Wildly practical and simultaneously dangerously good for when you're just browsing... or at least you think you are just browsing! The seasonal aisle is my go-to for the fun stuff. I also grab hair clips, shampoo, nail polish, greeting cards, gifts, snacks. I utilized the photo center recently for a few prints and the ordering process and pickup experience were seamless. It evoked memories of the old days when we blindly snapped photos on 35mm, not getting to find out for sometimes days or even weeks how silly or cool we looked. But I digress. 5/3/26 I had to visit this location because the pharmacy on Willott / Jungermann was unexpectedly closed. I tried to call Mid Rivers / Mexico pharmacy, was on hold for 10 min. although there was only 1 caller ahead of me. I took the call back option, when they called back they hung up after two rings. I called again, I drove to the location, which is 10 minutes away, and they still had not answered. Totally unacceptable!! On flip side pharmacist was very helpful and was able to transfer meds to this location. She was excellent! read more

Copied email correspondence with Walgreens manager @ Mid Rivers; 10 days to fill a prescription.... And your response is to better coach your staff. 30 days later, and here you are doing the same thing. I had knee replacement surgery this morning and received 3 prescriptions for pain management. You filled two of them, and here I am (once again) waiting for a prescription to be filled. Can you imagine somebody taking out your knee and withholding your pain medication? I can. Are you doing this on purpose, or do just not care enough to properly serve your customers? read more

I have been using this location for over 20 years and have always had a good experience, however in the past year I have experienced several times they were unable to refill my order before it ran out. I have had to go as long as 4 days without my medication. I'm not sure if the problem is a change in personal, management, or off-site filling of orders. We have one now that we are completely out of. It was supposed to be filled yesterday. I have been on the phone now for over 2.5 hours on hold with the recording saying 3 in front of me. I cannot believe it takes this long to talk to a pharmacist. Not very customer oriented. Again, this store has been awesome for over 20 years. I came in and there was a older gentleman that said photo associate on his name badge, there was no physical name, he was very pleasant he was greeting everyone as they walked in stating "welcome to Walgreens", and greeting everyone with a smile. I was only up there for a few moments but if there was more than one person in line he was paging for another cashier to come to the front to use the other register. John came up and assisted him and was also very pleasant and had me checked out under a minute and on my way while also having a conversation with me about my day. One of the best Walgreens I've been in everyone was just so pleasant and friendly. read more

Larger with more stock/selection than my closer Walgreens... They had larger bottles (200 softgel capsules) of flaxseed oil. Plus- they had more than 1 of the K2 bottles (important when they are "buy one- get one free" PLUS magically some of my rewards points were available!!! This was the first A-OK transaction with Walgreens I had in months (other than prescriptions). read more

This store is so convenient for me it's right off midrivers mall drive next to schnucks and post office and mall! They are nice and helpful to me when I need them to find products on sale or checkout. Open late and you can use points here to get better discounts on your order. This is a ok Walgreens. Just the pharmacy is always out of medication. Would it really hurt our community if they had staff who could say the name of the medication. And actually know information about that medication. If you need a flu shot or any other kind of shot educate the pharmacy department so they can actually explain to our seniors what day and time to return to receive those shots. They could speak to the seniors with more respect. I give them 4 stars. They need to do better. read more

The pharmacy at the Walgreens at 94 and Muegge rd are nuts The pharmacist,Irene, changed my prescription. Not only would she change my doctors prescription, but when Irene disagreed with my doctor, she would deny my medication completely!! She even stated "I have the right to override the doctor" I am also reporting her to the state licensing board I ow get my prescriptions at CVS They are excellent and they don't question my doctor read more

This location was no help in refilling a prescription. The day before running out, they tell me they are out of stock. Their only solution was for ME to call around to try and find another pharmacy that could fill my prescription. It took me 3 phone calls to do so. I stood in line to pick up a prescription for my wife and was told that the pharmacist had to bag the prescription and it would be ready in two or three minutes. Fine, and I sat down to wait immediately across from the counter. Forty minutes later, one of the people behind the counter, a nice young African American lady, noticed me and asked if she could help me. She retrieved my wife's prescription, and who knows how long it had been sitting back there, but I was finally able to pay for the prescription. My wife had suggested I transfer my prescription to this Walgreens, and I can tell you there isn't a chance of that happening. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY!!! I went up today to pick up a pain medication refill & counted them prior to taking any bc I have been short the past few months.. & have been questioning family members. Well, I am 10 pills short on my 7.5 oxycodone! What type of pharmacist does that?? I cannot prove it, so I'm pretty much screwed. Just felt the need to let others know so the same doesn't happen to you. At the least I recommend checking the count on your meds in front of a staff member Before leaving. read more

Come on Walgreens, you're one of my all-time stores. You have to remember that you are a convenience store. Convenience includes getting in and out of the store quickly. You have to improve on checkout speed. read more

As far as the store, I'm okay with this location. However, the pharmacy department is a complete mess. Twice I have had to deal with walgreens pharmacy screw ups and I'm none too happy about it. The first time my own doctor called in the prescription and when I arrived 15 min later they said they didn't even have it. Even though they told my doctor that they did and it would be 15 minutes to prepare. Luckily they had the off brand. The second time they left an automated message saying that my prescription was ready. Lo and behold, they didn't wen have it. It took around three days to get sorted out. The pharmacy staff were apologetic to a point and I didn't deal with any attitude. The store is clean and prices are okay. Walgreens no longer takes my insurance so I probably will not be going back. read more

I like this Walgreens. It is a larger store so the aisles are brighter and wider than in the newer Walgreens stores which have popped up all over St. Charles County MO over the last 10 - 15 years. The staff in all departments has always been helpful and courteous. I think the pharmacy staff is great. I've never experienced the issues the other Yelpers had, but I also am on pretty simple medications. Nothing too complex. The store is over 20 years old and it is kept up well by the employees. Prices are not as cheap as Walmart or Target but they are WAY better than what CVS just down the street tries to get away with. Walgreens also runs great weekly specials in their ads. That along with being a Balance Rewards member I frequently have at least a $5 or $10 Reward in my mobile wallet to use and what I wouldn't have spent at Walmart I can usually get close to with the ad offers and redeeming $5 in Rewards here and there. I like being able to go in, easily find what I need, and checkout quickly. The checkouts at this Walgreens always seem to be staffed with two cashiers at the times we go in most so the wait is not long at all. I would rather pay slightly more at Walgreens than wait in line forever at Walmart. This Walgreens has been a mainstay in our great community and it's nice to have them around the corner 24 hours a day for whatever we need. read more

I frequently shop at the Mid Rivers location, and I find the store to be clean and well staffed. Walgreens has good sales and I like the Balance Rewards program. I seldom use the drive-up pharmacy, because I usually need to pickup more items. However I did find the drive-up to be super fast and efficient last weekend when we had a heat alert; and it was oh-so-nice that it was not necessary for me to leave my car. Angie and Val from the pharmacy are so helpful and knowledgeable ... I always feel that I am in good hands when I get my Rx filled here. The store is a good size store, and there always seems to be an associate on the floor. Whether I need assistance retrieving an item from the top shelf, or I need assistance locating an item, a Walgreens staff member is always accessible. The cashiers are friendly and courteous. During busy times, they have more than enough registers open. Cosmetic counter and photo lab offer checkout, too. So I never have to wait long to checkout at this location ... which I cannot say for other retailers. Great store. read more
