Why is it that it's ok for this pharmacy location to not answer phone and you can be on hold for hours and no response, drive through service is horrible, in store service is long wait and terrible too. The pharmacist on site doesn't seem to care about the level of care nor timely service he provides. Someone really needs to evaluate the level of service quality being provided at this pharmacy location. Pharmacist apparently was on his break. Don't try calling this Walgreens Pharmacy anywhere close to quitting time! I called from 5:30 to 6:00, trying to get through to the pharmacy, after the awful hold music, someone would pick up but not say anything...even though I said "hello" several times they would just hang up. I could HEAR people talking! I called back 3 times and 3 times got hung up on. My 4th call was to the store manager. That's not the way to keep your business going. read more

I purchased 2 COVID tests yesterday. When I got home, my husband noticed that there was a sticker covering the original expiration date, and the sticker extended the date for the out of date test. My receipt printed out that the return value was $23.99 for each box. However, Walgreens wouldn't let me return the COVID tests. No sign was on the display or shelf indicating that COVID tests are a non returnable item. Do not shop at Walgreens!! The quality and even print out from receipts cannot be trusted. For something as valuable as a COVID test, Walgreens should be sure that the customer is confident in it. I had a simple question about the quantity of medication that was refilled. The response I got first was very sarcastic, blatantly rude and condescending. I did nothing to provoke that kind of response. "If you take x amount twice a day then that would equal 120 then, wouldn't it?" Then she tells me the insurance only approved the one month supply instead of 3 months. I've been working 50 hours a week in a 100+ degree heat wave,on radiation therapy, with cancer, then have to put up with attitude and eye rolling to get a prescription. We reserved appointments for Covid and flu shots at this location this week. Although the personnel were kind and accommodating, the store was filthy. There was debris all around the entrance. The floors were littered, and everywhere around the pharmacy could not have been cleaned in recent weeks. The counter and computers were covered with dust and trash. The floor of the room where the shots were given was littered, and the chairs were literally disintegrating. I will not schedule vaccines at this location again! Had we not already had appointments in a time crunch, I would have walked away. Walgreens you can do better! read more

The pharmacy employees were extremely rude and disrespectful. First, they asked me if my doctor had moved because they said that his office was now listed in another state so they couldn't fill my prescription. Then, they talked amongst themselves for a few minutes and, without giving me any new information or explanation, they said it would be ready in 20 minutes. So, why were they unable to fill it one moment but then magically able to make it happen a couple minutes later? I submitted the prescription many days ago. I usually receive an email and phone call to tell me the prescription is ready or to tell me there is a problem. I never got any notification that there was any problem. This was my last straw with this place because they have been increasingly awful for the last couple years now. I had been coming here for 4 or 5 years but, after this bad experience, and the unexplained magic today, I decided this was the last time I wanted to have to come here. I had just spoken with the store manager and pharmacy manager a few weeks ago and told them about how awful they've been and how they once all collectively laughed at me from behind the counter because they messed up entering my insurance info so I couldn't get my prescription filled. Today, they again laughed at me. Two of the pharmacy employees were arguing with each other about how to transfer my profile to a new pharmacy when one of them got pissed at me for not immediately answering her question to me even though she interrupted and I was actually already talking to the other one. I told them this was why I was going to another pharmacy, because they're always rude and they can't even agree with each other. As I walked away, they all started laughing and saying, extremely rudely and condescendingly, "Thank you," "Have a good day," and "Bye!" Just like last time, they were intentionally being as rude as possible and as disgustingly insensitive and inappropriate as they could. Of course, I yelled and cussed at them because they were doing it again, despite my having JUST talked to the store manager and pharmacy manager about this kind of behavior. I went to the front and talked to Remy about my experience. As usual, he was absolutely fantastic. He is the best employee they have and is always extremely kind, capable, and courteous. He tried to see if he could figure anything out about transferring my pharmacy profile but I told him that I would just start over at a new pharmacy. I just wanted to make sure that a manager was aware of what continues to go on at the pharmacy. To be clear, the regular employees are great and Remy and the others are the only reason I didn't just stop coming here sooner, but that pharmacy is the WORST in town and the worst in all the towns I've lived in in 4 different states. I am disgusted by how they have treated me now on multiple occasions. They're not just bad at their jobs, they're awful humans. read more

DO NOT use this Walgreens for COVID Testing. It takes over 4 days to get results back. If they are too incompetent to provide the service in a timely manner they should warn you to go elsewhere. This is the only pharmacy in town that can order the medicine I need every day. Texas will only let me have 30 days at a time time, so I visit this place a lot. They get their shipments on Tuesday and Thursday. If you want your prescription on Thursday the order has to be in by 10am Tuesday. read more

I've been using this pharmacy for years. I appreciate that they're open 24 hours because I work crazy hours with 2 jobs and have chronic health conditions. So being able to get medications at 2am if needed is great. The staff, especially the pharmacy staff, are always helpful and nice. I go there so often (again, chronic conditions), that they know who I am and I don't run into too many snags. read more

Called in a refil for Rx for an acute condition. The insurance didn't want to pay for the meds and Walgreens didn't think I needed to know about that, thanks to them my condition is now worse and will End up costing me and my insurance company thousands of more dollars. Thanks guys! read more

This has been sent to Corporate with no response thus far. PLEASE, BEWARE OF THIS PHARMACY! They are changing dosages without consent and not providing the proper patient education after doing so! THIS COULD KILL SOMEONE AND IS ILLEGAL. ------------------------------------- On December 21, 2016 at approximately 11:20pm, we dropped off a prescription for 5mg/5ml Baclofen to your 24 hour pharmacy in Lubbock off of 50th and Slide for our 2 year old quadriplegic son who also has severe cerebral palsy. He is very sensitive to medication changes and has several digestional problems as well. Once the medication was ready, we eagerly gave Levi his medicine according to what the doctor had prescribed on the prescription - 5mg in 5ml - which was the dosage he has been consuming for over a year. We saw a sudden change in his demeanor, much more pronounced than usual, and upon checking the bottle your pharmacy gave us, the pharmacist had arbitrarily changed the dosage from the prescribed 5mg/5ml to 5mg/1ml without notifying or even reviewing the change with us - verbally or otherwise - when we picked up the prescription, meaning that we had just quadrupled the dose of the muscle relaxer for a TWO YEAR OLD, 30 POUND TODDLER. Absolutely NO written instructions were included, either. My husband went inside to inquire about the change and the pharmacist proceeded to tell him that he had spoken with the physician and the change was "okayed", and that Levi, our son, would be "just fine" with a quadrupled dose of a muscle relaxer and "didn't need additional medical attention". I work in the medical field and know this to be false... he could stop breathing in his sleep or slip into a coma, especially in his more fragile state! I then called the physician who had seen Levi and who wrote the prescription to confirm the supposed change, and he let us know that no such phone call had been placed by the pharmacy to the ER. I called your pharmacy back and spoke with "Noresh" via telephone and asked him again if he had called the doctor and asked to change the dose and he finally told the truth and said "no, we did not". He also tried to tell us that it is "not possible" to make a 5mg/5ml dosage, which must mean that particular pharmacy is the ONLY one in the nation who can't figure out how to create a 5mg/5ml suspension since that is exactly how Levi has been dosed for - again - over a year from several Walgreens locations. Being a concerned parent, we returned to the ER where they called poison control who strongly recommended be watched at the local Children's hospital over night to ensure he didn't stop breathing or slip into a coma. In conclusion, your pharmacist blatantly lied to us multiple times, changed a dosage without consent from the physician, and did not notify us of the change. I truly hope you take this opportunity to reprimand and re-educate your pharmaceutical staff so that another innocent person or child does not fall victim to this kind of mistake again and potentially lose their life from this sort of egregious oversight. ----------------------------------------- read more

Horrible management. Felt discriminated against. They had the ability to return my items for store credit but didn't based on"discretion".

I called and went through the automated call system because it was all i was allowed to do. I did as instructed, listened to all the wonderful things Walgreens could do and sell and it disconnected me twice. Also when I've gone up there in the past, it would take quite a while because the help seemed lost and didn't not really understand how to work the register. I took my Mother up there one time and even she lost her patience and said she would never return. I will not listen to that again. I am transferring my meds. To post this I have to sign up. This is the best overall Walgreens store in Lubbock, Texas. I just found out today it is set to close November 14, 2019 and I think that is horrible. This store has an excellent staff, store always clean, aisles are wide and clutter free. Customers do not have to stand in long lines and then be treated rudely when they get to the checkout counter. Most of the employees are not going to have jobs. Walgreens is not taking care of their own people. If you want to close one, it should be the one located at 82nd and University, Lubbock. The employees are rude (especially the pharmacy staff), the wait time is always long. The store has cluttered aisle and everything jammed in shelves and stuff sitting in the floor you can't get around. Parking lot difficult to get in and out, potholes, and trash outside. I am sure my comments will not change a thing, but I wanted to let the staff at Slide know they are appreciated and do a good job. read more
