Have Ulta stores become more crowded? The front half of this store has SOOO much going on. I've done most of my shopping online with Ulta, but I was curious to see if they had a particular brand in-store (couldn't locate it) so I switched my objective. I've been needing a new eyeliner and looked at the Ulta brand liquid eyeliner. I was browsing through the other aisles and an associate asked if I was looking for anything, and I asked for their recommendation for liquid eyeliners. They took me to the Lancome section to show me the Idole Felt Tip Waterproof Liner. I really loved the color payoff so I switched that. I also found a Kpop Demon Hunter face mask so I popped that in my little cart. Check out went smoothly, but the store feel overstuffed with brands was overwhelming so I might stick to online shopping. read more

Conveniently located off the highway, which I love! Great selection of merchandise and quality brands to choose from. What I do not care for is NOT being greeted after entering, and shopping, the store...twice!! The first time I entered, I stopped for a few minutes to shop the product display by the entrance. Then proceeded to walk down a nearby aisle (by the cash wrap). I slowly walked the entire store for 20 minutes and no one acknowledged me (I did see other guests being welcomed). I picked up a few products and asked if I could leave them at the cash wrap for a little bit. I returned shortly, started shopping for a second time, and STILL, no greeting, no acknowledgement. Extremely disappointing, as a frequent shopper. I decided NOT to purchase additional products from this location, and directed myself towards the cash wrap. The cashier (Ashlyn) was....meh. My checkout experience was not great, but it was not awful either. Overall, I did not feel welcomed at this location, my shopping experience was not memorable, additional training on proper customer service is essential and I am not returning to this location unless I have to. read more

This location is located right off interstate 70 in Saint Peters and shares a huge parking lot with many other businesses. It's nice that they have some close parking spots for people who are doing curbside pick up. There's also disabled parking and a ramp up to the curb at the business next-door. I visited on a Monday morning when it wasn't very busy. I was surprised it was a while before anyone offered to help me since other locations greet me the minute I walk in. The employees that did offer to help me were very helpful and friendly. This location has a huge selection that is well-organized. With that being said, sometimes it can be difficult to find things, and you may need assistance from an employee. They have all the big brands for hair, nails, make up and skin care. I like that they carry some smaller sample sized items before you make an investment in something pricier. Ulta has a good rewards program and you can have extra perks if you have a store credit card. read more

I am always very happy to call Ulta when I need product or brow service. I find the staff very knowledgeable and the product provided at a decent rate. My appointment was made over the phone for tint and wax. Arrived and found the store was in a large strip mall type of setting so the parking was abundant. Found a parking spot quickly and was inside in no time. I was not greeted when I came in and the two workers who I assume normally would were talking among themselves. The brow bar was off to the right ( not in the front of the store ) at this location. I was greeted kindly by Nala my esthetician who provided me with a tablet to read and sign off in the waiver. We discussed my product s to ensure I was not using retinol as it would have an affect on my service. I don't. She asked me what color I wanted and I explained I have my color on file. She reviewed and we were in our way. She was pleasant, knowable, professional and fast. The service was over in no time. I grabbed a few eye shadows, a brow pencil and checked out. After frequenting this ulta for new products here and there it's clear that customer service is -10/10 (exception to the ladies in MAC) the young girls who are associates do not greet or engage. When picking up an online order it was clear my powder had been opened and used. I showed the associate the powder and she acted shocked and said that was their last one in store. I asked for a refund and was met with attitude. This is not the first experience that has reflected poor customer service! I LOVE Ulta I hope this location is able to do better. read more

Today I walked in to Ulta and one of your employees named Zaria, (hopefully I spelt it correctly) immediately walked up to me with a smile and asked "Hi! Welcome to Ulta! Would you like a basket? Are you looking for anything in particular??" l asked her if she could help me find a clear lipgloss. She did a wonderful job at showing me which lip glosses that would work. She was extremely great at explaining each one in detail to me and openly telling me pros and cons. The woman who cut my hair was so nice and pleasant but my hair is not looking great. Idk what to do except wear a hat and grow it out. I asked to trim the nape and taper the bottom because I was trying to grow out my pixie that was already ruined by a previous stylist. I gave an example picture. So the Sunday before Christmas you can imagine how busy this store was. I needed one item and it was not a gift just something I use all the time. I'm going out of town in a week, I need the item, they have it, etc. I've never been to this location and after 2 loops I couldn't find it. I finally find a sales associate and she is super busy and overworked but she listens and points me in the right direction. Sure enough, there it is and I get in line. There were about 20 people in this line and I start contemplating whether or not it's worth it. I was actually checked out and out of there about 8-9 minutes later. They didn't have enough help on the floor but they had plenty of checkers. The parking lot here was madness! I'll be back but hopefully it won't be the Sunday before Christmas. read more

On the service road next to the highway, this is a very new store. It's brightly lit and well laid out, with an amazing selection of cosmetics! I went in with a gift card from my mother to pick out some new eyeshadows. I have been using the auto brand eyeshadows for about 10 years now. Over the years, the packaging has changed very little, but I've noticed that now the eyeshadows are smaller and the price is higher. The overall selection is much smaller, to my disappointment. They used to stock a lot of extras, but there was a shade of green I wanted called Under the Sea and there was only a tester available. I had asked one of the employees to take a look for me and she looked in the four large drawers that were at the bottom of the display, finding no extras. I went online while I was standing in the store and noticed they have the same sale; by three, get two free. The shade I wanted was available online, so I put it in my cart, along with the other couple of shades that I really liked. I also checked out concealers, blushes, and bronzers. I found a beautiful blush and gorgeous bronzer by Milani in-store that I also put in my online cart. I've long been getting the printed Ulta catalog via snail mail, which always has a coupon on the back. I knew I had one for $3.50 off of $15 and one for 20% off of one item, neither of which I had with me. One of the staff members let me know I could access a coupon on the Ulta website. I went to this wonderful store This past weekend just looking for a specific cologne and a perfume for me. First, immediately upon walking into the store I was greeted by the most Sweetest, professional and beautiful group of woman (appreciative of that) to where I began to go into the perfume area where I was immediately greeted by another wonderful lady by the name of Hailey, and she found the cologne I was looking for but then asked what scent I enjoy and she redirected me to whole different perfume that I never even would had thought to have even checked out. It was the perfect scent and I fell in love w it. This store is a little charm in St.Peters but it is absolutely bc of the woman that work inside it. These woman are hard working, professional and beyond friendly. I was so impressed. Keep up the good work ladies, you definitely make that store and it was NOTICEABLE... I saw Kelly James for a cut and color and she went above and BEYOND- to make my hair look so great and I have not stopped smiling since! She took the time to explain my options and the process that she was going to use to me so I felt very comfortable and pampered! It has now been a few weeks and my hair is still shiny, healthy and the cut looks even better (if that is even possible!) I love waking up to good hair days where I feel that I don't have to spend hours styling or using products to make myself presentable. She was able to color match with my previous outgrown color to help preserve my hair from any damage and she used expert techniques to blend my color resistant grey hair and make sure I had full coverage color with lots of dimension! My husband never makes much of a fuss over my hair but he was so impressed with how great she made me look he went to her for his hair cut and beard trim the following Sunday! Ulta Beauty is not only a fun store to get the latest in makeup but the salon is offering top notch services with expert stylists!!! I had grown out my curly hair for a while just so I could have a professional shape it. I didn't want much cut off at all and I was excited when I book a "curl by curl" cut feeling like I was finally going to someone that knew how to cut curly hair. I went in with pictures of exactly the shape I wanted and we talked it out for a while before getting started so I was hopeful. First off she washed my hair and went in cutting like it was a straight hair style. That's a no no with my hair but I assumed she was doing a light cut all over then would dry it and go curl by curl as the name of the cut suggested. She cut the entire back and I couldn't see what she was doing until she came around to the side and cut it so short I think I my eyes popped up out of my head. She must have seen my expression because she then assured me that it would be good since curly hair only shrinks 2 inches. I'm not sure how someone considered an "elite stylist" could get those words out of her mouth. My hair shrinks anywhere from 4-8" depending on the curl. My hair was so horrible that I absolutely couldn't do anything to fix it. I just had to try to shove it in a hat and wait for it to grow. It took a year and a half to get to a somewhat reasonable length again since my curly hair grows in spirals. It wasn't that I was being dramatic at all. Everyone I know cringed at the sight of my haircut. It was by far the worst hair experience and I do not want anyone to deal with that. read more

I've been to a few Ultas and they all seem to have the same employee. No sales experience. Their greetings are strained and try to get a thank you. Not happening. Some stores even have bazaar people working and don't seem to have a job other then chatting with each other. Another downfall is they are never stocked. The most popular item should always be available. Some of the skin care is more then OTC but no one is educated in its performance. I will say MAC is always covered and busy so if that's all you use you may be happy however low stock levels. Is anyone taking inventory. Or maybe make it automatic. Sorry but I'll go back to the department store. read more

The salesperson was insulting and rude. I was hoping for professional advice on products. Instead I was publicly insulted, he said my skin was so bad that the foundations they carry could not help me. I'm not sure if his insults were a sales tactic to sell lore products, I was so shocked at his comments I did just left. Jake was rude and unprofessional and couldn't change his energy after I tried to reset with him a few times; mostly so he doesn't mess up My brows. My first time at this location. I will never come back. I usually get my eyebrows waxed and tinted every 8wks. After calling stating i would be 8 minutes late for my appt, i asked if i would still be taken. I was told yes and they would relay it to "jake". Well as I get there 6 min late I get a call while im out front from jake that I need to reschedule. I explained i was told I was ok to come and was right out front. He gasps and says "fine come in". Then he remained abrasive and short with me. I told him forget the tint. I didn't trust he would be able to separate his feelings crom his work. Worst experience ever. Mind you today is my birthday and he ruined it. My eyes are mediocre at best. Sticking with my girls at the other location. Maybe get more then one person at the brow bar and give people a choice. read more

Had to chase a worker down to get help with a product. Happened twice where i bought something that got a free gift, and neither time they had it. First time she said "we're all out." Second time I asked her if I get a free gift, she says, "oh we don't have the gift. Want this trial mascara?" Workers do not seem to care about customers. I do not feel comfortable asking for help here. Went to check out and all the prices rang up wrong during the 21 days of beauty, almost paid $25 more than I originally should've. read more
