I'm so sad I had a horrible experience at the salon a couple of days ago as all of my family have been to the salon and have been happy with their hair stylists.... there two parts to this review. 1. When I first arrived for my 2pm signature haircut, I am approached by a lady and she literally looked me up and down and asked what I needed, which made me really uncomfortable. I told her my appointment time and she grabbed the hair dresser who was supposed to do my cut. There was a scheduling error with the computer and he was already with a client so I rescheduled for 6:15pm, no problem. 2. I show up at 6:15pm and what do you know, the lady who looked me up and down was going to do my hair. I haven't had my hair cut in almost 2 years, it was very long and I asked her to try and keep the length, plus I had inspo pics from google to show her. She barely glanced at the photos I was showing her and kept asking me how I wanted it cut, how short, and I would try to direct her but she was really abrupt and just started chopping. Also, I never got a deep condition or styling which I'm pretty sure is included in the $75 haircut. Anyway, I got some layers and and blowout, my family likes it but it's not anything that I wanted. Time to grow out my hair again... Oh yeah and if you still wear a mask, both her (I believe her name was Lorraine) and the man who helped me the first encounter (Spiro) will be making remarks about how stupid people are that wear them and how it's all a hoax. I currently have two people in my household with covid so I'm actually wearing the mask for both of our sake. I really hope something is said to them as the whole experience made me want to run out of there as fast as possible. They have really remodeled this store! It's been a couple of years since I've been in. It's nice in that I think they've improved and increased their selection , but the aisles are narrow and I think it's too much for the space. I get overwhelmed very easily in stores like this and tend to leave. Only 4 stars because I went in to get my birthday freebie and they haven't received them yet. Oops! Don't recommend to go here for hair tinsel the lady that was doing my hair didn't even know what she was doing she spent 15 minutes trying to get one tinsel in my hair and on the Ulta website it says 15 minutes for 15$ but she took like 15-20 mins trying to put one tinsel in my hair on top of that she did not put the tinsel in my hair right she was only gonna put three strands of hair tinsel on the 2 sides of my head I had to tell her to put them in the back and she still had the audacity to say "it's going to be another 15$" but she took so long just to put the first ones on they said she was certified but that didn't not seem certified at all to me. Beauty may be only skin deep, but thank goodness for Ulta for making us shine a little brighter! This Ulta is on the smaller side, but they had the Bare Mineral brushes I came in for! And of course, those end caps as you're checking out tempt you with minis and travel sized items! I admit it, I loaded up on Kylie purse-sized lipsticks, hair products, and creams! I have the Ulta reward card so you get points for your purchases. The beauty rep was helpful and pleasant and I went at a great time because I breezed through the line! Horrible place to get your hair done. The stylist I had was Rachel. I don't recommend her at all. She messed up my hair horribly. I went in for a full highlights and root touch up. Which should have only taken like 4 hours. I was there for 6 hours. Because she was trying to fix her mess up. She screwed it up so bad that I had to go back to see if it could be fixed. She promised she would be able to fix it. So I gave her another chance. Boy was that a mistake. She even admitted she messed up both time. I left with highlights that look like a child did it. I was going to wait a month and try a different stylist named Stephanie. They just send me a text saying my appointment was canceled. Which is messed up. I Because I didn't cancel it. So I'm assuming Stephanie canceled it. I did get a partial refund for Rachel messing up my hair. I should have gotten a full refund as I am having to pay a different hair stylist at a professional salon to fix her horrible mess up. When I went in to get my refund the manager knew I was there and made me wait over 10 minutes for her to come and see me about my refund. The store was empty and she was coming at the time. Not the place to get your brows done at benefit. Had an appointment today and she was behind schedule. I have never experienced this at any other store before. Never was I acknowledged for my appointment being at 11 or told she was running behind. I brought this to the manager attention who told me sometimes they run behind. I understand 5min behind But it had been 15min past my appointment time. I was texted 10times by ulta about my 11am appointment at the very least let me know. Needless to say i wont be back. Cyndi, who is their skincare & Clinique specialist took the time to recommend a new skincare regime for me & explain all the details! There was another customer in the same aisle & she helped her afterwards too as well. I've seen estheticians in the past & have paid them a lot of money for treatments. The manger Kelsey was very rude when I tried to file a complain about feeling harassed and discriminated by her and her employees. Me and my sisters were just shopping and they followed us like hawks over me simply fixing the top of a box that was damaged, she rudely said out loud " not to open the merchandise and if I do don't damage it" I was simply fixing it and after that she had her employees follow us and kept tabs on us ?? 1 star is too many stars. I went into this ulta to visit their benefit brow bar and get my brows done. The tech, Jessica R., did not know what she was doing. Service wise was similar to a nail salon, but not doing well is 1 thing. She was negligent in the service though, resulting in physical injury, extreme bruising, and swelling... on top of mismatched brows. The service was comped by a manager who tried to gaslight me about the swelling, telling me "it isn't that bad". Well, now that swelling has subsided and we can see the actual damage, is that bad enough for you now? I did not pay for the service with money, but let's see how my wounds heal. Update 2: after contacting customer service a second time the store manager did call me back and offered a full refund. She was very kind and understanding and I appreciated that. I took my daughter in for a trim and she came out with 3 inches off her hair and bangs that she didn't ask for. When she told Lorraine she wanted long layered bangs, Lorraine said "I'm going to make them shorter" then snipped. She only spent 25 minutes on her hair when I paid $77 for a "signature cut" which should have included a deep conditioning treatment and a full cut and style. When she was done so quickly I asked Lorraine if she did the treatment and she said "yes" but my daughter confirmed she did not. She also left with her hair still partially wet and not styled. She was sobbing it looked so bad and so much was taken off. I called to speak to the manager and the woman I spoke to took down my number but the manager never called back. Completely unprofessional all the way around. Update- customer service asked me to contact them below, which I did, and was told the store team would contact me within 1-2 business days. Day 4- no call. As I mentioned to their customer service, it doesn't surprise me since they didn't call when taking my info the day of the appointment either. read more

Wow, our experiences in this store have always been good, even picking up a last minute Urban Decay Naked pallete on Christmas Eve. Recently, we were searching for specific shampoo and conditioner for my Mom which would make her gray hair sparkle (we chose Joico) and an eyebrow pencil for her, and the staff was super helpful. I come to have my Angel perfume refilled, it is a little less expensive, greener, and convenient. Love that they always have sales, coupons, and promos going on, love it even more when Scott says "we have to go to Ulta, they are having BOGOS!" I hadn't gotten my hair done in 2 years because of the pandemic (and my laziness lol), but I finally decided to give Ulta's Salon a try. I had also never gotten my hair dyed so I was extremely hesitant to before my appointment. I asked for a magenta/purple balayage and a haircut and Callie was INCREDIBLE! She answered all my questions and made sure everything from my cut to the color were exactly what I wanted. I showed her pictures of what I was looking for and the final product turned out even better than I imagined! My appointment also included a deep conditioning treatment which has left my hair super healthy even after being lightened and colored. The cost was 100% worth it and I cannot recommend Callie enough! read more

This is my preferred location. I've gotten a great hair cut here in the past. The other day, I stopped in for one favorite product. Couldn't locate it, but the staff was super sweet in directing me right to the stock. I was also buying some birthday gifts. The register didn't ring up the way the sign advertised, but no worries!
