People are tripping , all the ladies in this CVS are super nice. I always get greeted. My son has thrown 2 to 3 tantrums and I have never felt like I was being judged or anything. The ladies at the pharmacy are kind as well. Every time I walk in, I never feel like I'm being watched or anything. I have gone to other CVS like the one on Oakdale that's the worst one to ever go to. I do not recommend it at all. I had a prescription showing not available on the app for 2 weeks, I messaged the pharmacy with the app and Sheila phoned me within minutes to tell me it was ready and updated the app to show ready for pickup. Worst cvs pharmacy I've ever encountered in my life. I've only been treated with courtesy by 2 people in all the times I've had to go there. I have had to deal with them more times than I ever wanted to because they won't do anything that has to do with insurance over the phone or at the drive thru. So they make you drive all the way down there and go in just to tell you they have no idea what you're talking about because the person before them didn't leave notes in the system or whatever. Most staff is unknowledgeable and completely rude. They won't do anything to help if there's a problem with insurance . I ended up paying cash for a prescription just to get out of there. Next time I went they were going to refund it and bill insurance but then the system locked up a week later I went in again to get a medication and was told only one was called in when the guy before saw them both. I addressed the refund again and the lady said it's been more than 30 days so they won't do it. I've never seen a bunch of people so rude and ugly with patrons. I finally got sick of it and called to talk to a supervisor the next morning who was worse than the lady the night before. She tried to say I yelled and cussed her employee which was a blatant lie. I've been using cvs for 30 years and have never encountered such a ghetto bunch of people in my life. They all act like they hate their job. I wish I knew the gentleman's name that was nice to me the one time I went in there. He was actually helpful and courteous, and in appearance, he looked like he would've been the bad one. He was young and a bit hippy but was so nice and good at his job. I would t ever go there again but most of the time I can't get over there until late and it's a 24 hour pharmacy. I get sick to my stomach every time I have to go deal with these people. There's a problem every time of some sort and they're always just short with people and uncaring. Don't go to them if you can avoid it. They're slow, rude and don't know their job well at all. They probably have a huge turnover because they are jerks. If the other supervisors are like the one I spoke to I can see it. I would never work around people so miserable. read more

So rude and you can't speak to a live person unless you leave a message. Once I finally spoke with someone they were rude and almost felt like they were intentionally being mean. As a medical professional myself this is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a pharmacy. They don't treat patients with respect or compassion and they are so unprofessional and unpleasant to interact with. Horrible customer service and I work in a very busy emergency room and I would never consider treating my patients like this. I highly recommend going anywhere else but here if you have the option. This is my first--and likely only--Yelp review, but the complete lack of care or compassion I encountered here prompted me to write it. My brother was recently released from the hospital following a serious car accident with severe injuries. His doctor prescribed three medications, including Norco for pain management due to the extent of his injuries. When we brought the prescriptions here to be filled, the pharmacist (Stephanie) did not inform us that she was refusing to dispense the Norco because this CVS is not his usual pharmacy. Instead, she simply tried to send us on our way without addressing the issue at all. Only after we questioned it did she explain the refusal--and even then, she was extremely rude and dismissive, suggesting that if we didn't like it, we could give back all the prescriptions and go somewhere else. This interaction added unnecessary stress and frustration during an already difficult time. I sincerely hope the management of this CVS pharmacy reads these multiple negative reviews and takes corrective action. This community deserves better. read more

Went to exchange a left wrist brace for a right brace and they made it so difficult because the lady was rushing. She didn't tell me how they were doing the exchange and it takes 2-5 BUSINESS DAYS to get the money back on my card, I don't have $50 to spend, the manager said to put it on store credit AFTER THE FACT. And yes I was upset but they made me feel like I was in the wrong for not knowing their exchange process. My son has a fractured wrist, its not like I could wait for the money to show back up! I don't even come here that often! Now I won't be going back ever, they lost a customer for sure. The people that work on the sales floor are really nice, helpful and always greet when I go in. Now the pharmacy on the other hand is the reason I give the low rating. Mostly tend to get people that are rude and definitely would not go out of their way to help. The only thing I do like is that they are 24hrs. Pharmacy has terrible customer service. Staff did not even make a lick of effort to get my son's medication filled following an ER discharge. Told me to find another cvs. Shouldn't they coordinate ? I can't believe that this type of service is acceptable to anyone. This pharmacy is just an incredibly poor excuse of an establishment. The pharmacy staff is rude, they seem understaffed and seem to get off by treating people who are truly in need as if they are degenerates. You are not there to question why someone is prescribed their medications. You're there to fulfill the scripts and provide consult to ensure people are educated on how to properly administer their medications. This pharmacy is withholding meds and prioritizing drugs as they see fit. Being without medications that affect someone's quality of life for over a month after the refill date is disgusting. To anyone looking for a pharmacy, you're definitely better off going to any place other than CVS. If you're that desperate and decide to or keep coming here then make sure it's for something simple. Ive been impressed with their system for refills. I put my meds on auto-refill and my doc has them approved for three months out. I don't take narcotic type drugs (he had prescribed a pain killer and I noticed if I had wanted to refill that it wouldve had to go to him again) anyhow the pharmacists talk to you when you have a new med or any warnings etc. the care pass is a great deal! 10 off a cvs item, their program is neat and you can earn extra bucks easily. I actually got a free big bag of chips and a free drink up to 3.00 too. sometimes they only have one cashier, and then there's a wait but most of the time it is in and out. Last year I wrote a warning about the CVS on McHenry and I want to remind people again this year about the scam that they ran out of their store. I bought a Home Depot card from them for my mom. When she tried to use it there was no money on it. I took the card to Home Depot thinking she might have become confused but they also said it showed a zero balance. I went to the store but of course they couldn't help me. I contacted the main office and after multiple calls and request for my receipt I finally manage to get one. I went back to the Home Depot and they ran the card again. As I walked away the woman called me back and asked if I had the receipt which I did. She checked the number on the back of the card against the receipt and the numbers didn't match. She said this happens all the time because people don't check to make sure the card hasn't been switched. She suggested that if you buy a card buy it from the store itself. Since we buy Amazon cards I have learned not to leave the counter until I make sure the card and receipt match. It gets busy and many times there is a line but you have to take the time to insure the card you bought is the one you are receiving. I would avoid the CVS stores when you are buying your gift cards but no matter where you buy them remember Buyer Beware! read more

When I went to retrieve my vaccine card because when I checked in she took it. They said sorry sir but never offended to give me my vaccine. My doctor called in my medication. I went in to pick it up and was told my doctor had just sent it in and they would text me when it was ready. At 9:30 pm I got a text from the pharmacy telling me my prescription was ready to be picked up. I went down to get it and was told it would not be ready until tomorrow. Very frustrating. I didn't think it would be possible, but this establishment is worse than Walgreens. I really hate being lied to, and that's exactly what happened just now. I get a text 2 days ago informing me that my meds are ready for pickup. I verify this online. I wait in drive thru for over an hour, only to be told brusquely that the meds went back to the shelf because 2 weeks had passed! I still have another day's worth of meds! It could not have been 2 weeks. I check online, and they have covered their tracks and deleted the order status that shows that they are lying to me. I have the texts on my phone. I appreciate this pharmacy staff so much. I have several prescriptions as well as my family and have always been happy with the service here. The staff get to know you, are friendly and truly do care. I am surprised at some of the reviews and have never had negative interactions. In fact they have assisted with some situations due to doctor offices falling behind or being unresponsive when I know they don't have to. The techs are especially helpful and the pharmacists do a great job answering questions and explaining when needed. I have seen them deal with quite a bit of crazy in that pharmacy so I always try to be extra patient and kind. I don't know how they do it sometimes lol. People need to realize their job is not easy. Treat them with respect and you will definitely get it back. read more

I have no experience obtaining prescriptions here. For your general personal care products and snacks, this is a nice, clean CVS. They also have check out counters similar to what you see at grocery stores with conveyer belts. I don't see that in too many CVS stores, but I like it. Always check for sales, of course, and the CVS extra bucks are worth signing up for. read more

I have never dealt with a situation like this trying to fill a prescription. This is the hardest pharmacy to try and fill your medicine. I feel like the pharmacists that work there are just trying to play GOD and not make it easy for us to get our medicines filled. I don't feel like it's up to them what my Dr gives me. So what if it's a controlled medicine, they don't know what condition I have or why I need it. They will constantly make you call your Dr and have the medicine changed or tell you that their distributor don't make that particular type. They don't call or txt to tell you that there's a problem because the problem is them, they are just trying to not fill medicine because they have an agenda against controlled substances. Go to the neighborhood Walmart they will take care of you and call you personally if they ever do come upon a problem with your medicines. read more

I scheduled an appointment for a Covid vaccine. I was 15 minutes early. I was told my appointment was canceled because the pharmacist went to lunch. Why schedule an appointment at lunch time. Why is it OK for the pharmacist to go to lunch knowing that there is a scheduled appointment. I made my appointment on line. Clearly the pharmacist is so full of himself or herself that my time is not as important as theirs. read more

My medication was sent their from the ER room , I've been using this location since I returned to California back in 2013 with no problems but this time The manager at the location give me the runaround and refused to refill the medications sent from the ER saying herself that I'm not a patient of that CVS and I had to use the other CVS on McHenry where I regularly get my medication and i had to have the ER send my prescription to MCHENRY CVS and not the 24 hour CVS and she was not going to fill it up I even called the 800 number customer service of CVS to get this straightened out and they told me that CVS 24 hours cannot deny to fill my prescriptions at 1700 McHenry Ave, I have never had problems with the CVS in 10 years that I've been here all the sudden I don't know they got a stick up there you know what and they refused to fill the prescriptions, 3405 Mchenry CVS called the prescriptions and filled them up immediately within 24 hours, after I called the 800 number customer service due to the problems I was having at 1700 McHenry Avenue @ CVS pharmacy , now I've been told by CVS McHenry that I cannot have any medications sent their or filled their that I have to use the CVS inside Target if I want to continue getting my medications filled with CVS.. first of all, all CVS are connected I should be able to choose which one I want I should not be stuck with Just with one location, and that is what Customer Service told me also I have a choice to pick what location I want!! But not according to 1700 McHenry Avenue Modesto California they are telling me I cannot use that location and they are refusing to refill my medication and I did nothing wrong except have the ER send my medication to that location I thought that they were still 24 hours I had no idea they change their hours when I went to the ER that night if not I would've used Walgreens better pharmacist yes I've been using CVS for more than 35 years and never had any trouble till now!! Absolute WORST pharmacy ever. I appreciate the text messages to let me know that my prescriptions are ready but if they're not ready, do not text me. It never fails that I will get a text message, I get in my car and drive down to this location and they will ask me to come back in 4 or 5 hours. Sydney just told me she couldn't ring up my items (only my prescription) because she was no longer on the clock and just was trying to help because they were busy. (You'll need to take all your stuff upfront, I'm not ringing it up) This is my second time having an issue with this employee. The last time she screamed at me when I asked who else had codeine when they were out. And I really didn't know that that was a problem, I was very sick and she informed me they were out of it and another pharmacist had told me to wait aside so she could let me know where I could get some. Sydney is the worst pharmacy whatever she is and I'm sick of her treating me badly every time I'm in there. Which unfortunately for me and my health it's pretty often. read more

Turns out my dad's insurance no longer allowed Walgreens to fill his prescription. I was referred to CVS stating they work this particular insurance. I had to go over to cvs and I had the worst customer service. I pulled up to the drive thru was told rudely, I needed to walk in the store to be helped. As I walked in to cvs the store was a mess! The pharmacy tech didn't even greet me or even acknowledge me. I had to ask for help after being ignored for a while. After 20 minutes of waiting cvs would not fill my dad's prescription until I got Walgreen's to release it to them. Usually the pharmacy would call the other pharmacy at this point to get the prescription and fill it. Well not this time. They rudely told me to call Walgreen's myself or drive back over there. I ended up driving back to Walgreen's because I couldn't get thru(I'm sure they're super busy). By then I'm getting heated! As soon I walked into Walgreens I was greeted. They could tell I was upset! I Told them my scenario and the pharmacist at Walgreens stepped in and called cvs herself and cleared up my situation. While I was waiting the whole crew was making me laugh & even apologized for CVS's horrible service. They made me feel Like a real person and welcomed. Thank you Walgreens! read more
