The inside is a convenience store with a deli counter and a few tables if you'd like to eat there. They have a wide variety of sandwich options, so there should be something for everyone. The convenience store also has a good selection of drinks, snacks, and alcohol. I ordered a club sub with provolone added and no veggies. My order was ready within just a few minutes, which was great when grabbing a quick lunch. The sub was simple, fresh, and tasted good. That said, I was expecting a little more meat for a $13 sandwich. It wasn't skimpy, but it didn't feel like the portion quite matched the price. I've heard great things about this place, as far as Boars Head sandwiches. So I finally decided to try it. Location: In a strip mall. It's a limited grocer, deli and seems to have gas station choices. Which means they have a little bit of everything. Beer, wine, chips, candy, soda drinks. Service: Its owner operated. There were 2 young gentleman working. I ordered a hot Beefstrami sandwich. Employe did recommend. You can make a value meal for $2.49, which includes either macaroni salad, potato salad or pasta salad, chips & a drink. I only wanted 1/2 sandwich. It was around $9. Service was fine, nothing over the top. They have a great selection of sandwiches hot & cold. Boars Head meat & cheese. I got it to go. They did have minimal seating, outside the front of store. Conclusion: Sandwich was tasty, sub roll was burnt but a good amount of beef & pastrami, pickles, cheddar cheese, mayo & mustard. I want to try their Ruben next. read more

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the Grocery Station this morning. They were taking croissants out of the oven. The owner said they make all the rolls, croissants and cookies on the premises. The grocery station is truly a gem if you like, homemade bread and croissants. After ten years away from the neighborhood I moved back and the first thing I did was visit Grocery Station! I was very happy to see Marty still owned the store and the amazing job he's done with the place. The floors were recently done and they look a million times better than that old tile. They have new shelves, the wine and beer selection has grown immensely, also the soft drinks selections had a big improvement. My main reason for coming was of course the great deli and in particular the Beefstrami! This sandwich is simple but bursting with flavor. Creamy mayo tangy mustard the pickles add the perfect crunch and saltiness. I saw a review from Marky M. saying negative things about the sandwich and the store. Based off his picture it looked like he modified the Beefstrami to fulfill his basic child taste buds. Looking at his profile the guy seems miserable and only leaves negative reviews at all the places he visits. read more

I came in with high hopes after seeing the solid reviews, especially coming from Los Angeles where delis and quality sandwiches are everywhere. Unfortunately, this spot didn't live up to expectations for me. The place was understaffed (I noticed some younger workers, which is fine), leading to a very slow service-- it took about 25 minutes just to get a single sandwich. When it finally arrived, it felt underwhelming: the bread and meats tasted like standard store-bought quality, nothing fresh or house-made that stood out. For the price and wait time, it just didn't feel worth it. Honestly, I could have walked across the street to Albertsons, grabbed the same (or better) ingredients, and made a superior sandwich in less time overall. I've never had that thought at a dedicated deli before. If you're looking for a quick, no-frills convenience store sandwich and don't mind the wait, it might work--especially if you're a regular who likes the simpler options. But for anyone expecting a deli with quality or efficiency, I'd skip this spot and run to Albertsons. Albertsons French bread is 1000x better than whatever they served me. Saw this place via yelp had good reviews so decided to try it, reviews are spot on. I got a turkey ham and Swiss sub it didn't disappoint. If you're in the area and hunkering for a great sandwich do yourself a favour and get one here. They also have desserts by judy's Sweet addiction at the cash register. Had the rice crispy bar as well as the maple glaze cinnamon roll cake. Both were awesome the cinnamon roll cake absolutely divine. read more

Based on the pictures and reviews, I was expecting a lot more than this sad looking beefstrami. Very little meat, one single slice of tomato and little onions, compressed and flaky bread, and cheese that I didn't even realize was there but was melted between the meat. Compare mine to the other pics on here and something is quite wrong. It's obviously not the same sandwich place it used to be. Higher prices, lower quality and smaller portions. What a shocker these days. As for taste, it was one-dimensional. No flavor aside from the meat which tasted strange. Definitely no cheddar or mayo flavor despite being on there. The teen who helped me was nice, but based on the worker conversations and who was loitering around, I have a feeling it's stoner feed made by stoners. Sorry, but unlike what I was told by the guy helping me, I most certainly was not 'missing out' by not trying them before. Especially not for over $10 before tax! If anyone with taste buds is reading this, please save your money and go somewhere good for a sandwich, like a certain place off Raintree with a well-warranted five star rating. My mom found this place recently and she adores it. It has a generic name and seems like any regular convenience store but the sandwiches are delicious and affordable. I've had the beef pastrami, turkey delight, roast beef, and club sandwiches. My sister always gets the turkey delight, but she doesn't like avocado, so I always gladly take her avocado on the side. I ordered two sandwiches through GrubHub, the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with onion, Swiss cheese, green peppers and mayonnaise. I wish that is what I got, but I didn't, there was a sprinkling of mayonnaise no onion, one piece of green pepper that looked like a green M&M that somehow made its way onto the sandwich. The bun was so dry I nearly choked on the sandwich. I also tried the potato salad, which was very good tasted similar to what you would get at Costco or the grocery store. The Italian sandwich made up for how bad the Philly cheesesteak was. I think someone was having a bad day when they made the Philly cheesesteak similar to the day the Philadelphia eagles had against the Kansas City Chiefs. That being said the Italian sandwich was absolutely delicious and the only reason I'm giving four stars to this restaurant/grocery store. I really wanted to get five stars but I could not excuse the absolute poor quality of the Philly. It was pathetic. Don't judge this book by its cover. The dingy strip mall liquor store vibe made us question the high ratings and we may have considered driving away. We were both glad we didn't. The sandwiches were fresh, delicious and a terrific value for the meager price. I got the beef pastrami and it was awesome. The meat was melt in your mouth and the bun was soft and perfectly toasted to give it a nice crunch without the sharp edges. My wife got the Italian and loved it. I came back from Grocery Station one day and told my family, "there is something about going to Grocery Station that is just happy." And there is. The sandwiches there are just incredible and the bread just makes it all. The meat is amazing along with the vegetables it is just the perfect sandwich. Everything they make is fresh and it has not been sitting under a heat lamp for 3 hours. The workers there are friendly and greet you when you walk in. And it is amazing that I can walk in and be out in a literal minute with everything I need. And it is cozy to be there. It is small but it has all you need. Snacks, sandwiches, drinks. This is an owner-operated, operator-owned store (by Marty) that needs our support (especially now: April 2020). This small store has a deli with Boar's Heads brand deli meats and cheeses. If you didn't know, the Boar's Head brand is premium deli fare. We called them last Sunday, spoke our order into the phone, and picked up our order at the store. No credit card information was requested on the phone, which is comforting to those (like myself) who are not accustomed to using some of the tech delivery services. We paid upon pick up. Clean transaction. Marty was there. Marty also has a selection of wine and beer at market prices along with the usual convenience store type items. They'll also make you some pretty great sandwiches you can carry out. I'm not sure Marty ever goes home. He works his business with his "nose to the grindstone." Who doesn't admire this? My purpose is writing this, ultimately, is to send the message that if you need quality meats and cheeses (or anything else), don't forget the small business right around the corner, that one you pass by. If you're on this side of town and looking for a sub sandwich or quick snack, this is a great locally owned store to stop into. Everyone working the counter, either the young kids or the owners, is always so gracious about answering your questions about the menu and giving you good service. Just got a sub sandwich here and some delicious gluten free Rice Krispy treats and oatmeal cookies on my last stop. Everything tasted good and was priced so reasonably.
