The gal who worked with me was obviously hung over, not happy about being there that morning, and gave me an absolutely amazing pore popping, skin changing facial. Walked out of there feeling like a million bucks .. and that I'd just spent an hour with my worst frenemy. I returned for another facial last month and met with a different gal; very sweet, but provided the most unenthusiastic spa service I've ever received. Again - an absolutely fabulous facial, but left me lying on the table for 5 - 10 minutes at a time in between treatments. Get up off the chair and throw in some massage for crying out loud .. don't just let me lay there! Two fabulous facials, two totally bizarre experiences - I will be back! =) How can I not?!

The best advice I've received about makeup as an African-American woman was from someone that worked at Sephora about getting lighter makeup for darker skin to put under my eyes. It was an epiphany for me and I have used that advice ever since and it has really done wonders for how I have used makeup ever since for lightning my eyes and making them pop. I have been to Sephora all over the country from the East Coast to the West Coast out north and south from Texas to Boston, North Carolina, so Sephora is a place that I do recommend folks to go if you get a rep who is disrespectful just simply write a review and get their name and call them out. Keep in mind they are very strict with their cancellation rule! i made an appt for my cousin for the same day and she was in a car accident and couldnt make it so they charged me for her appt that was not going to be used, makeup and lashes application - $80.
