Went to Walgreens for a return from a Shark/Ninja product. I selected this store because it was listed as no box no label. I get there and the woman refuses to box my items. My baby is crying. There's literally a box and tape right next to her. She's wanting me to buy a box but it's 4x the size of what I need plus I'd have to buy packing materials to do that. A kind vendor that overheard what happened offered me packing materials. There's not even a way to change the store to somewhere else so I have to ship here. I Walk to a store down the street who also doesn't sell the right size box. The worker at the other store very kindly offered me an inventory box and I got packaging from the kind vendor. ... would've taken the Walgreens employee 30 seconds to help me and no cost to the company to help me out. She also had no intent of contacting anyone to help resolve the issue for future customers. Will stay away from this Walgreens in the future. read more

Writing this review while I'm in my car in the pharmacy line. Been here 45 minutes with just 2 cars ahead of me. Called at 9am to request refill. Had to wait on hold for 1hour. 7 hours later prescription still was not ready. So I called again. Waited on hold for another hour. Said it would be ready in 30 minutes. Two hours later it still wasn't. Finally was now 9 hours later and I'm in a line. These are my mom's medications. They run out the day before and she is supposed to take 5 a day. And I don't get them until the evening. Despite all my efforts. This place is horrible. read more

The friendly service I got from the Pharmacy Manager Carla today was great. I had to call around to find a Pharmacy that had the urgent medication I needed. Carla took my call, filled my prescription, and had it ready to go in under the 10 minutes it took me to drive there. There was no wait in the drive thru lane as well. It has nothing to do with his store, but the Walgreen's "system" to refill RX, or automatically refill is confusing and is not consistent. I will usually get conflicting emails and push notifications. I have just become accustom to waiting 3 or 4 days after they are supposed to be ready and hope for the best. read more

This is the worst Walgreens I've ever had to pick up prescriptions from. They lose the prescription every time or if they do miraculously have it on record they haven't started it yet and will tell you it will be twenty minutes and then you wait there for an hour before you get it. I ordered pictures and there was the main part cut off. I mentioned it to the sales associate and she made it sound like it was my fault and that I had to pay for it. This is not the only time there has been issues. I tried to email the customer service number for Walgreens since the store was not helpful and they say satisfaction guaranteed, but they put it back on the store. You need to hire more people. The service is awful the wait time takes sometimes 5 to 6 hours and you wait 10 minutes on the phone. There's like three employees at this location it is ridiculous. I'm changing the CVS they have more employees there. Plus your app doesn't work either it says prescriptions are filled and they're not. I don't ever leave negative reviews on yelp, but when a company is so incompetent that it affects the health of their patrons, something has to be said. Today is the 14th month in a row that my monthly medication has not been filled on time. I call every month and make sure my medication has been ordered, and month after month I am lied to, given contradicting information, and am disrespected and belittled by the pharmacist. They have two pharmacists at this location, and both are rude, unhelpful, disrespectful, and incompetent at their job. Multiple times over the past 14 months I have ended up in the EMERGENCY ROOM because the pharmacists refused to fill my prescription on time. I am beyond disgusted by the pathetic business practices of this Walgreens. If your insurance allows you to pick up prescriptions anywhere other than Walgreens, I would recommend you go elsewhere. Spoke to a women yesterday- she was rude and had terrible customer service. Kept me on hold for 15 minutes the first time then I had to hang up and recall the pharmacy. Then when she finally answered her reply to me was " I'm trying to dob5 things at once hold on!" Being that I was in no rush and I had been holding for over a half an hours at this point I don't think that was her best thing to say to me. Then she proceeded to tell me my doctor isn't authorized to prescribe me my medications that I've been picking up for months and month- so clearly she has zero idea what she was looking at and talking about. So here's the thing. Walgreens pharmacies, in general, are the busiest pharmacies in this town. (Meaning, cut them some slack). They're contracted with all the 17+ hospice agencies, one of them is the only 24/7 pharmacy in this town, and they're always slammed. Compared to other pharmacies in this town, namely CVS, I will always choose Walgreens because typically their customer service is much much much better, even with as busy as they always are. Case in point. I have a prescription that I discovered is a non-formulary with my insurance. Also unfortunately, my insurance is not contracted with Walgreens, and is unfortunately contracted with CVS. I'm not sure how it happened, but Walgreens was offering me a cash price that was actually lower than the cash price at CVS. When I called Walgreens to confirm their price, they also reminded me that my good RX card had expired and that if I signed back up, I would probably be able to get the drug for a very deep discount. All CVS said to me was "check with your insurance." So rather than a $200 prescription, I have a $45 prescription. read more

I've been inconvenienced by them on multiple occasions. Twice now I have gotten alerts that my prescription was ready to pick up just for them to tell me that they never received the prescription from my doctor. I'm not sure if it's poor communication or they are just very unorganized. This review is of the pharmacy. Caveat: I am A pharmacist. I have worked retail. I know how things operate and all the demands placed on the pharmacy staff. That being said, this Walgreens SUCKS. Every time I go in, they are inefficient and backed up. They have no clue how to prioritize work. So inefficient. I had an allergy they could have called to clarify but instead waited for me to show up (after getting a call it was ready) only to wait in line 10 minutes, then be told it wasn't filled because of an allergy to something distantly related...so now that I was there to talk about it they could fill It and I could come back in 2 hours. Meanwhile there's a huge line and the person in the drive thru asks the technician to do their grocery shopping basically. I had always been a loyal Walgreens patron but no longer! read more

Walgreens Northwest Reno I went to this store to pick up photos that had been routed to this store by my friends and relatives because it is an easy pickup location and also has good photo processing. The orders were under my name so I could easily access them but all were ordered by other folks. The manager rudely commented to me that all these were free orders in my name. She remarked this several years ago and I reported the incident. If this is the type of management that is condoned at this store, I will be sure to shop at a different location from now on. read more

It's amazing that pharmacies are allowed to operate the way they do. They are always out of stock of my medicine and never have an update to give me. A lot of medication is keeping people alive or mentally sane. Going days without medication because "you ran out and you're not sure when the manufacturers will send it is not acceptable. The pharmacist and pharmacy should be held legally reliable if something happens to patients because they are inept at logistics and can't proactively have medicine on hand. read more

I've never been met with such blatant unprofessionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction. I scheduled a drive through covid test well in advance, showed up in the drive through five minutes early as instructed by the email, and then waited over 20 minutes in a hot car to get to the window. It was still 15 minutes before they close for their lunch break. Once we got to the window, the lady told us that the tester had already left for lunch without checking for any appointments and that we should have come 30 minutes in advance even though there was no mention of that anywhere in the confirmation email or website. What is the point of an appointment (especially a potentially high risk one) if no one honors it and people leave early for their lunch breaks with no regard for customers? We were sent away without an offer for rescheduling or fixing their mistake. I can't believe the way we have been treated and would not recommend this pharmacy for any reason. read more

Terrible customer service. This place deserves ZERO stars. I drove across town to pick up a FedEx package for my wife, and because my driver's license was from out of state, Melanie refused to give me the package. Even though I had the tracking number and my surname matched the shipping label. I tried to explain we had recently moved to Reno, but she became belligerent and kept repeating "the addresses don't match". Well, duh, I just told you I'm new here. Do you really think a stranger would just happen to have the correct tracking number and their correct surname...AND try to steal a package like this? Really? I recently had a very disagreeable visit to the pharmacy at the Walgreen's in northwest Reno that I need to share. Yesterday I had an appointment with my surgeon for a post-operative exam. As a result of some things he found, I was given a prescription for an antibiotic and also a pain medication. At about 5:00 he sent the script for the antibiotic electronically but I needed to hand-carry the one for the pain med. Arriving at Walgreen's around 5:30, I presented them with the pain script, but told them I didn't need it right away and that I would pick it up the following day. However, (because I had an abscess and was running a fever) I told them I needed the antibiotic and would wait for it. They confirmed receipt of the prescription and said it would be twenty minutes, during which time I could browse in the store. They would page me as soon as my prescription was ready. I browsed around the store, went out to my car, made a few phone calls. Finally, I returned to the pharmacy waiting area and did some texting. A pharmacy clerk asked if I was waiting for a prescription and I said yes. She asked me my name and date of birth and promptly disappeared. A few minutes later I was asked the same questions by a different clerk. Looking at my watch I was surprised to realize I had been waiting over an hour. This clerk checked with the pharmacist and said, "The pharmacist didn't know you were waiting for the prescription. She thought you said you wanted to pick it up tomorrow. At that point, I needed to clarify which prescription they were filling. I explained that there were two new prescriptions in my name. "You ARE filling the one for the antibiotic, aren't you?" The clerk looked it up in their computer. "Yes, it's for.." and read me the components for my pain med. So at that point I realized I had just waited over an hour for a prescription that Walgreen's was not even filling. In addition, I was shocked that the pharmacy clerk couldn't tell the difference between an antibiotic and a narcotic. Irritated, I explained again it was the antibiotic I wanted and the clerk went to speak with the pharmacist again. When she returned, she said they had only JUST received the transmitted prescription (the same one that an hour before another clerk verified they had received) and that it would be about twenty minutes. Based on this pitiful performance, I'm going to transfer my prescriptions out of Walgreen's. Anyone thinking of going to this location for prescriptions should be forewarned! read more

One star is too generous. I was relieved to see all of the horrible reviews so I knew it wasn't just me. Terrible experience and I agree with what others said about complete incompetence. I have never had a pharmacist tell me to "stop" in the middle of explaining my son's medications. Wow! Definitely need to fill somewhere else. read more

This place is a clown operation. Text me my prescription is ready, show up, its not due to some invented error they claim the doctor made when calling it in. I ask why they did not call the doctor back to recify this (they had 24 hours to do so) and they shrugged their shoulders. I guess the people who round up the bottom of the Pharmacy classes end up in Nevada. I know Reno is a dump but Walgreens is a national chain. Do better. read more
