I won't be returning to any Walgreens in town. The pharmacy is the worst. The employees working in the pharmacy are terrible and rude. How do you put someone on hold over and over again and not even offer them a "hello, there are 3 people in front of you. Would you like to hold?" NOTHING. Not one word!! They just put you on hold OVER AND OVER UNTIL THEY HANG UP ON YOU!!! The absolute WORST service. It will take them days to prepare your prescriptions. On top of this, THEY ARE ALWAYS OUT OF YOUR MEDICATION. Shame on you!!! The medications you're supplying people allow them to survive and they're the only reason that you have a job! The least helpful and seemingly low competency pharmacists and staff!! Jennifer the pharmacist is especially bad. Rude, condescending, and finding every excuse why she shouldn't need to help me and trying to send me to the Walgreens on the other side of town. I have a 3 year old autistic son, non verbal, with an extreme case of whooping cough. We have had multiple ER visits through this ordeal. And the only thing that allows for peaceful sleep is his breathing treatments. If we run out of his treatments and have a gap for a day without them, he wakes up every 30-45 minutes through the night with violent episodes of coughing fits that stop him from breathing for what feels like forever. He is panicking during this whole time, scared and unable to understand why he can't get a breath started. Eventually he gets a small bit, then more and starts normal breathing. Our nebulizer machine broke last night. The motor just stopped working. I got here at 8:30 and was second I line to check in. By the time they got to me it was 8:50. They then proceeded to tell me that you have to have a prescription to buy the device that pumps the air (you don't). They said they do have one. But without a prescription I could not buy it. We do have a prescription for one. It is sitting there at Kaiser. Kaiser won't fill it bc they don't carry them for sale. Also bc you DONT need a prescription for one. You can buy them on Amazon for crying out loud. Then the pharmacist changed her tune and said, no you don't have to have a prescription for them, but you do to buy the one through us. I explained that I have a prescription sitting in the Kaiser system, and asked if they can call Kaiser to get it transferred, but the eye roll said it all. She did not want to do the extra work. She said "I could call them, but we close in 10 minutes" so you'll have to go to the Walgreens on coffee rd. I told her I was there at 8:30. But it took them 20 minutes to get through 1 person a head of me and 1 car in the drive through. I explained the seriousness of our situation with our autistic child and serious diagnosis. She just shrugged her shoulders and said "we are about to close, what do you want me to do about it?" I told her I want her to do what ever she can to help me advocate for the care of my child. She said, "then you shouldn't have waited till 8:50 and I could have had time to get it done". I about lost it. She finally agreed to call Kaiser and in a rude tone pointed and told me to go sit in the waiting chairs. Then turns around and starts talking snarky about me to the other couple staff members in plain ear and eye sight. After saying she couldn't get through to the Kaiser pharmacy, she told me that I have 3 options, come back tomorrow, go to the Walgreens on coffee (where I will have to start all of this process over again from a drive through window only), or buy one on Amazon. Frustrated and feeling like they could care less, I have no choice but to keep going on to the other Walgreens. These employees need to go through patient care, patient advocacy, and bedside manner classes again. They all seemed to want to be condescending in some way when I disagreed to being told that you have to have a prescription for the nebulizer machine. The arrogance just oozes from them. I will never send our family pharmacy needs through this awful pharmacy department ever again. read more

When I got home I realized that the girl in the pharmacy kept both of my Catalina one being a 4 dollar coupon for buying the hair dyes. Worst pharmacy ever. If I could review 0 stars I would. I waited almost 8 hours for my prescription to "process". When it was ready, I waited in the drive-thru pickup line for over 45 minutes. Then the lady at window told me that the Pharmacist will come talk to me, and it took her another 10 minutes to come talk to me. I also went to this location a few months back after a dentist appointment. After getting teeth removed. They took so hours to process and fill my prescription. And when it was ready I waited in line inside, and it took over 30 minutes that time too. I was in so much pain and just needed my medication. read more

This Walgreens is the worst pharmacy ever. I have chronic pain and have been on opioids for years. it is MY job to call them a few days before my Rx is due t make sure they have the medication. I do this every month. I then have to call the day it's due to get it filled. They have the Rx. There have been many months I call to have it filled, after reminding them, & are told they have to order it. These are for pain! Last months is still out of stock. Yesterday, I called to check on these and was on hold almost 20 minutes. Two different people picked up. The first one was supposedly checking to see if they came in. I was then on hold until I got the message that I needed to call back another time. I would love to transfer to another pharmacy, but I am disabled and my husband likes the option of a drive thru. read more

Called to refill prescriptions and it said ready in 2 days at this time. Went there and only 2 is ready. I asked if how long for the other 2 to be ready for pick up. I was told in 1 hour and 30 minutes. I went back after 2 hours and only 1 ready. So frustrated cuz they give you time to pick up knowing it's ready but still has to go back. The worst pharmacy ever. Prescriptions on autorefill can take 4-5 days to be filled and then are often only partial refills, requiring another trip to pick up the rest of the medication. Staff in the store are rude, unhelpful, and talk over you when you try to explain something or ask questions. Forget trying to call to speak to a pharmacist because you will wait on hold forever. The store itself feels old and unclean. I would not at all be surprised if this is one of the locations Walgreens will be closing--and if it's not on the list, it should be! read more

This Walgreens Pharmacy has caused wasted time and several interruptions with my receiving and medications due to misinformation. It seems like I'm treated as an inconvenience every time I call them. You have to tell them how to do their job or else they won't do it. They throw guesses on when a prescription will be ready only to tell you it's either too early to fill, insurance doesn't cover it, etc. They all need to be replaced or retrained and closely monitored. I've used several pharmacies throughout my life and it's clear they don't want to put the work in to help you out. It's disappointing. read more

Went in for the flue shot. I checked in and they hadn't called my name after 15 min so I went up to the counter and they didn't even check to see if I checked in. Told me it would cost $50 but I needed it done so said ok. Then had to wait another 20 min. I got up again and asked if the vaccine is ready and if not I would like to cancel (I had a lot to do that was time sensitive). Tech was really rude and said I can pay now. Interesting why wasn't it ready before? Anyways it felt off so I said no I'd rather cancel. She was really rude about canceling the appointment too. Worst pharmacy service understaffed always asked to come back they were to busy to refill and long lines

I tried to pick up two controlled medications at 3:30 pm the day before they were technically due to be refilled. I am disabled and live in a retirement home. I had transportation this afternoon but none is available for the rest of the week except possibly tomorrow morning if i can schedule it at this late point in time. I am almost 80 years old and those meds. The pharmacist and staff were entirely uncaring and unsympathetic. The pharmacy itself is a mess with drugs and bags scattered everywhere. Go anyplace else for your pharmacy needs. read more

If you think that Walgreens switches your medication for a less expensive brand, think again. In my situation, the medication my Doctor prescribed cost me $30 out of pocket for three months. The medication Walgreens switched me to cost me $96 for three months. Never assume the medication your Doctor prescribed is the medication you receive. Don't assume the medication Walgreens substitutes is less expensive. I think this is a racket and poor a business practice that should be stopped. If the Pharmacist asked you would you like us to substitute a medication that would cost you double, would you like us to do that? What person in their right mind would say "Yes." So they do this without telling you, or your Doctor. A highly deceptive business practice. Make sure your Doctor sends your script with the "no substitute" box checked.i read more

Absolutely the WORST pharmacy in HISTORY. The pharmacist there are very lazy! They just walk around pretending to be busy. Medication has never ever been ready and on time. Walgreens corporation should assess the pharmacy operations and try to figure out how to scale the operations more efficiently. Something needs to be done and SOMEONE needs to hear this. Enough is enough. People don't have the time or energy to wait or play around with when our medication is ready. I like this Walgreens for two reasons. 1. They always have what I'm looking for and if you can't find it there is always someone to help you. 2. To me #2 is obvious. Its the service. As mentioned if you can't find something there is always someone to ask and they will either tell you exactly where it is or they will show you. 1 star because you can't give 0 stars. Literally the SLOWEST pharmacy I've ever been to. They refuse to fully staff the pharmacy, although it's always busy, and I have waited on the phone for 20 minutes. I have never once called and gotten straight through to the pharmacy. If you know you're always swamped HIRE MORE PEOPLE!! He drive thru wait is no better. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes each time. I pulled up once and the woman who was at the window was staring at her cell phone. I've switched pharmacies since. My medication is something I have to have, not like to have ( it's not pain pills in other words) and I have 3 kids. I don't have time for 20 minute phone waits. Hire more people, Walgreens. Super confused about why they don't have people whose prescriptions arent ready, or require a little bit more time to get together who are in the drive-through line just have them park and send them a text as to when their medication is ready. The whole point of a drive through line is to get in and out as quickly as possible. Sitting in the drive-through line for 20 or more minutes is unacceptable in my opinion. And when you're blocked in in the front and the back and you can't pull away so you have no choice but to stay in line and wait. Frustrating. read more

I've had my prescriptions for so long with this pharmacy I've legit had nothing but issues with this pharmacy. Recently Ive been receiving calls from a like a real person instead of a robot call in regards to my medications being ready so I went to go pick it up it took 20 mins for them to look for it and barley put it in the system. Super Super Super annoying. Then I made it back home ONLY to get 3 more calls. I legit called them to talk to them about it, AND instead i got someone rude and incompetent to help me. Telling me there is no call logs from the time i got calls, Implying that I am furthermore lying because she has the call logs. Horrible Stay Stay far away, i'm transferring to a local CVS or any other thing. Run don't walk to a different pharmacy where they won't bombard you with calls then imply that your lying about your calls. read more

My daughters doctor sent prescriptions directly to Walgreens around 4:40pm. I called the pharmacy at 6:29pm to check the status of RX spoke to the pharmacist and she stated the antibiotic Rx would be ready in 30min. I got to Walgreens at 7:15pm and rx was not ready I had to wait an additional 45min sitting down. I'm not exaggerating on the lengthy wait. Everyone (customers) were upset for the long wait and prescriptions not being ready. The guy helping me stated they were down staff however that's non of my business. My expectations are high to get good customer service. Walgreens need to hire more staff or have a oncall pharmacist/techs. read more

Please double check the information that the pharmacy staff give you as they will have you on a goose chase wasting personal time & stress with such poor customer service. This is the worst pharmacy with the rudest people that I've ever been to. I've had so much trouble with them. They never have my prescriptions ready when I arrive - even after they text me over and over again that it's ready. Whenever they call me I always get a super rude Indian lady. They always get my co-pay incorrect. But the straw that broke the camels back was when this extremely rude pharmacy cashier who always dresses in black, with cornrow braids; a high pitch cartoon voice started to yell at my husband. All he did was hand her a coupon that would wave his co-pay, and she immediately started to yell and raise her voice because he didn't hand it to her fast enough for her liking. Which by the way this woman was walking back and forth talking to other employees, so he handed her the coupon when he could. We noticed her awful attitude as soon as we walked in. She was being rude to other people in line and in the drive-thru; but my husband was still super polite with her, and she still gave an attitude that was unprovoked. He didn't get his prescription that day; he just took his coupon and left, and we both transferred to a new pharmacy. We all have busy days at work; but don't ever yell at customers for petty reasons. read more

I get my prescriptions filled here because it's so close to my house. I like the drive through pharmacy so I don't have to get all my kiddos out of the car to pick up or drop off. The pharmacy staff can sometimes be rude. And sometimes they don't seem to know what they are doing. But I have yet to come across a pharmacy where I get really good customer service. They have messed up on my prescription before. They fixed the error and refunded my copay which was nice of them. As for the rest of the store. Occasionally I find a good deal while I'm browsing around but not usually! I will run in here to buy milk if I am out and it's late at night! read more

Went in there a couple of months ago (I've been avoiding this lady-even though this Walgreens is a lot closer to my home) and I handed her a coupon to use with my purchase. She sighed and rolled her eyes. I asked her if everything was okay and she did not answer me. She went on to using her fingernail on the register monitor and I thought her nail was going to break! She was tapping so hard. My mom asked me in Spanish if everything was okay and Leslie just looked at her and rolled her eyes again. I don't want to make this a racist thing but I stepped back into an asile and noticed she was okay with everyone else but us spanish-speaking folks. Fast forward to today. I asked her for a price check and I decided not to get the item. I was going to put the item back on the shelf but she again rolled her eyes and snatched the item out of my hands. I told her that she's an expert at rolling her eyes and she said Yea, I've had a lot of practice. Then she starts arguing with me in front of her shift leader and other customers. I normally like Walgreen's very much - nice, simple layouts. Staple items, good prices. So three stars for that alone. I just had a minor aggravation with this store. I went here on Saturday and saw a sign for cereal 2 for $4. So I grabbed two. I get to the counter and they ring up normal price. I explain to the cashier whats going on, she calls another worker. This worker proceeds to walk about THIRTY FEET away from where I'm standing, just so she can check the little sign. Then they were going to honor the price until she had to ask the manager how to change the price. Other worker disappears for a few minutes, meandering all around the store. Now, I know I don't work here nor have I ever worked retail but don't they have a little thing called an intercom that they can call people over? Just a thought. Finally, she comes back and said that the manager just put those out and the sale starts tomorrow. Ok, that's all good, but it's 1:30 in the afternoon. Why in the blue hell would a manager - or anyone - put out a sale display 12 hours in advance? Preceding my recent Rite Aid experience, an inordinate time of wasted to come to this conclusion. I recently decided to visit the Walgreens on Dale after driving accross town to the McHenry store for a few years. This store is so much cleaner and the staff is much nicer. It took them five minutes to fill my prescription (which took at least 15 minutes to fill at the other store) and there were no toothless tweakers hanging around! I should have swithced my prescriptions to this location years ago! read more
