't supposed to pay for them yet because they were still waiting to get shipped out. She said they'd be sent out on Monday and back in about a week. Fast forward a month later I go see if they're ready (never got a call) and the film had never been shipped out. Worst pharmacy ever. I can never get my prescriptions or refills in a timely fashion. I put in a prescription on Monday and I logged in online to check the status and it said pending. I chatted with an online rep and they told me that it wouldn't be ready until Thursday! Ridiculous. I called the Tempe location and asked if they had the medicine in stock, and if I could transfer my request over to their location. The pharmacist transferred my prescription and then said that it would be ready within the hour. When people are sick they need access to their medication right away; they shouldn't have to wait days. They really need to get their act together. read more

I've been waiting at drive thru for over 45min and the van in front of me probably been waiting much longer. I'm in no condition to get out of vehicle that's why I go thru the drive thru. I don't want to come back because I need to start on medication asap due to surgery in less than 2 weeks away and I have to redo labs. I don't understand why they are taking so long and since I've been waiting I have time to write this review. I gave them one star cuz its close to my house and very convenient but the service here in Pharmacy is so so slow. The poor people in front of me hasn't been helped yet and I am behind them. This is the worst Walgreens location I have ever had to use. The staff is slow to respond to questions or needs. The volume in this store is very high and I have had multiple difficulties getting scripts filled correctly. No one will assume responsibility for their own mistakes. It is less than 1 mile from my new home and I am transferring everything to a different pharmacy. This company has really struggled the past few years, I'm sad to say it is affecting my choices as a consumer now. read more

Pharmacist, Linda Livuania- wouldn't give me a clear spelling of her last name for obvious reasons, called me to pretty much interrogate me. She was unnecessarily rude, condescending, and tried to put words in my mouth. I felt completely disrespected by this pharmacist all because she was "having a bad day". If this is a person that Walgreens trusts to handle patient care they clearly do not have any standards. I advise anyone considering this pharmacy to go elsewhere. read more

This Walgreens has the worst service. I have had to wait 45 minutes just to speak to a pharmacist. My prescriptions are never ready at the time they say it's going to be, even in dire situations. I have heard every darn excuse, from we have one pharmacist to it's just me and the pharmacist. It's insane, why not tell me that before you take my prescription and have me thinking it'll be ready in an hour, when infact, it won't be ready until the following morning. I'll be driving out of the way from now on, simply because this Walgreens Pharmacy has the worst service. read more

This pharmacy is useless, first, they are on an automated call center, if you leave a message, they NEVER CALL BACK. If you hold to actually talk to someone, which is a total waste of time as they rarely answer, it's another USELESS call center who tells you to go in to talk to the pharmacist. You can NEVER TALK TO THE PHARMACIST ON THE PHONE. Every rx we've requested has had to be ordered, and it never comes in or they loose the order. When you need meds it's usually for that day or the next. They never get them in time. These people are just stupid and loosing business. I've had to call other Walgreens and search which ones have the medication and drive way out of area sometimes. Their excuse is, they just don't store it in the warehouse. WTH! why isn't enough medicine stored in their warehouse to be filled. I just don't understand that. I never had that problem in Illinois, since moving here, its every month. This particular pharmacy needs an overhaul, until then, don't go there. Walgreens, you need to listen to your customers or hire competent people to actually answer the phone and deal directly with your clientele. Our time is valuable too, its not like you don't make enough money in overcharging us. read more

Walgreens at 51st AV and Baseline Rd has the WORST pharmacy service I have ever dealt with. I made three different calls regarding a prescription and sat on hold for 30 minutes on one listening to a recording and the other two calls I sat on hold for 15mins. I called back and ask for the corporate office number then called them. Guess what, when I choose the pharmacy option I received, nothing but announcements of free deals for the day---that was it. Therefore, I am taking my prescriptions to Safeway. Walgreens service is so bad it does not even deserve a one-star rating! The sad part is, no one at Walgreens seems to give a damn! read more
