If they had a manager that actually knew what they were doing, the rest of the store would run a lot smoother. Well the pharmacist on site move so slow on processing the medication orders. While customers are waiting for vaccines I sure over 60 minutes, the pharmacist did not even process the order for the system. The initial order was entered over one hour ago. Got an email from Walgeen's asking if I wanted them to refill my prescription. Then got an email stating it had been filled. Went over several hours later to pick it up. First told they were in the middle of filling it did I want to wait 15 minutes? (Thinking: NO but do I have a choice, I'm here?! But told them politely I'd wait.) Check back 20 minutes later and they're just finishing up my order. Cashier tells me 'Oh I see here that we've made a change on brand of your medication. That's not a problem is it?' This time I didn't keep it to myself and responded 'What do you mean you've changed it again?' She said 'Uhm.....I don't know. That's what it says here.' Then the Pharmacist comes over and tells me that actually they had already changed 'HER' prescription in March, didn't change it again. So don't bother telling 'her' because it'll only confuse 'her'. Explained that actually I'M the her. Pharmacist had to have me explain it slowly that I was 'Mary' and no I wasn't at all confused! Explained change of brand causes MAJOR diarrhea. So Pharmacist goes oh it makes you nauseous and I told her again not confused definitely causes diarrhea! So while I now don't have to worry that they've gone and given me diarrhea by changing out the brand, AGAIN.....I do have to worry that a lying, disceiptful, easily confused, Pharmacist just filled my Prescription and doesn't think I need to know about any changes she may have made. Guess she doesn't know about The Patient's Bill of Rights! Avoid Walgreen's on Rosemead in San Gabriel, CA their Staff is confused and it may cause you major bouts of diarrhea just having to deal with the nauseating drivel spewing from their mouths! This place does the job as in selling things.. But the customer service isn't too great. The cashiers seem ready for their shifts to end but are occasionally friendly. The main issues are with the photo center. I've used this location 3 times and only 2/3 were satisfactory. The negative things were that my photo magnet the first time was ugly. The photo I chose was bent and wrinkled like the person putting it together rammed it in the frame. The other time was my film came back after more than 3 weeks when they told me 2-3 weeks. Then they told me they would call me to let me know to pick the pictures up. They never did. The pictures were also of terrible quality and pixelated (but that could have been due to the film). read more

This is for their fedex hub inside the Walgreens. I needed to return a package to walmart via FedEx. Already had the label just needed to drop it off at fedex. The moron employee said they couldn't accept the item. Said it was too big. It was a printer. The item was shipped via FedEx to me but I can't return it via FedEx due to size?? Um OK, am I missing something? Wouldn't take it and was of zero help. What a spaz. Took package over to the temple city postal center. They took package with no issues and said that as long as a shipping label is on it. There is no reason for FedEx not to take it. If you are dealing with FedEx avoid this Walgreens. The pharmacists, Alice & Amy, always help me when I have questions about the medication that I'm taking. In fact, they are more patient and giving a simple explanation than some of my doctors! The store manager couldn't find the item of the guess on the front, he spent 30 minutes looking. I asked him if he needed to ask another associate to help other guests (there are 4 other guests in line) so we don't have to wait for a missing item. I also told him that the cashier associate is not helping anyone. His answer is, we will take whatever it takes to find the missing item, and everyone elses need to stand in line after we find the item, so stand in line or leave. After a horrible experience at CVS on Baldwin in Arcadia, I decided I'm going to give this Walgreens a try. We called in a Rx over the phone, couldn't really hear the person on the phone from the pharmacy, because she had a mask on... When it was time to pick-up, I was expecting the run around like at CVS, total violation of HIPAA, have to yell out all your personal info and medication you are picking up. Not the best time if any of you guys want to get some Plan B pill or seeking hemorrhoids relief pill at the pharmacy counter right now. Also not the best time if you are an elderly who has COPD also with trouble of hearing. However, to my surprise, the pharmacist, only asked me to shout out the last name of the patient, from 6 ft away, and verify the prescriber doctor's name. She was fast and professional, and instructed me to use their app for future refills. There's also a drive-thru pick up window. Will be coming here for my Rx needs and will be recommending this place to my patients. read more

Not helpful. Seemingly dishonest about when they received my doctor's prescription. (I was on the phone with doctor when script was faxed but an hour later when I showed up they said they had just received it.) They completely close down for lunch? At a chain pharmacy? To top it off they were fifteen mins late returning from lunch. All of them. Shuffling in as a line of people waited. And their counters and monitors are disorganized and visibly dusty. Ohhhh yeah this place. For some reason i randomly stop off here and get all kinds of crap that I dont need. Dayem Red Box station that they have here is the reason I end up in here. *SMH* Ok the best reason to come here is that it is the only place around that "develops" film in house still... yeah shocking that I was developing film to me too... However I was doing something for my daughters school and thus being able to take in some photos for a couple hour turnaround (thus she could take developed photos from throwaway cameras) the next day, made a huge difference. They have a pretty friendly staff here and a fairly cleaned store. Its not the cleanest or best kept place, but definitely works for government standards haha Their parking lot is large enough to handle a good amount of cars and the drive through pharmacy window is handy if you need a prescription while you are on the go. They take all forms of payment and are quick to help. Overall its a great place. Hit them up and enjoy... or just cruise through if you want a Red Box. Also note that they have lots of sales after holidays etc where you can get stuff super cheap on clearance sales =) read more

I've tried CVS, Rite Aid and even makeshift grocery store type drugstores but nothing compares to Walgreens. Aveeno moisturizing soap, Palmer's cocoa butter lotion, wet and wild's 5000 colours that can't be found in the Revlon aisle, cocoa butter chapstick that smells soooo good, Garnier Nutrisse, Burt's Bees, Schick Quattro, Scunci hair bands and sooo much more. The seasonal aisle is always fun. Right now it's Halloween and they have some seriously cool shit. These rad little skeletons wrapping their arms and legs around a tinted glass tea light holder, gel-like bloody hand prints, yellowed creepy mummy coming out of the ground....pleh...just GO! After my terrible experience at a nearby Rite-Aid I decided to come here. The staff was friendly and helpful. Especially this one worker she was well groomed and pretty, just like the store organized and neat. There's a big parking lot NOT shared with banks or restaurants, thank goodness! Although I do pass by 3 CVS's on my way over here, at least I spend less time driving than lining up @ CVS. There are deals, and no need for those annoying "wellness" or "cvs" cards to scan. I love this pharmacy for it's convenient prescription drive thru and wonderful pharmacy staff. I have a disabled child and it has been a lifesaver. However, once they started doing covid testing in their drive thru I've been stuck waiting almost an hour to pick up her prescriptions. I have been coming to this Walgreen for many years. They have good customer services, especially the pharmacy. Recently, I am not sure what happen to the management. One of the lady told me the photo section close at 9pm. I understand that the photo section is close, but the store is not close. I just come and pick up pictures. The ladies told I cannot pick up at all. This is rule. If this is the rule , why they sent me text said the pictures are ready at 9:30.pm. The store is convenient and the staff is usually very helpful. I find the prices high compared to big box stores and that is understandable considering the higher costs of selling out of a smaller store with more service provided. The store does have specials and online specials that can be delivered to the store with no shipping charges so that some prices end up similar to big box stores. I also saw a 50% more size in something I use regularly so the price per ounce would be similar to that in big box stores. In general, the store seems well run and friendly. The pharmacy is usually pretty efficient and friendly. When they have three or four people working in there, things move along well enough even when it's busy. However, when they have only one pharmacist with no help behind the counter, it can be a long wait even though there aren't that many customers physically present. The manager needs to ensure that anytime a lone pharmacist is working at the pharmacy, she has support at all times or can call for help at any time. She is working the window, the phone, the counter, and the called in and routine prescriptions, as well as other administrative duties, I'm sure. There shouldn't be five workers in the store, two non-pharmacy customers wandering around, and one pharmacy customer waiting for 45 minutes for a shot while the pharmacist is juggling six or seven other requests that came in after the customer at the counter. If the pharmacist has no help, they end up making everyone wait longer and skipping the niceties, leaving some customers waiting far too long. It's not fair to the pharmacist or the customers. The pharmacist who waited on me today was quietly terse and cool, skipped the niceties, and left me feeling as though my time and word were not respected and as though I was a nuisance to her. While I believe that the failure of the manager to provide her with the practical support she needed was the main problem, it would have been possible for her to make eye contact, smile, say, "Hello", and say, "Please," "Thank you," and so on during the interactions. Also, if she's juggling several orders, she should at least give an indication of the expected wait time. I appreciate that she was probably heavily focused on accuracy and efficiency, and that is truly the most important thing. But, no matter how busy she is, she really must show outward signs of friendliness and more social signs of respect. In my eight or so experiences in this store, only one was negative due to the pharmacy being understaffed. I did get my needs met accurately and completely in the end but probably could have saved 20-30 minutes if the manager had assisted the pharmacist earlier. I did see the same pharmacist talk in a warm and friendly way with someone at the drive through and take the time to even make an extra nice comment or two. It looked as though she knew the customer. I would suggest that she treats every customer as a friend and petition the manager to give her more support behind the counter so that she can manage that more easily. The other experiences with this store and with the pharmacy were positive in terms of customer service. I sometimes work in this area and am glad to have this store as an option when I have prescriptions, vitamin needs, vaccinations, or product needs. The prices are similar to those at most pharmacies of this size, however. I have never had any medical mixups or problems with the actual prescriptions or inoculations at Walgreens and generally find it friendly and convenient. I have used other Walgreens stores in the past and found them friendly, reliable, and efficient. I do recommend the Walgreens pharmacy and feel that the issues I had today were related to the manager understaffing or not adequately assisting the pharmacy and due to this one pharmacist not realizing how important personal communication and respect for the customer's time is in each and every pharmacy visit. I believe she and the manager will both take these comments to heart and provide excellent service together. read more

Whenever I order photos from Snapfish, I always pick them up here. On all five occasions, it has never taken less than five minutes to get my photos, pay, and leave the store. Sometimes it takes upwards of ten minutes. It's usually because it's hard to find someone to help at the photo center. Also, my most recent pickup led to photos that were oversaturated.
