I have to give major props to the pharmacy team. My husband just started chemo and it is critical that we all get vaccinated right I booked a vaccine for my 14 year old but when we got there it was told that they couldn't give the shot to anyone under 18. His age was right there in the reservation so why was I able to book it if they can't do it?? Annoying. So we raced over to Walgreens to try again. Even though they were really busy and about to close up, the staff and pharmacy made it happen. They were wonderful and understanding. I can't say how grateful I was to get this done. read more

Cecy Wang the "pharmacist" at Walgreens is unprofessional piece of garbage. Walgreens pharmacy will Text, Call and Email you that the prescription is ready but every time I go to pick a medication up its not ready. I show the pharmacist the email etc and I get "its not my problem" Then why all of the notifications ??? My insurance no longer uses CVS so I tried Walgreens, what a joke they are. We have been using then for 6 months and every time we go there is a problem. CVS would call if there is a issue with a prescription, not Walgreens.They will tell you that the prescription is not ready when you get there for whatever reason. I'm so disappointed in this location- I placed a same-day pick up photo order today that I needed this evening for a gift for family who are leaving tonight. I called the store when it was supposed to be ready (6:30pm) only to find out that they are not working on it and don't have anyone at that location who could do it tonight. If they had called me to tell me that HOURS ago I would have gotten it done somewhere else- now it's too late to get it printed. I do have empathy for the workers who are stuck there not knowing how to do this BUT the website should not indicate same day pickup when that's clearly not the expectation- and the staff should have the decency to call to inform the customer that they will not be doing the order. read more

I don't really have much to say about this Walgreens since I was in and out to pick up a prescription, but that process was smooth as usual. There was a bit of a wait time, but not bad. The pharmacist was helpful. I went around 8:15pm so the parking lot was pretty empty. It's in a plaza so I can imagine it could potentially get pretty full -- just an FYI. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. The pharmacy staff is actually a joke and have no clue what they're doing, and they are extremely rude. Yandy, specifically and some other girl with an accent. I arrived to pick up my medication, which I received notification was ready. I go to give the girl w an accent my express scripts card which apparently needed a PCN number. She refused to release it without. Meanwhile my family uses walgreens for express scripts and never had this issue. I end up having to call customer service to retrieve it. Fast forward about 20 mins i finally get it, now apparently it is being rejected. With a smirk on her face, she tells me I have to come back after lunch, mind you I have literally been there for over an hour at that point. Now Yandy comes over and tries to help her process it and it is still being rejected. Yandy gets a disgustingly nasty attitude with me and tries to tell me to sit down and was extremely unprofessional and rude. I refused to leave until I got my medicine because I at least wanted some explanation of why it was being rejected?? Similarly, it was 1:25 (they close for lunch at 130) and I had been there for over an hour trying to get ONE medication?? That is ridiculous and talk about lack of customer service. They end up taking my phone to speak with the customer service pharmacist in order to try and process it. They were finally able to get it through. Come to find out, the whole reason it was not going through was because she put it under Medicaid & the convo was overheard of the girls saying to each other "why would you enter Medicaid? She's 24, Medicaid is for 65 and older??" So in the end it was their error. No apology, no change in attitude. They smirked and snickered the whole time as if they don't know how to do their job. LOL. Pathetic. I will NEVER be using this Walgreens again. 2 hours wait almost for THEIR MISTAKE!!! Save yourself the time and energy and take your business elsewhere. I once loved Walgreens, but this one is one of the worst that I have ever experienced. They seem to always have staffing issues and are short a pharmacist. This makes it difficult for me to pick up my medications and it has become very frustrating. I should have switched my Pharmacy a lot sooner, but I kept telling myself things happen and it will get better. Unfortunately, it hasn't gotten better. I even called yesterday to make sure they were going to be open and open until 9 pm whoever I spoke with in the Pharmacy said they would be open until 9 pm. I got there at 4:30 pm and guess what they were closed. I told the cashier upfront about what I was told and she said that she didn't know why I was told that because they all knew they were closing at 4 pm because they no longer have a nighttime pharmacist. I switched to CVS today. I need my asthma medicine and can't wait any longer for them to get themselves together. read more

The pharmacist, Cecy, refused to give my children their second Covid shot 7 HOURS before the 21st day in contravention of CDC guidelines that allow the 2nd shot no earlier than 18 days. We literally could not come the next day because of a funeral. And of course, someone at the funeral tested positive for the Delta variant (we luckily tested negative). She put my children's health at risk when I'm trying to do the right thing and have them vaccinated. I am reporting CeCy to the Connecticut Commission of Pharmacy, SHE SHOULD BE FIRED. Do NOT trust your health to this woman, go to a different pharmacy. read more

Stopped to use the restroom and grab some cough drops, & tooth brushes. 1. the employees were very rude. & 2. the bathroom was absolutely disgusting, there was literal poop on the garbage can, looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. Not sure how they can allow any customers to use that bathroom. I definitely caught a disease/virus just by being in the bathroom. read more

This Walgreens, like most is a dump with terrible service. Makes CVS look like a luxury shopping experience and when CVS opens their newest location on High Ridge, it will be curtains for Walgreens. The big pharmacy's continue to kill the little independents and if you prefer the small independent, I strongly recommend Stamford Pharmacy on High Ridge Road on same strip where Starbucks is and across the street from the new Trader Joe's. read more

Brought my daughter s from Lasik surgery today. On the way home we went to get two bottles of RX eyedrops. There was a coupon to use Walgreens, so we went to this one. I have never used this Walgreens for RX (and I hated the Genovese that was there before). Things have not changed. I handed over the scripts and it was all very nice and efficient, although it did take time as they had to set us up as new customers. I wait and wait and wait. I go up to the counter and they haven't even begun to fill the script. I watch and the clerk goes and gets the exact bottles (under the direction of the pharmacist) and gives it to the pharmacist. At this point I'm told it will take 15 (more) minutes. The pain has kicked in for my daughter and she needs to get home into a dark room. I leave and will now have to return for the prescription later today. Note to Walgreens: When someone says they will wait for the script, their is usually a reason and you should make it a priority to fill it quickly...or tell the person up front you are exceptionally busy and it will take XXX amount of time. Mark my words....I will NEVER EVER uses this Walgreens again for script and with brand new CVS right down the street, I cannot imagine using it for anything else either! I like Walgreens because the staff is cordial and I seldom find the wait to pickup an Rx very long. I love their express pay and their app is very good. I order all my Rx through the app. Unlike other reviewers I don't use a drug store based on its ambience. I want to go in and get out in the shortest possible time and Walgreens is very good for that. read more
