Made an appointment for my flu shot. I was on time and since there was a line I checked in with the QR code on a poster there. Waited half an hour and when the line was diminished I went to the counter to see how much longer since I had other errands to get to. I was told another 15 minutes and the gal rang up my vaccine. Insurance paid for it so I didn't owe anything. Since I'm asthmatic this vaccine is important for me and worth a wait which was actually less than ten minutes more. I was called to a private room and given my shot with little discomfort by a friendly, I'm assuming pharmacist or tech. Easy peasy except for the wait! read more

Switched to Wallgreens. Big mistake. I wanted my prescriptions to be 90 days. First i was told we will change that next time. Then I was told that my doctor office only did 30 days. I called my doctors office and they sent new scripted for 90 days. I just called and again it was 30 days. Then I was told my insurance company denied the 90 day. That is BS! Then the truth came out. They could not provide the 90 day scripted! Why do you lie to customers? You lost my business forever! People should not do business with liars! read more

Ordered cards to be printed here a week ago. Usually when you order online it's same day printing. We arrived to pick up the next day and they were not ready. It's been over 5 days and each time I've called to inquire, they've stated that they don't have the ink to print the order and are "hopefully" receiving a shipment today. Unfortunately, we weren't aware of this issue before we ordered. I would recommend either calling first to check availability or choosing a different Walgreens location for photo orders. read more

If I could no star them I would. I use to work as a pharmacy Tec for this company years ago so I know these are not the standards they are held to. My bf had surgery and the doctor sent over some pain meds to them and even called them to release them to us but the pharmacist refuses saying the doctor hasn't said anything yet. It has now been almost a week and they still wont release them. We tried calling and he was on hold for almost an hr . I called from my phone and got ahold of someone almost right away. I needed to get the new Shingles vaccine (Shingrix) and every place that I called had a waiting list of around a year. (A few said that I might get treated within six months but no guarantee.) One Walgreens that I called also had a huge backlog but said this Walgreens might have some vaccine. I called and they had some in stock! (Maybe because of the bad reviews that I'm reading here.) The wait was not long and everyone was professional and pleasant to work with. My experience was as good as it gets. I saw the doctor at around 11 - 11:30 So I went grocery shopping to give Walgreens a chance to pick the pills I needed We came back at 2:30 plenty of time to handle the shit We go to the drive thru to make it faster What do you know, they don't have it ready They blame the doctor and say no one has sent it over. We have been using Walgreens in Sparks for 15 years but switched to this one when we moved. This review is for the pharmacy only. They're awful! We've filled several prescriptions over 5 months and haven't had a good experience yet. They're grossly understaffed, leading to extreme waits. I had a tech assure me they'd call on one prescription for clarification but they didn't, so it's at least 3 days until it's done, as it's a holiday weekend. I had asked specifically if they were going to call. We'll be switching pharmacies; any inconvenience will be worth it to get quality service. UPDATE: we never did switch and service still sucks. Just waited in drive through so long that I fell asleep, as did my passenger, and that was after we got the the front. Ridiculous! read more

So impressed with the pharmacy staff. Covid vaccines were delayed because of the ice storms and appointments cancelled. We have been using Walgreens for more than 30 years. Moved to Reno a little over two years ago to the north valleys area. The Walgreens on Lemmon Drive has got to be one of the slowest Walgreens we have ever used. We always use the drive thru for convenience. We generally are sitting in the drive thru for at least 20 minutes each time we have to pick up a prescription. Sometimes it is the same person working the counter and the drive they window. Other times there is one person working each. Would it hurt Walgreens to hire more people? I think not! It seems they have more pharmacists and techs working in the background rather than taking care of customers. I have actually been in the drive thru and listened to a customer argue with the pharmacy tech over the fact that her insurance denied her prescription. In those instances, why can't the pharmacy tech tell the customer they need to come inside to discuss? Or for any other reasons that hold everyone else up for 20+ minutes? Very seriously considering switching our prescriptions to another pharmacy in spite of the convenience factor. Hopefully someone from Walgreens will read this and possibly do something about it? Walgreens Lemon Dr. Reno, Nv. If I could give minus I would. This store has continued to go down hill. I requested my meds to be delivered as I've done in the past. I went on line on a Tuesday for free ( 1-2 day ) delivery. On Friday I received a text to please pick up my order. I called to be told no request was set up. Since fedex doesn't work over weekend I could request again but wouldn't receive until following mid week. My prescription has no co-pay so therefore I would have to pay for delivery according to the girl on the phone. WRONG !!! What kind of crazy is that ? A way to make up a fee ??? Go without meds for over a week because of their silliness. If the store can't perform the service that they offer ( 1 - 2 day free delivery ) then don't have that as an option. Come on, ask any doctor if that's good practice for your daily regimen your system has been on for years, ( multiple pills a day times 6- 7 days ) because some pharmacies can't run as smoothly as they pride themselves on. While you're not going wither away, Walgreens is still going to get the money from the insurance companies. So don't allow them to side step and tell you, you will have to pay a delivery fee. ITS FREE DELIVERY. Have them put it in writing if it's not. read more

LOUSY SERVICE-DOUBLE TAP Scheduled flu shots for myself and Wife on-line the day before going in on October 11. We had to give our DOB-so they would know that we were both over 65 and might just want the enhanced vaccination for seniors (no place on the on-line form to actually request this, which seems like a good idea to me). Showed up to find a sign taped to the door stating they were out of senior vaccine. Hoped this was just for walk-ins, but a check at the counter indicated none for us either. I told the employee they hadn't called us to reschedule. She looked at me like I was from Pluto. No apologies-just put us on a pre-printed list and said their warehouse had just screwed up and they would have some soon and call us. Waited 4-5 days-no call. Called the CVS right across the street-who advised they had the senior vaccine in stock. Went right in and took care of it. Still waiting for Walgreens to call me back??? Maybe before next flu season??? Double barrel incompetence!!! I honestly don't do much shopping at drugstores-but from now on it will be CVS when we do. read more

Not only did the pharmacy fast track the meds for follow up on my daughters wisdom tooth extraction. They were so fun and caring when she insisted on speaking to them when we were dropping them off. They were ready well before I was told they would be. When I returned to pick them up they remembered who I was, asked if my daughter was doing ok and the pharmacist offered some advice on keeping her comfortable. To me this is true customer service. I grew up in a family business and my parents always told me hat the best advertisement for a business is word of mouth... I won't stop raving about the service at this Walgreens. Thank y'all for making this experience a little less stressful. read more

WARNING: AVOID THIS PHARMACY AT ALL COSTS! In the past 10 months, I have had to fill prescriptions at Store #11226 several times. I will recap the last 2 visits. May 2014 We sat in the drive-thru, 4 cars deep for 27 minutes before arriving at the window. Once we got there, we were notified that my wife's antibiotic, which was prescribed by Pritchett Eye Care, was not filled as they could not verify PEC in their system. I asked "window guy" why we didn't get a phone call. He said "Yeah, we should have called you." I replied, "Yes, that would have been nice as we've been sitting here for almost a half an hour. Could you pass that along to your boss?" He looked at me as if I spoke Greek. We had the prescription filled at another Walgreen's location the next day with no issues. Fill in the blanks... these guys didn't do their job. However, if their job was to waste my time they deserve a fat raise. March 2014 After waiting in the drive-thru for more than 40 minutes, I arrived to the window to see "window guy" and the Pharmacist having a little pow-wow by the phone with their backs slightly turned to me. Okay... maybe it was important. Ten minutes later, I decided to call the pharmacy. I watched as the phone was picked up, my call was placed on-hold and they continued the pow-wow. Finally, after much time had passed, "window guy" picked up the phone. I asked if anyone was working today. He answered, "Yes." I replied, "Great! Can you come to the window? I've been sitting here for almost an hour!" Priceless. These people are the epitome of S-L-O-W. It is utterly ridiculous to have such long wait times. Is it a requirement to move at a snail's pace in order to work at this pharmacy? I've been inside twice to fill a prescription. Trust me... it isn't any faster. read more

Today I received 5-star service from Mike in the pharmacy. I had to fill a prescription for one of those "packs". There were 3 different pills packaged together as one prescription to be taken twice a day for 14 days. A total of 56 pills. The cost was over $500. When Mike saw the price he told me that if I could give him an hour or so he would see if he could price it out as three separate prescriptions. I went back an hour later and the cost was cut from $515 down to $134!!!! He saved me almost $400. He apologized for the delay. In my opinion, $400 more than paid for the hour delay. He didn't have to go through the extra trouble and I never would have known the difference. I agree with many of the other comments regarding the wait in the drive-thru. When there are cars ahead of me I just turn my car off and wait. I go here because it is close to home. the wait inside ins't usually too bad. I think they just need more staff. Whenever I have gone inside the employees are helpful and courteous and the store is very clean. It is better than other Walgreen's I have to been to with regard to cleanliness. read more

What people don't understand is that when customers take their scripts to be filled it takes time for the RPH or (a Pharmacist) to review it and make sure YOU are getting the correct Medication. There are many many many other medications coming in at the same time from doctors around the city. The technicians make sure they have the right drug and must count and double count even triple count YOUR meds. So imagine counting 180 little pills in a timely manner. You people are ignorant and selfish. If you don't like the service that these people give you then go somewhere else. Its not their fault that they are short staffed. OBVIOUSLY PEOPLE ARE LAZY AND WANT AN EASY JOB. so put yourself in their shoes and see what it's like for a day. These people try their best to help you but once YOU get in YOUR moods, it affects them and their day. I would like to see YOU do their job for one day. Another thing, all the people who want their norco and or Percocet need to calm down. Do you know how many patients there are in this pharmacy alone? Many many many many!!!! It saddens me to have to complain about Walgreens as I am usually such a fan. I called early in the day to ask that a very important medication be transferred from my old Walgreens location out of state to this specific location. They told me they could see it in the system but it required an additional call to complete the transfer. That's understandable and I waited for it to be complete. I waited all day, and nothing happened. Usually I will get a text or call or email letting me know my prescription was ready or that there had been a delay. I specifically told the person that I was completely out of medication and she said she'd get on it right away. Finally, I called in and they told me that nothing was in the system and no one had been called. So the person I spoke with early just pretended to be helpful, and the person I talked to in the evening said she'd call tomorrow because who cares? I have never had this experience with Walgreens and I am very disappointed, bordering on angry. I'm honestly not someone who expects to be catered to, nor do I complain if I have to wait. I just cannot for the life of me understand how people can provide such half hearted, lazy service when they are dealing with another person's medication. Our lives depend on it! I will be moving my mom's pharmacy needs to another non-Walgreens pharmacy immediately. My mom picked up an antibiotic that she needed to start immediately. When she got home she realized the pharmacist gave her the WRONG prescription!!! By the time she got home the pharmacy on Lemmon had closed. We called the 24 hour pharmacy on Virginia and the pharmacist and store manager said that there was absolutely nothing they could do and suggested I take my mom to the emergency room to get another prescription. She is in pain and suffering and the last thing she needs is to be dragged into the emergency room to wait. Her condition is painful but not life threatening. I even offered to drive to my mom's, pick up the wrong bottle and receipt with a time stamp that is exactly the same as when the pharmacist said she picked up the other one and drive that to the 24 hour location so they could exchange it for the right one. Again, there was absolutely nothing that could be done so now she is forced to wait in pain until the Lemmon pharmacy opens at 8am. The manager stated that there was no one available at all of Walgreens at 10pm that could approve the exchange. I cannot believe that a fellow human being is being made to suffer because of someone's mistake and the company in error is doing nothing to correct their mistake and take ownership. I purchased a visa money card there and didn't realize until 2 days later had been sold the display with no card in it. Panicked I went back hopping it would/could be fixed, worried it couldn't. First of all this Walgreens drive threw is so slow that wait for each car is minimum 20 mins and when u approach the window they have u wait longer increasing the time waited. Last time I came to pick up a prescription they argued with me that it's was located at a different Walgreens when this is the one I've always come too regardless of the wait time. Not only did I go back to the Walgreens 3x for my meds and was told it would be 45 min, but they ultimately lost my order for the most common medication, a zpack. If I could I would give them a zero their Pharmacy is always messing up orders never getting prescriptions on time having to reorder them. And the wait time to get your prescriptions is absolutely ridiculous the drive-through takes at least 20 minutes per car. And the Walk up counter is no better. They send you automated messages saying her prescriptions ready you wait in line come down here and then they tell you no it's not and they don't know why it sent you a message. If I could give zero stars I would. I called ahead at this pharmacy to see if they had the typhoid vaccine. Very few places do. They did. So I asked if they took my insurance. They did. I came in to get the vaccine (along with flu and meningococcal). There was a long line but that's not terrible for time of day I came in. I waited. My turn came and I said what I needed. I was told they are not allowed to give meningococcal vaccine because I have no health issues. Even though that is a heavily recommended one for traveling abroad. So I thought oh well. The only required one is typhoid. She types in my insurance information and says my insurance wont cover walgreens because they are not contracted. Even though I had already been told by them it would be covered. I leave and call my insurance. They say they cover it. I go back to this location (45 minutes from my home) to see what's going on. I am told "nothing we can do". Even if my insurance is on the phone telling them they can they refuse to give me the vaccine. The service I was given was mediocre. They did not offer to help me fix the error or tell me other locations that might have this vaccine. They did not apologize for the miscommunication or their computer error. read more

This store is one of the reasons YELP NEEDS a NO STAR rating. The store is clean and conveniently located, but that's about all the positive things I can say about it. I use coupons every now and then (I am NOT an extreme couponer, by any means) and have had a difficult time every single time I've gone into this store. THIS MUST BE THE MOST COUPON UNFRIENDLY Walgreens in Reno. The managers and cashiers, with the exception of the really young one cashiers, are always suspicious. In fact, I had one cashier ask me if I COPIED my coupons!! RUDE. Their system rarely ever follows the advertised specials. For example, there was a Happy Cash promotion one week - you buy $50 worth of goods, you get $10 Happy Cash, you buy $25, you get $5 Happy Cash. I made a $50.00 purchase and got $5 Happy Cash. There's no arguing with the cashier or manager because their disdain for couponers is tangible and won't do anything to help you, even if you point out the advertised special/price. I only go here when I absolutely have to, such as a quick run for meds when it's unavailable elsewhere. I prefer the Walgreens on Oddie, or anywhere else for that matter. read more
