Good service, only giving it 4 of 5 stars because the floors were not very clean and looked like they had not been mopped in a few days.

Worst pharmacy ever. Severely understaffed to the point that the staff asked me to call corporate…read moreand complain. Inside the place is filthy. I was there last night to pick up two prescriptions and I was told that one of them was out of stock. When another pharmacist spoke up and said, let me check that because I don't think that's possible. This pharmacist was correct. I was in serious pain and they were getting ready to send me to another pharmacy somewhere in Newport News to get the medication that they actually did have in stock. As I sat there and waited for it to be filled, which took 30 minutes and I was told it would be less than 15 all I could notice was how filthy the chairs the table the floor everything was. The first woman I spoke with was very rude, and dismissive of my concerns. I don't live in Newport News. I'm only here a few days a week and with a Fourth of July weekend coming up the pharmacy I would've had to go to in my town would have been closed. So the pharmacist who spoke up actually saved me a lot of problems. I do appreciate that, but this store is ridiculous. I'm a CVS plus member and we can get deliveries and every time I order something online, I end up getting half of what I ordered because it says it's in stock online, but when I actually get my order half of the items were out of stock. I use coupons and points to purchase a lot of things so when my order is not complete, I lose the value of those coupons and points. It's maddening.

I went to pick up a prescription that my physician has prescribed for me for a number of years…read morebecause of back pain and spasms. Suddenly after years I am told they cannot fill this prescription without a new prescription from my physician. The physician sent out a new prescription, but the pharmacy still refused to fill it stating it is a controlled substance which is the first I have ever heard this about this drug. The pharmacy stated my insurance no longer covered it so I said I would pay out of pocket. They still refused to fill it because the insurance company needed to speak with my physician. I accepted this as protocol although I had never been informed before regarding this medication, but my annoyance is with the pharmacy worker who was positively smug with me and acted as though I was a drug addict seeking to obtain a controlled substance, which I previously stated in this review and to the pharmacist that I had never been told that before. This is not the first time I have been treated like this at this pharmacy. I feel insulted at their insinuations about me. For this very reason, I will be changing pharmacies and I will no longer encourage anyone to use it. I understand if insurance companies have policies to follow, but the pharmacy itself does not have to treat me and probably other customers in this way. Thank you, F Lawrence

If there is more than 2 cars in line at the drive through you're waiting 20+ mins. 3 - picked up a prescription for my son and it seemed expensive but they told me that was the price after insurance covered a portion. Went back two weeks later for a different prescription and after waiting in the car line for 30+ minutes was told they DONT have insurance on file for him and I had to come inside. Came inside and waited for 10 minutes, put the insurance on file and asked for the prescription. They then told me that they would have to re-process the medication and I couldn't have it for another 30 minutes even though it was ready. 4 - later that week, my husband came inside to fill a prescription for our cat. He got in line at 1:20 with one person ahead of him. The employee made eye contact with him and smiled at him. The person in front of him took 10 minutes and when he got to the front of the line, it was 1:30. He said he needed to fill a prescription quickly and she said "ok, come back at 2 because we're closed for lunch." He said okay, but I've been in line since 1:20. She said "we've been closing for lunch at 1:30 since 2014." Neither of us have an issue with them closing for lunch - everyone deserves breaks. But it would've taken her 2 seconds to look at him when he got in line at 1:20 and say "sorry sir, after this customer we are closing for lunch! It's best to come back after 2!" But instead she let him waste 10 minutes of his time and then proceeded to give him a bratty attitude. We used to be rite aid customers and NEVER experienced issues like we've had with this CVS. Avoid this hellscape if you can. Truly dread when we have to come here

So I left the store and as I was walking out to be cordial, some old white lady came up to me, first time I heard anything from anyone. I considered asking her for help but I knew she didn't have the know how to help me. So I just said I was good and walked away. Then she stopped me and said I looked suspicious caused I looked suspicious. CVS is recruiting ultimately Karens, you got one that was working today at midday. She basically was trying to accuse me of stealing something because you have a beyond trash TIOSK, and after I realized it was trash, I walked out with something. You had an elderly employee bascially asking me to empty out my pockets which I refused to do so. I had a hard drive, UBS plug, iphone plug and still couldn't get Kiosk to work. I thought that your Karen was coming up to help me after she saw I was repeately struggling but instead she accused me of stealing. Luckily I got my pictures published by helpful staff at a far better establisthment. I have zero establishment with anyone, but seriously CVS, whoever works on your staff that is an older lady with glasses at this establishment needs to be fired immediately. She is calling out people for reaching into their pockets and confronting them. It will be a Human Resources eye source and I am absolutely the kind of person that will follow up on it.

All I wanted to do was exchange it for one with legs & he wanted to argue that I didn't purchase a walker there. I had my receipt, the app showing the order that had taken place one hour prior, the email confirmations, the door dash delivery texts & he still didn't want to do the exchange. After going in circles in the same conversation with him on the phone & in person he got a major attitude with me because I started speaking louder because I was irritated at that point. He started yelling at me that I better not talk to him that way & I responded to him that I was simply speaking louder so others could hear the conversation since it was going in circles & he didn't seem to be hearing or understanding me very well. His coworkers were even standing there laughing at him. This man does not understand that customers can purchase items on the app & check out AS A GUEST. He refused to help me because he couldn't find a purchase under my name after I told him 3 times I checked out as a guest & there was NO NAME. I had the receipt IN HAND & he refused it. He got angry & stormed off on me so the girl up front had to go get another manager for me. Thankfully there were two managers on shift or I would have had to have called the police to get any assistance. The 2nd manager found the order via the order number on the receipt and was able to do the exchange in under 2 minutes without any issues. This store needs to fire the manager named Emmit. He is totally incapable of doing this job & has no idea what customer service means.
