Painfully slow pharmacy drive-through. Have you ever been trapped in a 30 min line at a drive through with an infant. I have....as the second car in line with multiple cars trapping me in...if you are not the first car at the window plan on waiting a minimum of 30 mins. Ok, its 24/7...that's the only thing that keeps me coming back is because it's OPEN!!. The twilight-zone customer service, especially late at night, is ....an EXPERIENCE, for sure! Ok, friendliness isn't the problem...the guys are friendly enough...it's the competence. A simple return, with receipt...how does this take over 30 minutes?? And how does it require BOTH of the only cashiers --one being the mgr--to figure out?? (while other customers are waiting to check out)..... i literally felt myself morphing into my kindergarden teacher, miss coughlin, to point out the difference between two products when they couldn't figgure out why they were priced differently, and which one i was returning (even though it was right there on the receipt in black and white which one i had) And ok, when i explain, in my best miss coughlin voice, that yes, you CAN do that, because you're the mgr and i just had the same thing happen a week ago.....the response of "no, no i can't, it wont let me, i dont know how to do that, so we have to do it this way..." Is kind of, um, special. This is the way of corporate America, I guess...the Walgreens name brings customers by the boatload, so why bother paying a decent wage to hire competent employees, right?? I visited two Walgreens pharmacies and two CVS pharmacies open late at night in my area to ask questions about filling a prescription after surgery, and all of the pharmacists/pharmacist assistants were friendly and helpful and make positive suggestions except for this one: the person I talked to was dismissive, and came across like I was stupid for asking my questions. Forget it - go to the Walgreens on Ogden, or the CVS pharmacies on Ogden and on Rt 59; much nicer to deal with. These folks seem not to realize they've got lots of competition a short drive away -- or worse, they don't care. read more

Esther the pharmacist is the MOST rude heartless " pharmacist " i ever encounter in my entire life! i reported this woman once for disrespecting me as a patient when i was having some side effect from a new medication and i was panicking a bit all i needed was to know if this was normal. She didn't want to acknowledge me even though that's the pharmacist JOB! i was so upset almost in tears over the phone. i cant believe this kind of person is in the medical field! today again... don't ask me dumb questions just do what my doctor said and that's it! ruthless! feel bad for your husband if you even have one! Walgreens you must investigate this woman she is horrible on every single aspect. the 3 times i've dealt with this woman she is heartless, disrespectful and condescending! i am not a child no one deserves this treatment specially if you are sick or not feeling well. i will not stop until you get dealt with with a supervisor. I used thîs Walgreens for years and suffered through hours of waiting in line only to experience the WORST customer service EVER! Extremely long wait times even when I was the only customer and regardless of the time of day not to mention rude and inefficient once they did help me. And you can really tell they just don't care. One guy REFUSES to pick up the phone in the drive through so you can't hear him at all through the glass. You can tell him you can't hear a zillion times but he keeps talking at same volume and won't pick up the blasted phone. The lady there at night tries to be nice but she's so inefficient that even at 10 at night cars are backed up and after waiting 1/2 hr she makes you wait another eternity while she tries to figure out how to process the prescriptions. Horrible! I have finally transferred all my rx's to CVS and I want to hug and kiss them for their professionalism, short wait time and haggle free service. All I can say is MAKE THE CHANGE! Horrible pharmacy service and the drive thru lines are always backed up because of the painfully SLOW pharmacy service. Use a different location if you can....or make sure you have a full tank of gas for the drive thru. read more

I've used this pharmacy since I moved to Naperville over 5 years ago. Always understaffed. Most of the staff appears to be under siege every time I go in there. And... they consistently get quantities wrong. This last month, several of my prescriptions were for a 3 month supply which my insurance doesn't cover, leading to sticker shock, then a 20 minute wait to get it cleared up. They consistently fax the wrong doctor(s), and with the "new regulations" in place requiring the pharmacist to go over every prescription with every patient, the net result is that customers stand in line to talk to a tech who has to stand in line to talk to the pharmacist. I would say they are inefficient, but that would be too kind. I'll be talking to the pharmacy manager tomorrow to go over ALL of my family's medications, doses, doctors, etc. I have to balance this BS with the fact that Walgreen's is everywhere, and a 24 hour pharmacy is very convenient. I am reevaluating this equation. read more

This Walgreens has the absolute worst wait in the drive-thru. Sat in line for almost 10 minutes and when we finally pulled up no one even spoke to us for an additional 5 minutes (and we can see them inside the window just standing around chatting). Then a car in the other Lane pulled up and was helped before us. Absolutely ridiculous. There's an older woman in the pharmacy department that's a complete airhead. We were also told our prescription would be ready in about an hour. We come back two of hours later and we're still sitting in the drive thru waiting for it to be ready. read more

Extremely inept and highly inefficient staff in the pharmacy. Even before COVID, they were terrible. I used to go to the Walgreens closer to where I live and they were wonderful. That store closed and I'm stuck with these yahoos. They are always messing things up, taking forever, and never apologize. They took forever looking for a script and it held up the line for so long, I said forget it, I'll come back later and as I walk out the door they call my name. One women was a snot when I tried to help her figure out how to apply a coupon. she told me she knew how to do her job. I had the directions, but she insisted she knew how to do it. After taking quite a while, she called over a coworker for help. Today I was excited to see there was no wait. I walk up to the counter and wait and wait... it was over 8 minutes before I asked if someone could please help me. I am rung up and when I get home I see that they did not use the coupon that is on file and I was charged $80 instead of $5. I drive back and was told I couldn't return it without the other script I picked up. I wasn't not given any other options until I asked if I could just pick it up another day. Again, no apologies and then wanting me to drive home again to get the other script! They waste everyone's time. I'd be fired if I performed like this at my job. I'd also be embarrassed to be doing my job so ineptly. They always put me in a bad mood there. If you have the option to use another pharmacy, run! read more

I love the location and convenience of this Walgreens, but I will be taking my needs elsewhere. I have been getting my prescriptions filled here for 14 months now. I started taking a new medication 7 MONTHS ago, and JUST TODAY one of the new pharmacy techs I've never seen before asked me if I knew that that medication interfered with my other medication. Umm, no. The worst part, I heard him asking one of the other pharmacists "Should I tell her?", "I guess if you want..." Really?! Thanks for your concern!!! read more

Haven't had any issues when I've been here. I get in and out with no issues. They have two redbox kiosks outside which is nice. Walgreens you will pay a premium for things so keep what you need to a limit. read more

This Walgreens is ok. Staff is ok, I have seen friendlier. The parking lot is a nightmare. There are plenty of parking spots, but it is a maze trying to get in and out of the store. The store is not quite as organized as some of the others, but I would still go back as long as I can find my way through the maze. read more

Walgreens has definitely taken a rough turn the last few years - perhaps cost cuts. So in general plan some extra time and really double check things. This particular store is 24-hour and really depends on who is working. If you have great insurance and know what you need (no questions) then it is very convenient. If you need some individual attention you may be disappointed. read more

Absolutely, the worst customer service ever! I dropped off a prescription at 6:30pm and they said 1 Hour it would be ready. I came back at 7:44 and they had not even imputed the information per "Mary" at the window. Informed me it would be 20 minutes. Well came back at 8:40pm and they still have not filled it. No one even greeted me, Mary said its not done we are starting it! Someone explain to me with 3 people behind the pharmacy counter they can be so incompetent. Great for quick pickup of essentials! Avoid the pharmacy though, they are at least an hour to fill your script. When u are feeling bad and just want to get to bed, head over to target pharm around the corner -15 mins tops!! And this one is no longer 24 hrs, they close from midnight till 8 am read more

I went to walgreens today to get some new make up & the lady working the beauty counter was literally the NICEST person i've ever met! she was so helpful and kind. I wish I got her name but she has long dark hair and told me she had been working for walgreens for 38 years, although she looked like she could be in her 40s!! Super great service! I am not one to review places without giving the benefit of the doubt, but this place has had plenty of chances to change my mind. I am stuck using walgreens because of my insurance but this place is always light years behind the CVS where my husband is able to go. Their wait time is Very Very long, even when prescriptions are phoned in. We drove about 30 minutes from the office and stopped to shop at another store and when I got to walgreens they said they just received the order and it would be another 20 min for two water pills. I watched my doctor enter the order, they did not just get it. They waited until I got there to start it. My husband had to wait an hour for my order two days before. To top it off, the lady fought with me about the 2/$3 water and refused to check the price. I did on my way back to wait for my order and amazingly I was right. I am tires of fighting at this place. Find somewhere else to go if you can... it is not worth your time and effort to use this Walgreens! read more

Consistently very slow. I'm currently sitting in the drive thru line. I've been waiting now for about 15 minutes in the drive through. They go out of order frequently so sometimes your turn gets skipped. I've never been to the drive thru or inside and waited any less than 15 minutes. For such a high volume location that's open 24 hours (well almost 24) I would have expected better. I live close by and am looking into other locations. read more

9:00pm on a Thursday I had a prescription filled and was told it would take a second. After walking around the store for an hour I check in and get told they're not done yet. I had a cream filled at this wallgreens so they literally had to drop a tube in a bag. After 30 more minutes nothing got done, the pharmacist and tech just kept on talking and ignoring the now 10 person line, I left and will never return. Worst experience ever. read more

I stayed with my daughter & her husband in Naperville during my Athletico physical therapy from May to November, 2016 after a near death illness. Many visits to this Pharmacy were necessary. I received the most conscientious, courteous help regarding my medicines & including blood pressure checking at a very necessary time. Congrats on their excellent Customer Service skills. Transferred my prescriptions to Target. This pharmacy SUCKS. Way understaffed and no line control

Was in there a couple days ago. I ended up in the emergency earlier that day and when I was released, I chose to go to this Walgreens because it was open 24 hours. When I dropped the prescriptions off at 8:00pm a very young male at the drive thru advised it would take 30-45 minutes to fill. I ended up getting some food and browsing at a different store. We returned at 9:15pm, thinking that we gave them ample time to fill it. After sitting in the drive thru and not being acknowledged for about 5 minutes, my boyfriend clicked the call button. When the same gentleman opened the tray, we gave him my credit card and name. Then we waited. After about 10 more minutes sitting and waiting for the prescription, we pressed the call button again. This time a woman came to the window and was speaking to us but.... She never pressed the speaker button so we have no idea what she was saying. Then she walked away. Okay??? At this point about 20 minutes of sitting there (In pain may I add), still nothing. However we DID see the 2 pharmacists help about 8 other customers that were in line. Still we waiting and pressed the call button quite a few more times. Remember, I had given the kid my Credit card a while ago. Finally after sitting in the drive thru for more than 30 minutes, we were really upset. So we drove around and went in. I let them know, that they shouldnt take peoples credit cards, and hold on to them. If my prescription wasnt ready, why didnt they just tell me this? So after a 40 minute ordeal, I FINALLY got my prescription. No apologies, no nothing. I will never return to this Walgreens, and am constantly checking the activity on my card. As far as I know, one of those people behind the desk stole the number. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more
