Now that the history lesson is out of the way, I have to say this Propst is a nice addition to Five Points. When I lived nearby on Ward, Propst Drugs was very convenient as it was open seven days a week, and I liked you could pick up over-the-counter items there, and Propst offered the convenience of an in-house post office counter. Darden, the pharmacist at the time, was very knowledgeable and helpful. I never considered it a "discount" pharmacy/drugstore; however, that may be an artifact from its name when it opened in the 1950s. I like that the business model has changed over the years, with the initiation of a "walk in clinic" here, I think around 2010, and the consolidation of the durable medical equipment at this location (which was formerly on Governers Drive). I can't comment to the walk-in clinic or the durable medical equipment since I have not used either. The convenience to both Star Market grocery (which has an in-store pharmacy) and the Propst Drug Store are huge assets to those living in Five Points. Most residents can walk to both stores and even dine at 1892 East across the street. Thank you, Darden, for keeping Huntsville's "Heritage" alive!

I tried Walgreens and Krogers (both rude and apathetic) before coming here and being pleasantly surprised. The lady with short hair has a tough exterior, I thought she hated me at first haha. But came to realize she just has a busy job that she takes very seriously, which makes her seem that way. The younger guy with a beard is a hero. One time I was getting jerked around for days by my insurance company. I literally gave him my phone and let him do the talking, and it was fixed that day. For example, I live 35 minutes away and have numerous pharmacies within a 3 mile radius from me yet I choose the drive because they are by far the fastest, most reliable and most inexpensive pharmacy I've dealt with and being a nurse I've dealt with many. It's been around 6 years dealing with them now and I've had zero issues. The staff are also the friendliest and most helpful people I've ever dealt with in this area. I choose the 1 hour round trip over the 8 minute one for a reason.

The Heinz beans from the UK are being sold for a limited time. I purchased extra the last time I went. I was paying about $5 a can at Publix. I The other find I saw was leaf kimchi. This is gold. It tastes like your Umma made it. The regular kimchi Costco sells is sliced. I am used to slicing the fermented Napa cabbages each time versus opening a container and having pieces. This new green leaf kimchi has a great flavor. After it was opened, it started to sour which is normal. I made fried rice with it and it was great. The kimchi needs to really sour before I can make soondubu jigae. Yum! If you haven't been to Costco, please go with a friend who is a member so you can see all the cool merchandise they have to offer. 5/5

I want to highlight about my experience during an emergency this Sunday at Costco tires…read more We had an emergency: our tires were ripped on our way to drop my wife off for a marathon at 6:00 a.m. We somehow changed to the spares and frantically booked an appointment nearby. The earliest available was at 11:30 a.m. Hoping against hope, we went to see if we could get an earlier appointment at around 9.30 AM. This is when we met Rob, who was godsent. He was beyond amazing in understanding our problem and helping us through this. At 9.30 am, he not only checked for our tires in the inventory but also moved our appointment to 10 AM and made sure that it was properly aligned and ready for the trip. We also made it back on time to see my wife cross the finish line :) Once again, thanks to Rob and the team's amazing service. We are beyond happy and thankful for their service. Yet another example how Costco takes care of its members and its amazing value for customers.
