usually don't waste my time leaving reviews, but after what I've been through two days in a row at this pharmacy, I feel like I have no choice. If they won't hear me in person, then I'll make sure I'm heard here. This experience was not just frustrating -- it was exhausting, humiliating, and disrespectful of my time, health, and basic needs. I went to pick up my prescription on my lunch break -- which is the only real meal I get in my day -- because I needed my medication to feel better and function. Instead of helping me, the staff gave me attitude for a mistake they made, wasted over 20 minutes of my time, and then told me I'd still need to wait longer while they "check with my doctor." Why even have the prescription in the first place if you're not going to fill it? So not only did I miss my lunch, but I also left without my medication. My time clearly meant nothing to them. The attitude, the lack of urgency, the dismissiveness -- it felt like, "Let's just get rid of you, we don't care." That's how they treat people here. And it didn't end there. I was so frustrated I called Walgreens online support afterward. Same story. They acted like they cared, said I'd get a call back -- nothing. I called again around 9 PM, sat on the phone until about 9:20, only to be told they "can't escalate" because they close at 9. So why was I even on the line with them? Why waste my time again just to tell me it's too late? So here I am -- needing to take my medication before bed because otherwise I'll wake up dizzy and sick -- and I still don't have it. I even called another pharmacy to see if they could help, but they didn't have it in stock. All of this chaos was caused by Walgreens' mistakes, but I'm the one who had to pay for it. I'm the one who had to be "understanding" while they dismissed me, wasted my time, ruined my day, and left me without the medication I need to function. What hurts most is that Walgreens used to stand for something. I trusted this company. I even once wanted to work here because of its history and values. But after this? It's clear Walgreens isn't about people anymore. It's about profit, shortcuts, and pretending to care while patients suffer. The Round Rock pharmacy team at store #799 has been careless, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional. And corporate support wasn't any better. Walgreens failed me on every level today -- as a customer, as a patient, and as a human being. At this point, I finally understand why people are switching to CVS. read more

I don't like leaving low-star reviews unless things are really atrocious. This one is almost there. It's actually a two and a half star review, but I honestly can't bring myself to round it up to three. It's not that this is a terrible Walgreens. I'm truly glad it was there because my girlfriend needed something over the counter in a hurry late one night and they were still open. But when you drive up 15 minutes before closing and the exterior and entrance lighting makes you think it's already closed, that's kind of off-putting. Seriously, I almost didn't go in because there are already signs half blocking the door. But yet they were in fact open. Also when you walk in trying to make a quick purchase knowing the store employees want to get out of there on time, and they are unhelpful in locating an item quickly, that's off-putting. I think one of the problems is that they're trying to run this store with too few staff In a busy area of town on two major arterials. Add to that that that it's kind of hard to access the business coming northbound on Grand Avenue, and you get the picture I'd rather be anywhere else. And to think I passed up a more convenient CVS for this. C'mon Walgreens! Whatever happened to your Good To Great legendary image? Not recommended. read more

I have been going here for years. But it has changed recently. They were very snippy and rude about a mistake my doctor made with a prescription. They put me on hold for over 10 minutes. Do NOT get a COVID-19 test done here- the test with the longest result time is supposed to be *up to 72 hours* to receive your results, and now 5 days after doing the COVID test, the lab has just received my sample from this Walgreens, and will take another 24 hours to review and get results back. They also provided the instructions to get into the lab's patient portal, but failed to include the requisition number anywhere, so I had to call to request that, and they would not provide any information about progress or current anticipated timeline to receive results over the phone, which I now understand why, because that would have required someone to tell me that they hadn't even bothered to send my sample yet. My husband got tested through Curative the day after I did mine at this Walgreens, and he got his results the following day, so he got his results well before my sample even arrived at the lab. These people lied about my prescription for my daughter. They didn't fill the script the way the doc wrote it and wouldn't listen to me when I told them they were wrong. The insurance called them- still nothing. After a small fit they apparently changed their mind and gave me what I needed all along. I'm changing locations now. They should have more time to mess around. read more

I took my 17 year old to get his second covid vaccine today.I made a mistake because his appt was Monday but I went Tuesday.While we were in line someone was turned away for their vaccine appt because of covid exposure.They refused to work us in and said they were booked solid.I mentioned the appt that they cancelled right in front of me and they still said they couldn't help us.I know that it was my Mess up but we both know that there was an empty spot and the eight thing to do wouldn't been to at least try to help your customer.I think they were rude and inconsiderate.Sometimes people don't help others simply because they don't want to. read more

Update: My friend who had the same disposable and sent them in to another Walgreens location's photo department was also destroyed. This outside vendor you guys use to develop the cameras all destroy your customers photo roll in transit. I wasted money and many Christmas photos that I won't ever get back. read more

Worse experience ever!!! The pharmacist gave me the wrong allergy meds, I ask for Zyrtec and they gave me generic. I waiting for her to correct her mistake and she had an attitude making me uncomfortable. I start to drive off after being charged more money and saw she gave me a large bottle of 70 tablets. I stopped and went into the store and the clerk called a manager to the front who had body language as if he didn't want to be bothered. He look at my receipt and I had been charged twice for 30 tablets. I told him I had been given a bottle of 70 and I'm here to refund this for the 30 tablets. He took a deep breath tapped on his computer, tossed the receipt to me and walked off. As soon as I left the lights went off and I sat in my truck to write this review then the lights came back on. I will never come here again and switching any future prescription to another location!!! read more

I went to the Doctor today with a head cold so he gave me a prescription to fill. So I went to the local Walgreens to get it filled. I like Walgreens they have become the local 7-11 store you find or every other corner these days. The have a lot of stuff from food to drugs, for drugs they are great. The pharmacy section is top notch and today they took about 15 minutes to get my prescription out. I pick up some other stuff while I was waiting. I noticed they have specials with some good prices but if you were just going in to pick up something you would pay a lot more than you would at the local grocery story, same at 7 &11. I see they are putting out their Christmas stuff and they seemed to have upgraded their candy with some better options. So now not feeling very well I got my stuff paid and went home. Would I go back? Yes hopefully not because I am sick. read more

Everyone at this pharmacy is so friendly and accommodating! They go out of their way to make sure you understand everything. I look to them for recommendations when I need help with OTC medications. Had to visit this Walgreens twice today (Easter Sunday) for OTC medications and then prescription medications. All of the employees were extremely friendly and helpful! The pharmacist and pharmacy tech were great and filled the prescription in about 10 minutes. I feel like some people can be grumpy while working holidays but I felt no negative energy here. As a matter of fact, I left with medications, leggings, a magazine, and a DVD of the Goonies. haha The speedy and friendly customer service was awesome and I really appreciate those that have to work on holidays! read more

I have no strong feelings about this Walgreens, but it is the closest one to my house so I go pretty often for random things. There's also a redbox in front, so I'll stop by for that service too. I've gotten AMAZING deals here ($2 for fancy laundry detergent?) which I was totally not expecting from a Walgreens, but I've also stood in line for quite a while too. One of my favorite stores. I'm a regular, and have to say this is the most professional pharmacy staff I've ever encountered. I had a serious medical issue and their now pharmacy manager Nicole helped so much that I wrote to the corporate offices. They always have special pet visit deals every year to get your pet treated without having to pay an arm and a leg. Consistently, the best pharmacy and employees! A+ and will be a regular. Can't say the same for CVS with their overpriced junk and horrible staff that is rude and condescending. Ask for Nicole in the pharmacy if you ever need a little extra help, advice or care. The Pharmacy itself has been great but the front of house staff and manager have been rude or seem like they hate their job. There's one checkout lady who always talks about how using mobile payment is unsafe when technically Apple Pay and Android Pay are slightly more secure than chip and pin. read more

Pharmacy hung up on me six times in a row. If you post hours when you're on lunch, then stick to them. I called the first time at 1:15pm well before hour posted break hours. If you're busy just say so and put me on hold or even ask me to call back later, but it is the height of being unprofessional to hang up on a customer, six times in a row no less. Its okay, the pharmacy went being very good, to your prescription isn't ready, it's being verified, delayed for more than 3 days.Same prescription for over 10 years. No reason why. I spoke with the prescribing doctor, No one from the pharmacy contacted his office, and there is no reason verification. Getting the prescription filled used to take less than 10 minutes if they weren't busy maybe 45 to an hour if they were busy. This verification process is used by Walgreens to eliminate fraud/Abuse in pain medications due to their high addiction potential and only for pain. FYI: My prescription is not for pain. read more

I went into Walgreens looking for an item in a series that I was unable to find. As I searches for the item, I was greeted by the manager who asked if she could help in any way. I advised her yes and what I was looking for. She informed me of the stocking situation and the way things come in and can be ordered. I thought I was going to have to continue my search elsewhere when she suggests that the item could be ordered online and have it shipped directly to the store for free. She even went as far as to offer up a discount, so I ended up paying less than I would have if I had ordered it through Amazon.. Five stars for the people who always seem to go above and beyond to help in the pharmacy (especially Ysabella), but 0 stars to the Walgreens staff at the register, especially Nancy. I'm sure she's kind, but every single visit she adds 3-5 minutes to my checkout (her personal too-long stories, fine) usually because she is critiquing items I'm buying, aloud, in front of other customers, even if there is a line. Today was the last straw. I was standing in the 'Family Planning' aisle holding my baby, she walks out of the back, and immediately starts telling me why I should not be buying the pregnancy tests I'm buying (Walgreens brand) based on her 'family's 37-year medical background / their advice'....'you don't want a false reading'. She has NO idea what my circumstances are; I did not ask for her advice. I told her 'I'm fine', turned my back to her, and she kept talking. I wish she would stop calling out the things I'm buying. It's embarrassing and infuriating, it keeps happening, and it is for this reason I am begrudgingly moving to the CVS. Discretion should be standard. read more

Experienced some troubles at the pharmacy; I've had great service on occasion, but lately they seem understaffed and if they're in a hurry, that extra step when you require a little help and understanding won't likely be met. You should already have a complete understanding of which medications are now considered "controlled" even if they haven't been before. You could be "red flagged" if you come in 3 days early to pick up such a script (on my only day off - a Saturday). You may not get your script refilled, like me (for a sleep aid, not a narcotic) even if your insurance has approved it. I do understand the pharmacists have protocol for filling scripts, but I do not appreciate that I waited around for the refill, then was told to come back later because it would take too long to refill, then I was called an hour later proclaiming that my script was too early to refill at 27 days. They should have immediately known all of this information upon looking at their computer and seeing me (at the counter), my medication, its renewal, date of original fill, etc. I wasted a whole morning. I personally don't understand having to wait until the last day to pick up a script - I have a job and a busy life (like the rest of the world) - and I didn't ask for a refill in week 1, or two, after it was filled. Who's to blame? I don't know. What I experienced was a busy and flustered pharmacist who explained very little to me; I had to search the internet for more info, but only saw posts regarding heavy duty drugs, like narcotics (no judgement) and others who complain about early refill issues. My main issue is how I felt during my attempt to pick up my order, the matter and time in which it was handled, and overall education of the government's new policies. I wish Walgreens had been more patient and forthright. ***This review regards the pharmacy only, since it's my primary reason to shop at one. I think pharmacy workers likely have a thankless job, albeit very important, but I don't want to bear the brunt of their frustrations. So, guess what? I had my grocery store's large pharmacy call Walgreens, transfer the script and fill it, resolving my issue, and I got my grocery list tackled at the same time. :) ***Regarding, the rest of the Walgreen's store: clean with helpful, very friendly associates, and a variety of novelty and "as seen on tv" items, health/wellness items, and a fair amount of noticeably overpriced items (store overhead costs I'd imagine). The same Walgreen items are often cheaper at Drugstore.com, (which may or may not be their sister or parent store). I recently downloaded the Walgreens app. I was excited with the recent add that had lots of bogo offers as well as lots of great coupons. When I entered the store, the items I was interested in were not marked as on sale. I asked the cashier if she could explain the ad (select items bogo 1/2 off). She could not. She made a few guesses then decided she would honor the ad and give me the discount I understood from the ad. I probably spent an hour trying to make sense of the sales as nothing matched the app. I double checked the fine print and all offers were suppose to be available in store and online. When I was ready to check out the cashier was stumped once again. I needed to pay with 2 cards but she did not know or care to ask how to process such a transaction. It's possible. I've done it many times...and at this store. At this point I was done. Left my items on the counter and went to my trusty HEB. Ad was not specific, employee was not knowledgeable of merchandise or sales, lack of training. Please step it up WG. read more

My wife gets her prescriptions filled at this Walgreens. Recently I waited to have her pain medication prescription filled. When it was ready I paid for the prescription along with an OTC pain medication. I was handed a bag and left. Upon arriving at home I found the OTC medication had not been in the bag. I called and spoke with a woman in the pharmacy and she laughed as she said she was expecting a call. No apology. She said she had forgotten to pack it. So I had to make another trip. Not happy. When I got home my wife let me know that the information sheet attached to the pain medication prescription was for a vaginal cream... Seems that incompetence is a laughing matter at this Walgreens. read more

This could be one star or no stars if reviewing the pharmacy. No offense, but in all honesty, you don't seem to like your job. Any of you in the pharmacy. I have submitted requests for refill, no one ever tells me why it's not filled until I stop to get it or call. When I'm there you are grumpy and rude. I live with chronic pain, am a cancer survivor and I'm sure other who are in the midst of health battles also have to put up with your crappy attitude. Maybe it's Walgreens, maybe it's the job. I have a friend who is a Walgreens pharmacist, in another state, at least she does her job with compassion and a smile. I've seen it. Just remember people who don't feel well come to see you. Be kind, be polite, go the extra step and you might like your job better. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I rarely write reviews... but I'm sick and tired of every Walgreens pharmacy staff being short, rude, curt, or not even smiling ever. Get over yourself and be a nice human! Stay away from Walgreens at this location if you need passport photos taken, they charge way too much. Me and my wife needed 8 photos each for a application, we were charged $100+ while other stores charge a fraction, so far best place to go would be Costco, $20 for same quantity of photos or even CVS pharmacy they are more reasonable.. read more
