I am here to announce that I have graduated from Male Beauty 102, and moved onto the upper division courses. I have heard about Aritaum a few times on some Korean makeup gurus that I followed on YouTube, but I never really went into one until recently. I've learned that Aritaum is like a smaller scale version of a Sephora, with Korean brands, of course. I know there are a few scattered around LA, but I decided on the Focus Center one, because reviews seemed to give this branch better ratings on Yelp. Walking in, I was a little discouraged that the Men's line was a small bookshelf behind the column, at the same time, they did have a decent amount of men's items from Laneige and IOPE. I did end up purchasing a Laneige homme set, because I was debating about ordering it off-line or getting in store and I'm glad I bought it in person, as the online purchase doesn't have the travel size items. The cashier was nice and let me know about the membership. I decided to sign up for one, simply because I can see myself transferring my skincare from road side stores to more higher end products. (They also said the membership works at ANY Atritaum and Amore store, nothing like the other Korean skincare brands in LA). They were also nice enough to throw in a sample of the IOPE men's line for me, just to see if I like one brand over another. Would probably come back here from time to time as my products slowly deplete and maybe I'll pick up a few sheet mask during those times. NOTE: They have a $20 minimum CC transaction. read more

Although this store has been around for ages, I had never gone in as I always associated the brands inside with higher prices (which most of them are), but recently it has converted to an Aritaum to include more affordable products. That being said, the prices are competitive with those found on online, which is rare when buying Korean cosmetics in a physical store stateside. The sales associates were very nice. As I swatched tints on the back of my hand, one of them handed me a tissue. When she saw me pick up one of the products, she came up to me and told me it was part of a BOGO free promotion. Another sales associate offered me a basket to hold the items. Although it initially felt as if they were hovering, it was more that they were being attentive rather than treating me as a potential thief. Lastly, they were kind enough to include samples. The sales associate even took time to explain how the products are to be used. I don't live in the area anymore, but I am more than willing to make a trip out here to shop again. They have a large selection of products, from makeup to skincare, with the entire line of Amore Pacific brands that go from high-end to drugstore. I found out about this Aritaum location through reddit, funnily enough. Even though the website is still under Amore, the store has actually been transformed into an Aritaum! I've never been to the store when it was still Amore, so I can't make any comparisons, but it now includes a few brands under the Amore Pacific company. They had makeup from IOPE, Laneige, and Aritaum as far as I can remember, and skincare from Hanyul, Mamonde, IOPE, Laneige, Sulwhasoo...maybe something else too. I was there when they were running a BOGO Aritaum Wannabe Cushion Tint promo, and I was excited to see that sale! It looked like they were out of a few things that were maybe more popular. However, they did carry the IOPE air cushion XP in N31! The reason I'm writing this review/bothering to file this new location is because I'm essentially in love with this store since everything is really well priced--many Korean skincare/beauty stores have really huge markups but it didn't seem like Aritaum did! I picked up the cushion tints, the ginger sugar lip balm, honey melting tint, a Mamonde toner, and a Mamonde foot sheet mask for under $50, and received a BUNCH of free samples. I'm talking like 12 packets. AMAZING. My friend bought a cleansing oil and still received like 4 samples. (Side note: minimum for credit card purchases is $20, but debit card is fine.) I also wanted to rave about the SA who helped me out. He was showing me a bunch of things but also didn't come across as pushy, and I never felt like he was just tailing me around either. Yay Aritaum!!! Good thing I don't live near here or I might start forgoing food to fit in my shopping budget. read more

I love shopping here for skin care products, shampoo, and makeup, not that I make it a habit of putting on makeup a regular basis. The staff is friendly and know their products pretty well. For someone like me who is a skin care dummy and makeup novice, the staff here are nice and patient enough to walk me through their product lines. The products themselves are tested to avoid allergic reactions. If you need help, the staff is more than happy to show you a sample of their products that would be suited for your skin type, etc. They have special promotions from time to time. I suggest signing up for membership so that you can rack up points and keep a order history for reference. If you are from out of town you can always order by phone and they will ship you your order. read more

Just bought some skin care today, the service was alright just followed us around and answered what we asked. The reason why I give this place 3 star is because the samples that the rep give me was expired. I got 3 sheet masks and ALL of them are expired and one was them was expired in 2017!!! Thank god I looked at it before I used it. I understand those are freebies but come one I rather not have those than find out later that it was expired. I will just stick with what I bought forget about hoses free samples. read more

I love this store! I love trying new skincare products and I've recently been switching over to Asian-only products because I feel they work better for my skin. I've only tried a few products from here, but I'm pretty much sold on them. One reason I love this store is because I always come out with a bunch of samples. Some are one-time use samples, others are deluxe-size that I've been using for the last few weeks. There's a $20 minimum if you want to use your credit card, but that's easy to go over if you're buying skincare products. read more

The store was clean and well organized. The girls working there were nice and helpful. I've been using their skincare products for years already. This time I bought several sheet mask, Laneige sleeping mask, a moisturizer, and some cosmetics. Of course the more you spend, the more samples you get, I mean good amount of samples and a free full size product (different every month). The only thing is that they don't carry or have all the products in stock. Overall, it's a nice store to shop for Korean skincare and cosmetics. read more

DONT GO THERE!!! If I could I'd give them negative 5 stars!!! Employees here don't know how to greet customers. Me and my friend there last Wednesday and we spent 10 mins in the store try to figure out which cushion foundation we should buy. For the whole 10 minutes we walked in and out, no one even say "hi" to us. What a ruthless customer service. We will never go again. It's just not the right way to do customer service. They should hire different employees who knows how to treat customers right! read more
