My dentist gave me a prescription for a toothpaste, and I took it to Walgreens to be filled. The prescription cost $25.00, and unfortunately my insurance did not cover it. The pharmacist went to her computer and saw that there was a coupon for the product. She went to great detail in showing me how to go the the website, and print a coupon for myself. I was able to download the coupon and the final cost of the toothpaste was $5.00!!! Another thing I have notice about the pharmacy department is that they are knowledgeable about the quasi medical products located throughout store. On one occasion I went in and asked for 100% glycerin. One of the pharmacist told me the exact location of the product. It was in the hair (beauty) department, on the bottom shelf. read more

This store is about as unprofessional as you can get. It was 3-4 folks in line, and the cashier was in the back of the store. The manager asked her,"Why are you back here and folks are in line?" She then walks super slow to get to the cash register. Her attitude was like, "I have to be here and I'm in no rush to get you out." I know the employee pool is low, but it's bad here. If I could give it NO STARS, I would. I will never came back to this or any other Walgreens again. I have been loyal and faithful customer who fought to get one built in my NW Detroit neighborhood 25 years ago. Closing that one has caused great problems trying to get any prescription out of this one for over 3 months. I have had MORE PROBLEMS with 3 Walgreens nearest to my home in the last 2 years than I had in 15 years I was in Monroe. But the problems here will end up killing someone if they don't fix it. It has taken me so long and multiple times to just get my prescription. Over a week at a times and now instead of putting what I had tried to get since Monday back on my profile so I could try another Walgreen's, it was deleted. I have to call my doctor to have it resent to my new drug store - CVS. Others in the long line told me how many times the had come to get what their doctor prescribed. Store managers have told me closing the Evergreen and 7 Mile store means that a 1000 prescriptions are coming to this store. But that has been happening for now a long while and corporate is not doing anything to correct the problems. No added staff or hours. In fact this store has less staff and hours than Monroe MI locations have. All the Walgreens near me do, but Monroe has much less minority population. Do they think it OK to give us less service because we are in an area with high minority population !!!!????;!! WTF!!!! What will it take, someone dying while waiting for days to have a prescription to be filled. I can just switch to a different company, but seniors might not be able to do that. Because of the service I have received and the problems, Walgreens lost a loyal life long customer with a big month. read more

The pharmacy is often without a pharmacist so you can't get medications when you need. No one is available to even call and send the prescription to a pharmacy where there is a pharmacist on duty. This is a regular occurrence. They say it is due to poor staffing. read more

Horrible service, it took them 10 plus minutes to come to the counter to help. Then the order I came to pick up wasn't even ready.

Imagine hearing the cashier make derogatory comments to another customer about you as you walk out of the store. I was there to purchase one item. As always, there was only one cashier. The woman in front of me, who happen to be a white woman, was having all kinds of problems at the register. My time was running out. I didn't say a word. I dropped the item at the counter, and proceeded to leave the store. The cashier clearly did not like that. African-American woman. Older. Blonde/gold colored wig/weave/hair. And as I leave the store, she begins to bash me to the white woman who was having the difficulty at the register. This bothered me so much, that I made a complaint to the corporate office. In this age, where Black people are repeatedly mistreated on film/social media for the world to see, imagine my horror at this woman bashing me to this white woman as I exit. Neither of whom I knew. And, when I step back in to ask her to repeat herself, she says "I didn't say anything." So, you wanna talk trash on a person, but when they hear you you're not even woman enough to stand on your commentary. That proves she knew it was wrong. I informed her that I heard her, and that I would be reporting this incident to corporate office. I work in the public! According to the guests that I serve, I am five stars! The behavior, repeated behavior, of the people at this Walgreens is pathetic. I guess because of the pandemic, you cannot find any quality employees. I kinda understand that, I just wish this was not the closest Walgreens to my house. read more

Is one of my favorite drug stores in the area they always have what I'm looking for the staff is really nice and pleasant when you walk in there make sure you know what you're looking for and where it is they make sure they keep a smile on their faces when they speak to you they're always cordial you always feel like you're in the presence of good people when you patronize this store. read more

Spoke to the pharmacist to make sure that the new medications that I would be on would be available every month. He assured me that they would be. Second refill, they took 3 of 4 of my scripts and said they didn't have the 4th one. I waited a week and went back - still nothing. Waited another week, still nothing - the third week I went in, still no meds so I decided to just grab the other 3...guess what?? They didn't have them and said they didn't have any scripts filled or to be filled for me!! So - they lost 3 and never filled the 4th! My system was so out of whack from not receiving my meds for a month! Don't EVER use this pharmacy for anything important!! The WORST I have ever dealt with! read more
