I had a really great experience shopping here with my teenage daughter. The door was locked when we got there, but it was clearly opened, and I didn't feel like it was a big deal. I completely understand, they want to keep the store secure. The girl who helped us was super sweet and helped us right away. She spent a lot of time showing us new makeup and helping my daughter sample different colors. They have a great mix of beauty products, snacks, and cute collectibles, all at very reasonable prices. Randomly came here after having Korean BBQ next door. The gate was closed the whole time so we weren't sure if they were open or whatnot but they invited us in so we went to take a look. They said they lock it because sometimes they get too busy. And given the climate of theft at stores these days I don't blame them. Staff was very nice and courteous. They made lots of suggestions asking what we might be looking for. The shop is a hodge podge of Asian imports from snacks to toys and carries a lot of beauty products. It was really messy in there and not much rhyme and reason to what they stocked in terms of toys. I found quite a few items I've never seen before especially little Sanrio plushies (I bought 3). Picked up an anime figure from Attack on Titan too and my husband bought some snacks and mints. If I were already using the beauty products I might buy them here but most of the signs and descriptions are in Chinese so I don't know what the stuff is. Another odd thing is I didn't see many price tags on things so we had to keep asking the staff about how much each thing costs. Sometimes I think they were just making it up. Will probably stop by again when in the area to support them. For us it'll just be a little treasure hunting store. read more

They want you to think that anyone without a WeChat account is unable to make an appointment, but that's simply not true. When I told the sales woman behind the locked gate that I do in fact have WeChat and would like to make an appointment for the same day, she insisted that she's just "too busy" and there's simply no way to make an appointment. She then insisted that I "go down the street to Takashima, because it's great and you don't need an appointment!" I have been to Beauty Corner several times before without issues in the past but this time they said I could only enter the store if I had an appointment. The store was empty people-wise at this time except for the employees. I asked how I could make an appointment. They pointed me to the QR codes posted on the door and left. Unfortunately the QR codes led me to sites that were written in Chinese so I couldn't even access the appointment page. I decided to come back because I was nearly out of shampoo and this was the closest place to me that had the shampoo I was looking for. My boyfriend and I went shopping here today and, admittedly, I was confused because when we got there the door/gate was closed but their hours said it was open. I ask the lady that was there if they were open and she said they work by appointment only. I was confused and asked how we could do that and they instructed us to scan the QR code. Honestly, I agree with some of the reviews, it was a bite tedious and annoying especially since we were running short on time. BUT, after trying to do the appointment thing and failing, I asked the lady if she could help us out with the app since we didn't know how it works. She was able to help us and the service was great! Honestly I thought at first that they weren't letting us in because we're Hispanic but once I started talking to her a bit more she was really nice! I know some people were saying things about the workers following you like if you're going to be stealing something (which even if you wanted to, you can't they have a safety gate that they make sure to lock and unlock), and at first I kind of felt like that too but we know who we are and aren't going to get offended by that, the thing is that everything is in Korean or Japanese because it's imported from there. I'm mean literally EVERYTHING! I thought it was nice that the lady was following us around at the beginning and she was making sure that we were okay and finding the products that we needed. She even recommend some things and encouraged us to try products that are trending. We were initially there for my boyfriend to get him on a skincare routine since I had already ordered my products on a website. But had I known about this place sooner, I would have waited!! They have great prices AND products! And don't even get me started on the snacks ‍ Anyway, we were laughing and joking around with the same lady that was helping us and made it a point to say we'd definitely come back. Tried to shop here 2 weeks ago only to be met by a locked metal gate and a woman stating that they were closed, even though their store business hours said otherwise. Honesly the best service ever, with amazing prices. for the people that has been complaining about the employees following you- they are not following you because they think you are stealing, they are following you from a safe distance just to make sure it you have any questions they will be able to answer, since everything is imported from Japan or South Korea. If you think they are following you because they think you are stealing, maybe you should ask yourself why. Anyway, I usually get my sunscreen spray imported from Japan directly, and I usually pay 25$ for a tiny bottle excluding shipping. It's the sunscreen spray that smells like cherry blossoms and acts as a make up setting spray. Absolutely amazing because it hydrates your skin without being oily. Here they sell it for 15 a bottle! What?! They open around noon-1pm, the service here is absolutely awesome and the lady hooked it up with a huge discount on my overall order as well if you give them your WeChat infor so they can send you more promotions. They also have the hand foam soap that comes out as a flower, like the once you've seen on tictok. They also have the Japan kitty treats my kitten loves. read more

Stopped by this store while I was waiting to be seated at boiling point located in the same Plaza. I was hoping to find some masks and moisturizer but was unable to. I was in the store for no more than 5 minutes because the employees made me uncomfortable. Right when we walked in we were greeted immediately that's usually a good sign right? Wrong. The girl came up and said "hello what you need?" I told her I'm not sure yet I just want to look around first. She just stared at me. Strange, but I brushed it off thinking maybe she was waiting for me to ask her a question. I then started to walk to the mask section and realized that she was following me, watching my every move.
