I've been coming here for years. It's gotten so busy at this location that there are even long lines in the morning. 9 times out of 10 there's always an issue with one of my prescriptions. It wasn't always like this. But with two nearby pharmacies closing, they have acquired a ton of new customers. The staff is overwhelmed especially the pharmacists. Initial communication about my order delay speaking to Carrie was acceptable. However, the subsequent cancellation by another employee with no alternative solutions was disappointing. While store manager Alyssa later resolved This issue, the pickup experience was problematic. The associate was dismissive, denied the existence of my order despite manager confirmation, and provided minimal customer service. Additionally, my photo blocks were carelessly packaged, resulting in damaged presentation. While I appreciate Alyssa's help, the Overall experience fell short of expectations. Update: Put in another order for another 9 acrylic photo blocks. There was a mixup but Carrie sorted it all out with me patiently. She's a rockstar. Photo department, aweful service, not working according to stated schedule, rude employees According to the Walgreens website, the Photo Department is listed as being open until 10:00 PM. However, when I arrived at the store at approximately 6:50 PM, I was told the photo service closes at 7:00 PM. Even more frustrating, I was informed that the staff member responsible for taking photos had already left before 7:00 PM. This was unacceptable for several reasons: 1. The hours posted on your website do not match the actual service hours. Customers should be able to rely on accurate information. 2. Even if the department closes at 7:00 PM, I arrived before that time and should have been assisted. 3. The staff member I interacted with was unprofessional and dismissive. There was no acknowledgment or apology for the fact that the photo staff had left before the service was supposed to be available, nor any attempt to assist me. read more

If there could be negative review option, I would have to give it. They took over pharmacy clients when nearby Rite-Aid shut down and it is a terrible experience. I honestly think their team at the register for the pharmacy operate extra slow just because they want to or perhaps they are poorly trained. No matter what time you come there is a line that is 30-40 minutes long for a simple pick up. Guess this is why people are turning to Amazon and other options. Unbelievably great service here... I needed my insulin prescription to be delivered today as I ran out. Usually insulin must be picked up as it requires refrigeration... so delivery is normally unavailable. After finding out about my problem, the store manager (Kris) called me and offered to deliver it personally. He stopped by a moment ago and dropped off the insulin. This is highly appreciated by me. This drug store is large compared to other Walgreens. It also has a drive through pharmacy which I didn't know existed around here. It's my first time here because I needed to pick up a RX. The pharmacist on the phone was very pleasant and helpful. The pharmacist ringing up my order was also friendly as well. I'll be pretty glad to use this pharmacy from now on. read more

Just a quick update about the total dysfunction at Walgreens Pharmacy on Kooser Rd. In San Jose. On Wednesday I went in to pick up a prescription. The Pharmacy did not have enough inventory to fill the entire order, so I accepted a partial order of 26 of 30 at $11.22. Today I was notified that the remainder of the prescription could be picked up. 4ea at $3.84. Same insurance/discount plan. I asked the clerk why the cost was more than double. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs - very disorganized. Have had repeated issues with them making mistakes on prescriptions - misplacing filled prescriptions, saying things are filled when they aren't or filling incorrect amount. Also, it's almost impossible to get through to them over the phone. Really a shame that the Rite Aid on Meridian avenue closed down but this Walgreens is definitely not the answer. read more

This is literally the worst pharmacy I've ever had to deal with. Every time a prescription is sent in, it will sit there for 3-4 days without being filled until I either wait on hold for over an hour and ask them to begin filling it, or drive down there and wait 30-45 minutes for them to fill it. The customer service is horrible, it is clear the employees do not care in the least about their job. The pharmacist is equally as terrible. I asked what I could do to ensure my prescriptions would be filled in a reasonable manner, and she completely ignored me and walked away. In addition, this pharmacy is constantly out of stock of things. Having a 3-5 day timeline to fill a prescription while making the customer jump through hoops in order to get the ball rolling is completely unacceptable. I am switching pharmacies ASAP. read more

The only reason this gets a two is because there are staff that are so kind helpful. However, the pharmacist is extremely rude. I called at opening because they have been extremely weird about my prescription and I wanted to make sure my physician called and cleared everything up. As soon as the pharmacist answered, I could tell she perturbed and didn't say any type of greeting just asked what I needed. I didn't say anything and explained my situation to her. She cuts me off and begins to say she didn't talk to anyone. Obviously I'm confused because I got the confirmation from my physician and before I could say anything else she continued on. So I said "okay I understand, I will reach back out to her but you don't need to be rude". She goes "what?" And before I can answer, she hangs up. This is a fine Walgreens for Walgreens stuff. I like the drive through pharmacy which saves waiting at the unpredictable inside area with 3 uncomfortable seats. They also have vaccinations which is nice. If you're looking for basic hygiene stuff, also fine. Food and drink options all fall firmly under "junk" - you shouldn't buy stuff to consume here. Parking is always easy because of the good sized lot. Unlike some other ones it also doesn't feel dangerous at night. read more

I wish I could choose no star! We are living in this area for ever and going to this Walgreens for many years. Majority of people in neighborhood are not happy at this store for many reasons as you can see in other reviews but still going there to support. Today I was there at 8:20 am to buy a few items. My bill was $116.88 plus tax but I round it up to $118. I paid $120 cash and I said it's good I can have quarters for laundry. The woman at cashier gave me 2 dollar bills. Kindly I requested her to give me quarter instead but she responded me " NO, WE ARE NOT SELLING QUARTER HERE" in a very very very disrespectful way, with so much attitude, very mean and with unacceptable tone!!! I was shocked I told her why do you have so much attitude and why are you responding to me in this way. It's beginning of the day, I came here to do shopping and you treated customer like a trash! I asked her THREE times " what's your name" ? But she didn't say. Finally she said "JUNE". I said June, you will have a complaint from me. She even didn't bother herself to listen to me, she just picked up the phone to call a young boy to come there and when he came she started whispering in his face while I was leaving the store but at the end she was loud and again said " WE DO NOT SELL QUARTER HERE"!!! However, there's this one cashier , Anastasia, who makes me want to walk over to the 7-11 across the street instead. She gets over familiar with the customers and pushes the Walgreens card too much, it makes you uncomfortable. I am a regular customer of Walgreens on Kooser Road in San Jose, California. This particular Saturday, January 20, I was shopping for some cosmetic items. I asked a Walgreens associate where I could find an item I was looking for. They told me to find Van, the woman who works the beauty and cosmetics area. Van happened to be working with another customer. I noticed how courteous and kind she was toward the customer. After she finished with the customer, I asked if she could help me find a particular product. She took me straight to the exact product I was looking for. Van is professional, patient, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the Walgreens store. I appreciate employees like Van who take the time to make my Walgreens experience a pleasant one. read more

After purchasing a thermometer and testing it in my car which never left the parking lot I noticed the unit was defective. The sale was tendered not more that 30 minutes ago by the manager Dennis. When I returned and spoke with Dennis showing him the unit was defective. Dennis ripped the package open saying I was the one who ripped it open. After testing the product and verifying it is defective he refused to replace it or return the payment to my credit card that was used to make the purchase. Dennis stated that since the receipt is digital he would only give me store credit. After 30 minutes of not accepting store credit and requesting the refusal in writing we came to an agreement for an even exchange. The business practices of this store is just morally wrong, refusing to replace defective products and having to go back and forth for 30 minutes just replace a defective product. read more

Covid-19 Booster * Pfizer 11/03/21 The purpose of this Review is share my excellent experience getting the COVID-19 Booster (Pfizer) today at the Walgreens Pharmacy. First off, I want to express my gratitude to the Pharmacy Staff who assisted me today during my visit. Their names are Victor (tech), Thea (tech), and Delia (rph). They all communicated clearly, calmly, and efficiently with each other and with their patients. They are why my experience exceeded my expectations. More about my experience... I made my Booster appointment the day of, just 1hr prior to the available time slot. I loved that convenience of appt availability and the ease of booking via the Walgreens iOS app. Upon arriving at the location, I easily found parking; and checked in at the pharmacy for my 2:20pm appointment. Victor checked me in and gave me the necessary paperwork to fill out. I spent about 10-15 mins filling out additional paperwork (insurance, health history, vaccination records etc) before I receiving the shot. Thea helpfully explained the CDC Recommendations for "mixing and matching" and the differences between needing an additional third dose, versus a booster dose. I appreciated that additional information since the internet is inundated with vaccine information nowadays. Moreover, Thea, Victor, and Delia all did a nice job building rapport with the patients in the waiting area, despite the busy afternoon at the pharmacy. Delia flawlessly administered the vaccine booster in a private back room. Then, I waited the necessary 15 mins afterwards and walked away a happy camper with my physical Booster Vaccine Card. I went to the store looking for bathroom toilet paper. There was signage for two types of paper- a large package for $9.99 and a smaller one for what appeared to be $4.99. The cashier was not willing to check the prices for me. She said the smaller package was $9.49, not $4.99. She said another customer thought the same as me, but the higher price was correct because she had checked on the bar code. She did not seem sure of the merchandise prices. Yes, I've been on strong meds for years due to oh I don't know, five surgeries back to back for a debilitating disease. Now I take suboxone, proudly, as it helps with pain while keeping me on something lighter weight. She is rude about my script. Lies about it not being available when the person on the phone says it's ready. Now she plain won't fill it because it's Telemedicine. Literally hurting my recovery and health. Regarding drive through covid test: It takes a looong time. I was third car in line. after lunch. If you drive close to the wall of the bldg you could be in the shade. The instructions on how to do the test is on one page on the window. Probably too small for some seniors to see. First step is they take your driver license to lookup your appt. start printing out labels and barcodes etc. This seems to take 5-15 mins. Then finally they give you a ziplock bag with the stuff, and your license back. You swab your nostrils, break swab in half, put the swab half in small vial that contains liquid. put vial back into plastic pouch, put that into the ziplock bag. Give all that back. Can all be done in 60 seconds flat. Try to move your car forward quickly so the next person can get started. Seniors may have trouble doing this test themselves if for the first time. read more

It's located in the Princeton Shopping Center facing Kooser, near Starbucks, a gym and Party City. The inside of this Walgreens is pretty much like all other Walgreens- they have a pharmacy, beauty section and other sundries. I misplaced my lipstick and chapsticks from our Disneyland trip, so I was in need of Chapstick or something. Anita in the beauty section was super helpful. I was able to find two beauty products: Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm ($9.99) This is an SPF 30, in the color Sunny Berry. It glides on like Chapstick but gives a sheer color and is lightweight compared to regular lipstick. Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor, Devotion ($8.99) This has a lipstick wand, so it has no danger of melting in your car or purse. It's light weight and has a pretty rosy color. The only thing I don't like is the fact it has cherry scent. I've always experience good customer service here and today was no different!
