After being with Walgreens since they opened, I finally quit. Six mistakes in a row would tell me my prescription was ready. I get there and they'd say come back tomorrow or in a couple of hours. No apologies. I live 20 miles from the pharmacy coming back the next day is not convenient especially when they sent me a text saying prescription was ready. I've only been using the Tehachapi Walgreens pharmacy for three months and I've had nothing but problems with this pharmacy. I was with Ritaid until they shut down. Evey week it's another problem. It's somethings constantly. I wish Ritreaid didn't shut down. I'm at a loss, because I can not tolerate the constant problems, complications, and lousy service. It's all corporate rules, and guidelines, and not having enough staff, probably paying substandard wages, etc. They likely will be next to go out of business. I decided to try an online order with my local Tehachapi Walgreens because they had an excellent buy with Cheerios for only $1.99 each plus an additional manufacturer coupon for $1.00 off. So I go to complete order and am charged a mandatory fee for bags with no way to decline them! So I entered chat with Lavern D. Was then told that it is a mandatory charge. At no time has any store I shopped with online forced me to purchase unwanted bags! I called customer service and was given a $5.00 credit which was told by chat agent I could use on the online order but couldn't find a place to do so. So ended up having to go in store and waste gas to get the $5.00 credit off my entire purchase and wasn't given an option for the manufacturer $1.00 off my cereals. read more

For a years I have enjoyed the convenience of recieving my rx in the mail every 30 days. Now my dosage has been changed and no pharmacy employees know of this service even though they can see the record of these rx shippments with shipping numbers. This is the info I finally got after hours of endlessly ringing phones with no answer then 20 minutes hold time.Can't even complain that the pharmacist may be withhold this program from his techs b/c his pharmacy won't reach quota b/c noone really answers phone or listens.My prediction Walgrenes will file bankrupcy soon. I always rely on Walgreens for last minute items. Even when in Tehachapi. I've stopped here more times than I'd like to admit (I forget a lot) and Walgreens never fails to restore my sanity and whatever else I needed. The makeup section is particularly well-stocked and clean, unlike several in Bakersfield. The service is also incredibly friendly. On a recent occasion, the gentleman ringing me up was incredibly courteous and friendly. They didn't have anyone at the cosmetics counter. In fact, I never recall seeing anyone there when I visit, but it could just be my timing. Love me some Walgreens -- and those Rewards points! read more

This store has so many beauty items to choose from. Some Walgreens don't carry every brand so I love that I have the choice here at this store. I frequent here a lot and the cashiers and staff are all very friendly. This store is coupon friendly. It is super smart to be apart of the loyalty program since it pays off. Walgreens is the WORST pharmacy I have encountered in my 68 years. I have lived in major cities, small towns, rural areas, college towns and the largest city in the U.S. NEVER I HAVE EVER seen a worse place. There are too many examples to name- I will only use today's. We made an appointment on line to go into the Walgreens in Tehachapi Ca for a new covid booster. According to the website they had it, and they were the ONLY place in this small town that has it. Otherwise we would go anywhere else. We live 30-45 minutes from town. We received an email confirmation and 2 text message confirmations. There is ALWAYS a line, and the Pharmacy is closed on Saturday and Sunday. Yeah...... Say that out loud again. The year is 2022 and the pharmacy is closed 104 days out of the year. Upon arrival we were told that is was a computer error and they didn't have it. Came i off the highway for some emergency battery replacement. Arrived 7 minutes before they closed. Store totally empty except for 2 employees. One of whom was older and promptly told me they werr closing in 5 minutes before I even took 5 steps. Well hello to you too. I was looking through the batteries & then headed over to grab some toothpaste when the same employee, standing about 10 feet away, got on the microphone and announced to the store (im the only 1 there) that they were closing and please bring all items up to the register. That felt kind of awkward in the quiet and empty store. So about 30 seconds later I'm walking down the aisle to the register when this same employee comes walking up the aisle towards me and tells me in person I told you that we were closing please bring your items up now. She seemed a little narrow, straight laced & reminded me of the church lady character on SNL. For that reason alone only 2 stars were given. Most days I don't have any problems coming in here cuz 90 % of the employees are nice and helpful. But today I got eye rolls and attitude for using coupons and multiple transactions at the cosmetic counter (where I was told go by management, when doing multiple transactions as to not hold up the line at the regular transaction. The girl that helped me was not nice and she mumbles under her breath, rolled her eyes and had attitude when I explained to her that I was doing multiple transactions and why. I'm disappointed by my experience today. I've coupons for 3 years in 3 different states and this is the first time I don't feel I was treated right. The store on the whole deserves a 4 or 5, but the pharmacy can be very frustrating, which brings the rating down to 3 for me. I use Walgreens pharmacy because it is convenient, you can fill a prescription at any store nation-wide...but the Tehachapi pharmacy is often very slow. Today I waited on hold for 10 minutes for someone to answer the phone and no one ever did. In the past they have closed early several times to upgrade their computers, without warning. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Every time I get my Rx from these guys there is an issue. They either don't apply my insurance correctly or don't auto renew or don't have my medication in stock. I came in on a Saturday and they said they didn't have my Rx and it was on backorder, then I had to deal with getting my Rx sent somewhere else for 24 hours while waiting for my dr, then I get to the other pharmacy and they tell me that Walgreens filled it the day before. So after all this time elapses I am at the other pharmacy in Bakersfield where I tried to get it from and I have to go all the way back to tehachapi to pick it up. Pure incompetency on Walgreens part especially since I was never notified it was in yesterday. This wasted my time and now my Crohn's disease is Flared up from not having my meds available and I'm gonna have to pay a fortune for steroids in the hospital. Just wanted to share so nobody else has to deal with this mess of a place. It's time to support a local business rather than give to these guys. read more

I went to get a new foundation for winter because I had tanned so much during the summer my old foundation was too light. Violet, at the cosmetic section was so sweet and amazing. She was kind enough to test colors directly on my face to find the perfect shade. She also told me about so many other products I never knew about lol (I'm not the kind that wears a ton of make up) I let her know of my concerned areas of my skin and she knew what exact product to recommend. She's super knowledgeable and will match your needs to the right product. She also told me about a sale they were having...buy 2 get 1 free....I took advantage of that and used my rewards and saved some money, which I LOVE!! Worst pharmacy drive through service possible. Stuck between two cars while they fill orders and call insurance companies to verify information. I would have guessed at least one person in the pharmacy had a college education and could figure out how to tell people to walk in while they take 30 min to wait on them. Amazing how you can be left in line to marinate when you can ask the person to please park in front and take care of the issue inside. Maybe some McDonald's training would benefit them with regards to keeping the line moving. Lame as lame can be. After reading several of these posts I'm not the only one with this issue. read more

It would be different if it was a one time thing but every single time for the past 3 years it's been like this. I also get frustrated because they don't communicate. My daughter had an antibiotic to be filled, they said 30 min, waited an hour and still nothing, they said come back next day, so I did, and they they proceed to tell me they don't do this type of antibiotic here. my daughter needed his asap. Went to this Pharmacy to fill a workers comp prescription as it was the provider for my w/c carrier. .after dropping off the script I was told to return in 30 min. I was met by the pharmacist who started off with a matter of fact attitude and a demeaning tone as he told me it is against the law to fill prescriptions early (I did not needs the meds yet) I was just dropping it off. The pharmacist continued to speak to me like a child. when I questioned him on his conduct and asked for the manager he refused. Completely disrespectful rude and condescending. there is no communicating with this person. he speaks over the customer and hears only what he wants. after returning to my own pharmacy to have the script filled (at my expense) I was told the specific pharmacist called to gossip TWICE regarding me and my personal issues. un professional to the extreme possible to the point of criminal from the point of view of the HIPPAA laws. don't go there don't do business there take your money elsewhere read more

The people who work in the pharmacy are always nice and polite but it seems like I can never get my monthly prescriptions without some sort of problem. It has become comical. Just yesterday I went to pick up 3 refills. The tech found my 3 bagged prescriptions and then told me the computer was locked and I could only pick up 2 out of the 3 refills. I have become so used to always having a problem I just shook my head and paid for my 2 refills. Now I have to find the time to go back and get the remaining prescription.
