They hang up on you when you call. When you go to the store and ask why they say they are short staffed. They say they update your number and don't until the second time you come back and ask again. I am only talking about the Walgreens at MLK and Craig. Last month, My 87 year old mother was running out of her insulin. At the end of the year she changed her Medicare. When we went to transfer her prescription we got the total run around. We explained we were going out of town tomorrow and would like to get it refilled today. It is 1:00 pm. The staff were rude and even said, "we'll get to when we get to it". We waited till the next morning and had to go to Urgent Care to get a new prescription because Walgreens would not call Walmart and get it transferred, which is standard procedure. THEN... yesterday we had to take her to her doctor due to blood pressure. The doctor electronically sent over the prescription and we waited about three hours before going by Walgreens to pick it up. When we arrived they said, "we do not have a prescription from your doctor. By now the doctor was closed. We had to call the doctor the next morning. The doctor told us that they had a confirmed receipt at 3:38 pm. We called Walgreens and they said sorry we don't have it. Went by doctor and got a paper prescription and went Walgreens to get it filled. While there we watched their pharmacy staff be so rude to other customers. When it was my turn. I just told them that their lack of professionalism needed major adjustments and took my prescription to the Walgreens at Decatur and Craig. What a difference!!! The read more

I went in to pick up my prescription and although the governor has mandated mask there was a woman who was able to walk in Walgreens with no mask, sit and wait for her prescription, while talking on the phone, and not one employee said anything to her. What a terrible location. My husband needs two blood pressure pills to get him through the weekend since the doctors office had a delay in getting his prescription to them and they tell me I can come in for an emergency supply to get through the weekend. I asked if they were sure and she said she'd double check. She left me on hold and then hung up on me..... I'm the wrong person to ignore. I went to get my daughter allergy medicine since she was having allergic reaction. The pharmacist was ok then when I went to pay for my medication the cashier was rude for no reason. She was so slow I had to snatch my bag from her so I can take my child to the hospital. No compassion for another human being, just plain selfishness. I needed to use the restroom usually I don't even bother if they're cleaning i understand they want to go home and finish their day. Monique the night manager felt that it was my job to clean the bathroom after she had me wait 10 minutes because she was closing up. She made me wait the 10 minute to use the restroom to walk in there and use it I completely understand that's it for my safety so I won't slip and fall but if I walk in there and there is tissue all over the place, mirrors, and sinks are filthy and I let you know and you're upset because you couldn't do your job I don't know what to tell you. I've worked in customer service for a while and I know it can be a hassle but guess what you're getting paid, if this was easy everyone would do it. This is the WORST Walgreens in town. Need to drop off a prescription? Gotta wait 30 minutes in line. Need to pick up a prescription? That will be a 30 minute wait in line as well. We won't even bother talking about how long it takes them to actually fill the prescription. If you call the store it is no better. I tried 4 times today to talk to a pharmacist on the phone after getting an email saying they were filling a script that I no longer take. Every call was the same. I would wait for 8 to 10 minutes for someone to pick up the phone just to hear them lift the reciever and slam it back down. 4 times in a row this happened. I tried to call the store side and a cashier answered. I asked for a manager and after 7 minutes I was hung up on. Dont bother trying to call them. You will never get through. The last time I went there to pick up my daughter's medicine through the drive thru. When we got home and opened the bag it was someone else's prescription in the bag with my daughter's prescription info stapled to the bag. They gave my daughter the wrong medication!!!! They gave her 2 bottles of diabetic drugs instead of her 2 different prescription bottles. I went back to the store to swap the drugs. They gave me 10 worth of points for my trouble and then as we were leaving stopped me to ask if my daughter had taken any of the diabetic pills. It was an after thought to them to see if my daughter was ok. This used to be a very good pharmacy. It has become a real nightmare now to go there. Making mistakes with people's medications is inexcusable. The long wait times just to drop off a prescription is ridiculous. Refusing to answer the phone is just plain nonsense. "Ariel" remained so polite and understanding when it came to my situation of needing my medication to leave out of town. I wish all people in this field could be as great as her. Thank Ariel! THE REST OF THE STAFF & THE PHARMACISTS are rude and obviously don't know how to do their jobs! I have never had these types of issues at any other Walgreens! I honestly can not believe that Walgreens allows lakeesha in the pharmacy to work there. I called the pharmacy at 8pm to check on my prescription and they told me it was ready now for pick up. I arrived at 849 and lakeesha says it's not ready nothing we can do to help you move along. I am floored by the service I just received here . Two registers open. One has 5 people in line the second one has one. We lined up on the shorter line. By the time it's our turn, the cashier rudely told us, "excuse me, i need to take the next person in line, from the other line. i work in retail as a Cashier myself. If we have two or three register open and we all have a line, we will ring up the people who are on our line. When our line is empty THEN We will call out the next person in line, to help our coworker. The cashiers here need more training. Please get it together!!! If I could give zero stars I would! This is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever been to - I would love to go to CVS across the street but they don't accept my insurance. Every time I drop off a prescription it takes at least 30 minutes. I receive text messages when it's ready- and surprise surprise it's NEVER actually ready when I go to get it hours later... The people that work there always say "there's an issue with your insurance" well why have you not updated it one of the hundred times I've given you my ins. Card!!?!? And why are you texting me it's ready for pick up?!?! These people move so slow it's ridiculous and ask you the same question over and over ...& over. Not to mention I always get different prices for the SAME prescription - what is that about?! Anywhere from free to $10.... are we just making stuff up now? And no one ever seems to know how to use the register... The one time I received decent and timely service, I was then handed a customer survey - go figure. I always come to this Walgreens because it's right down the street from my house, and also on the way home from work. Tonight is the absolute last time I will ever visit this Walgreens. We just sat in line at the pharmacy to go for one hour and was told that my prescription wasn't ready. I dropped the prescription off last night they told me it would be ready at 10 o'clock this morning. They told me I had to come inside for my prescription where I then had to wait for another 25 minutes while people try to figure out what was going on with my account, and try to find enough pills to get together not even a half of a prescription for one of my fills. Every month I come in to pick up the same prescriptions and they always tell me that I'm coming to early and that they can't fill my prescription when I'm clearly not coming to early if I've run out of medication. I've never received an apology or even a "I understand this must be frustrating". Management needs to take a look at what's going on here, it's quite disappointing. read more

I thought that I should post a follow-up review. Today my son and I revisited this Walgreens for his second COVID vaccination. I couldn't believe my eyes. There were zero people in line (there were 4 sitting to the side), however they were waiting on their prescriptions to be filed. We checked-in and were seen within 10- minutes of completing our COVID vaccine paperwork. I must say that this was a much better response time and much better service. Keep up the goodwork 1445 W. I spent 20 mins waiting to talk to someone after having to deal with the awful automated machine, and when i finally got through to the pharmacy, the guy was extremely rude and not helpful at all. (what was the point of transferring my call??!) and when I tried explaining.. three words in she interrupts me and repeats herself finishing with an "Okay?? Bye!" And hangs up.. If I can give no stars I would . The night manager in the pharmacy was THE RUDEST person I have EVER met . I don't write reviews , but I had to for this one . First of all we waited 40 MINUTES in the drive through just to get up into the window (I work in customer-service so I understand things happen and sometimes it causes a wait) . After that they said they didn't have my perception ready (this isn't the first time this has happened I had to get another person to look and get it correct) . ANYWAYS I was speaking to the RUDE pharmacy manger and she kept cutting me off and not letting me explain that my dr sent my medicine over . She then got frustrated from me trying to explain she got the BIGGEST attitude and said she "can't hear me anymore" then shoving the phone to the pharmacy assistant and walked away (IF YOU COULDN'T HEAR ME HOW COME YOU WERE HAVING A CONVERSATION WITH ME) . I have NEVER been SO disappointed, disrespected, disgusted and in utter shock from some one acting like that who's supposed to be PROFESSIONAL . This is THE WORST PHARMACY EVER . Service is terrible, they lost my script twice in 4 months and gave me a run around saying they would fill the script after my doctor called just to be told that I would need to return to my doctor and retrieve a second hard copy of the script. Very unprofessional. read more

So when I come the photo person tells me that a other guy put my picture In the wrong in someone else folder so he had to re do it again took about 15 min to re do it.
