Absolutely unacceptable experience at the Walgreens Pharmacy in Shelby Township (26 Mile & Van Dyke). On June 27, my doctor sent in a prescription for 270 capsules. On June 29, I received an online notification that only 15 capsules were ready. I called the pharmacy at 5:18 PM and was told the online portal was incorrect -- that the full 270 capsules were ready for pickup. When I went to the pharmacy on July 3, I waited 10 minutes in line, only to have the pharmacy tech unable to find the prescription. She brought in the pharmacist, Mary, who said it was ready and asked me to take a seat while she retrieved it. After waiting another 18 minutes, it became obvious that the prescription was not ready at all. I approached the counter to express my frustration, and instead of listening, Mary repeatedly talked over me and wouldn't let me speak. When I finally managed to get a word in, she told me she "wasn't going to listen" and walked away down an aisle -- clearly avoiding the conversation. Before leaving, she had the audacity to tell me to transfer all of my prescriptions away from Walgreens. This behavior is completely unprofessional and disrespectful -- especially from someone responsible for handling patients' medications. I've been a loyal Walgreens customer, but after this outrageous experience, I am seriously considering transferring all of my prescriptions to a pharmacy that values accuracy, accountability, and basic customer respect. read more

This Walgreens is the best I have ever shopped at. The Pharmacy is amazing. The ck. out personnel are very friendly and helpful. This is definitely my "go to store" read more

I would avoid this pharmacy, they used to be good. Now most employees are condescending, and good luck getting through the phone, hung up on me 4 times after being placed on hold and have no manners whatsoever. Since Rite aid closed they have not handled the influx of patients and clearly need more help. read more

I didn't wanna deal with them again, but I had to because my prescription was moved there. I need my medication or just a few to get by and they were very rude to me on the phone and told me they can't do anything and bye very rude. Never go here. read more

I used to frequently come here because it is by my mom's house. We come here a lot for photos Yesterday, my sister used 40% off for a photo collage. She gave it to my mom for Mother's Day. It had photos of my grandpa that recently past away two weeks ago. (My dad's mom). When she received this gift, she couldn't believe it. We have spent hundreds on her in the past and she said this was the best gift that she will always treasure. Today, we decided to make another one of my grabdpa with all the kids and one for my mom of all of us. She told us she would love another next time, so we are planning to surprise her today. We used 40% off and only paid $13 for each one. $13 for something she will love. Something priceless to my mom. No perfume, jewelry, purse, etc will make her happier than this gift will. The man did an amazing job and was really helpful. The process is super fast. I also picked up some snacks because why not. The veggie sticks are amazing! read more

The pharmacy staff were very friendly and helpful! They went out of their way to get us a prescription for a drug they were out of.

this is the worst pharmacy i've ever been to they do not help what so ever and never have any of my prescriptions when i need them!

I cringed when my company"s prescription plan limited me to only using Walgreens because THEY get better prices, and I get the LOUSY service that they are famous for. To top that off, recently my medical plan changed to a requirement of; all long term scripts be filled only in a 3 month supply. Again saving THEM money, and I get the B.S. that came with the change. It only took a matter of months before Walgreen's stupid policies will cause me to pay over $1050 due to my wife's inhaler script being given a specific fill date, and of course Walgreens was out of that medication causing me to miss the full deductible already met for 2020. Script cannot even be filled tomorrow (01.01.2021) because ?? Well Walgreens is closed of course. So now the Script won't be filled till Sunday at best. So instead of paying only $202 for the 3 inhalers, I will have to pay over $1250. Just one more reason to hate Walgreens and hate 2020. Thanks for a big Fat F'ing Nothing Walgreens!!! I came there with passport photos, already done using a gov't approved passport application with exact measurements and head/chin/background ALREADY DONE... I ONLY needed to print them out for my children. No pictures were taken, my kids weren't even with me and they charged me $15 PER PHOTO for a total of $45 for 3 printed pictures. ROBBERY. I will never go there again! That is absolutely cheating a customer because I wasn't left with a choice. $45 for 3 mini prints. Absolutely ridiculous!!!!!! read more

The store clerks are always very nice. But to say the pharmacy staff leaves something to be desired is an enormous understatement. There is more compassion from an ATM than from these people. So cold and downright rude. You think from one human to the other there would be a "please" or "thank you" but, every time I come here I'm left wondering why I keep coming here. Well no more walgreens. You're not the only pharmacy around! And I suggest everyone else to avoid this place as well. read more

This review is only for the Walgreens Pharmacy. I would give the actual store 5 stars. As another poster indicated "to say the pharmacy staff leaves something to be desired is an enormous understatement" Couldn't be more true. It never ceases to amaze me that each time I pick up my prescription - the pharmacists are cold, and over the top rude. I work in customer service - I could never imagine treating a client of mine the way these people treat customers. Every time I go there I always tell myself it will be the last time, but its convenient so it makes it hard to leave. Never ever do you get a hello, a good bye, a please, or thank you or a have a nice day. Nothing. They treat you as if you are an inconvenience to them (especially in the drive up lane). My biggest pet peeve is when the pharmacist asks you to confirm your address and mid sentence they cut you off to tell you what you owe. It happens EVERYTIME. And they are so rude about it. I dropped off a prescription on Sunday and the pharmacist was so rude to me- I was actually speechless. When I pulled up - I was abruptly greeted with "picking up or dropping off" - via a rude and very inconvenienced tone. I answered and then explained that my insurance information may be out of date as I am now on my husbands - and was interrupted mid sentence - by the pharmacist demanding his name. Then I was asked to confirm his DOB - which I confirmed 3 different times for her - each time I was rudely asked "what" and she had a look of disgust on her face. I spoke loudly and clearly each time, there is no way didn't understand me the first time. I swear, she was doing it on purpose. I am not really sure why she couldn't just say "I am sorry, I didn't get that, can you repeat his DOB?". I have dealt with some really rude people at the pharmacy throughout the years, but this girl - was the queen of nasty. I am so disgusted pharmacists at this particular Walgreens seem to have zero compassion or people skills. read more
