Lady in black clothes working the pharmacy counter at 12:40 pm 4/30/2025 was uber rude. She should not be in retail. I gave her my name for a prescription, she said "no here" & walked away, not trying to help me out. I will never go back there again. Sam's Whole or Walmart would be a better alternative, people there are friendly & helpful. The line in the drive thru was at least 8 cars deep which is why I decide to go in. Inconsistent information depending on who you talk to that day. They actually used a Good Rx card for meds that would have cost me $10. But, "once we use Good Rx, we can't turn it into your insurance. *I'm supposed to ask them to bill secondary insurance. Thats my job. So, they messed up (was told all kinds of stories in 5 days. I had a little snafu with an appointment for a flu shot at CVS. They notified me the day of my appointment that they didn't accept my insurance. So I scrambled to find a Walgreens where I could get a same day appointment and this was it. I drove thirty minutes because I just wanted to get it done on the Saturday afternoon I planned to. I had to wait in line at the pharmacy with the people who were there to pick-up and fill prescriptions. When it was my turn the woman informed me I'd have to wait some more for the other woman because she couldn't check me in. I was there a total of 35 minutes. I didn't even get to check in until at least 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I was growing weary of allowing these people to stick my arm with a needle but I just stood there trying to be patient to check it off the list. Eventually they "got 'er done!" read more

Went to pick up my prescription and was automatically met with the worst attitude. When my prescription wasn't ready after receiving an email that it was and waiting in line, they proceeded to tell me it wasn't ready and that I had to drive around and wait in line again when I know it takes 5 minutes to fill it. Reference the Walgreens at 1993 Wentzville Parkway. What a joke if you rely on any kind of professionalism at the pharmacy. I have experienced an attitude at the pharmacy that borders on unacceptable rudeness I am beginning to wonder if many of the people working in the pharmacy have any professional training at all let alone how to serve a customer. My doctor called in a script at 8:17 in the morning on September 2. Later that day I stopped to check on the script and was told they had not received anything from the doctor. On September 3, I went to the store and the person at the pharmacy claimed they had not received the request. On September 4, I called the store and they said the script was denied because the doctor had to approve the request. On September 5, I called the store again and the recording said there was nothing on file for my script. I contacted my doctor's office and asked if there may have been a problem. The office confirmed there was indeed a script request sent and they couldn't understand why I was being told ---"nothing in the system, denied needing doctor approval." To make matters worse, I learned that the pharmacy was closed today. I Called the store again and asked what I was supposed to do since I am leaving early in the morning for a week. The smart mouth manager informed me that I could go the the 24 hour Walgreens some miles away if it was not a controlled substance. It is a controlled substance. She told me "that's all I can do for you." Shortly after, I received a copy of the script request sent by the doctor that recorded the date and time sent to Walgreens. Clearly somebody is lying or not doing their job. Time to find a better Pharmacy. read more

This store is a joke. Waited in line for 8-minutes and as soon as I get to the drive thru window a lady puts up a sign right in my face very rudely that they are closing for lunch and I have to come back. My time doesn't matter for anything. If they moved a little faster it wouldn't have been an issue plus the sign they have at the drive through does not state the time when they leave for lunch. Spoke to manager and heard the company line, and that line isn't that customer service means a thing to this store. Terrible example to show loyal customers up to this point. read more

There are plenty of better pharmacy options in Wentzville. Do NOT use this pharmacy. I walked in to grab my prescription because the line is always four or five cars deep, and the lady working the front desk literally closed the pharmacy on me because it was 1:29, and they close for lunch at 1:30. I don't understand what has happened to Walgreens, but I dread having to get a prescription filled now days because I know it's going to be a horrible experience. It used to be that my doctor would submit an e-prescription or I would request a refill via the app and I could pick it up a few hours later. WHY IS IT NO LONGER THIS SIMPLE??? Now every time a prescription is requested, I have to hunt it down and figure out why it's not being filled. This entails calling or physically going to the store to ask, an employee giving me a lame excuse, and then having to return a second time to actually get the medication. And there's a long line every time I go because there's never enough staff, even with the new drastically reduced hours. It's the most absurd system I've ever seen and it's happening AGAIN right now. My doctor submitted an Rx yesterday, which was a Tuesday. The app said it would be ready by Wednesday. Today is Wednesday and I check the app to make sure it's ready. Of course it's NOT ready, that would have been too simple. Now the app says my prescription was received and I can request it to be filled, but the earliest I can request a pick-up is Friday. WHY WASN'T IT FILLED WHEN MY DOCTOR SUBMITTED IT ON TUESDAY? So now I have to drive to Walgreens to figure out what the issue is and go without my medication for 3 days (and no, it's not a controlled substance). I'm done with this mess and am having everything permanently transferred to CVS. I've been a nurse for 30 years and have never seen such a poorly designed system. Your new call center and off-site services are a disaster. I find myself instructing my patients to go anywhere...except Walgreens. I've seen multiple patient safety issues lately and you've lost my trust. Walgreens is on a downward spiral and it isn't going to end well. read more

This was one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had in a pharmacy. It may have been the person who helped me that turned me off here because they were very rude. I used to get my prescription here but there was issues every month. From trying to charge me $500 when my insurance covered it to unnecessary delays. They once told me my p(x) was lost. We had waited till the last minute to do stocking stuffers and stopped in this Walgreens location very early in the morning. Working retail in my past I can't say I'd be in the nicest of moods Christmas Morning having to work it and all. But the young woman working the register was very helpful to a customer looking for a his last minute gift card for his dad. She was also nice to us as well as friendly /up beat. She was doing work off the register and remaining busy. No complaints this trip. Keep up the great work and thank you for the friendly experience! Walgreens is a really bad pharmacy in general, but this one is definitely one of the worst. Rude employees who constantly screw up prescriptions and add unnecessary delays. The clinic is awesome on the other hand! So definitely go to the clinic but have them send your prescription somewhere else if you want it faster than an hour and trouble free. read more

BEWARE OF GETTING YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS HERE. First I was given a double dosage of my blood pressure medication & when asked about it, they blamed it on dr's office. But the dr's office gave me a copy of the written fax that was sent over. Then, this same location tried to charge me $206 for a prescription, then $258 two days later and then $0 when they saw that I wasn't going to pick up the medication and pay the crazy price since my insurance has covered it before. Then they claimed this last time (in the same hour) that I was being charged $85 for something I picked up from them 6 days ago then said oh that's for another patient with the same name, address and date of birth! The maturity level of the pharmacist and staff at this store is embarrassing! I'm embarrassed for them! Worst customer service experience! They lost my insuriance card and claimed they never got a script from my doctor. My doctor did in-fact call them, they just never checked the voicemail? I went to talk to the store manager. He made a bunch of excuses for why it wasnt done! I don't feel he is old enough to know what he's doing. Nor does he or any of the staff have any kind of experience in handling customers. They have "Little Teenagers" running the store. They are terrible here! I witnessed them reading a resignation letter out loud in the pharmacy of an employee who just quit. So unprofessional and I'd hope embarrassing for him as a store manager . Why would you read that out loud ?WOW, this is your idea of how a store manager is supposed to act? I haven't used Yelp in awhile but I downloaded it just to make this review. My husband received stitches at the urgent care at 2:30 pm. Before we left the urgent care at 3 pm the nurse told us they had already sent the prescription for his antibiotic over to Walgreen electronically. She said it should be ready for us when we got there, it's a 5 minute drive. We took a small detour to get something and then my husband went in to get the prescription after about 15 minutes he came out and said that they claimed to have never received it, so he had called the urgent care and had them resend it. I took him home (a 25 minute drive) and then came back as I had some errands to do. When I stopped there around 5:30 I waited in a somewhat lengthy line and then asked for mine. She said she'd never heard of my husband. Um what? So after some searching she found him in her system, but the prescription wasn't yet filled, come back in 15-20 minutes. I'm a fairly patient person, and figured the groceries could wait a bit. So I killed time walking around the store, sitting surfing through my phone. I have them five minutes longer and then approached the counter at 6 pm to be waited on by a different woman than before. I asked again for my husband's prescription and much to my frustration I was told they didn't have it. I said that I was told they had and it would be filled in 20 minutes. The girl went back to the pharmacist, and asked. She told me that it had "just popped up" and it would be another 20 minutes. Are you kidding me?? I asked if it could be sent to another Walgreens or somewhere else where it could be filled in a more timely manner. She said, "I can't send it anywhere you need to call your doctor and fix that." I said, "I'll be back in 20 minutes, thank you." So here I am at 6:30 pm: sitting in the parking lot, writing a review and praying MY FOURTH ATTEMPT to pick up an antibiotic will be successful. Terrible experience with 2 different women working. Neither one of them wanted to help me when I asked for it. One had long hair and a short sleeve light blue polo shirt on and the other had long straight hair in ponytail and a grey vest on. Her name started with an A. couldn't see the rest of it. I overheard them talking about patients/customers and one of the other workers. They weren't just gossiping but discussing very personal things for the whole public to hear. Like really detailed things about health, personal life, whether true or not I can't imagine his would be OK with their bosses? Or the person being discussed openly and publicly out here. I guess the grey vest was some kind of manager and should def know better. But since this wasn't my first bad experience here Maybe I'm the foolish one for going back. I left empty handed since no one wanted to bother helping a customer. When I told the women I still Couldn't find the things I was looking for they didnt lift a finger just shrugged me off. The other time was similar only with a blonde girl with glasses and braces. I never made a review because I figured maybe she's a kid and still learning. And it was my first bad experience here. This was too much though. So I'm not coming back. I don't want to end up being someone they gossip about for all to hear and I don't have time to waste looking for stuff and asking people to help so they can glare at me for interrupting their gossip sessions. read more

Worst pharmacy ever! Recommended by the oral surgeon as I waited over 40 minutes for my daughters pain medicine. They could of cared less as she cried from her 3 extractions and threw up. Beware & Enter at your Own Risk!! The pharmacy personnel at this Walgreens is extremely poor & lacks any form of basic customer service skill. I was given the wrong medication and charged over $300 for a prescription that was supposed to only cost $40.00 . Walgreens blamed it on our insurance. It was not the insurance that was the problem... It was Walgreens filling the prescription with a generic when it was supposed to be the brand name medication that was prescribed by my Doctor!! The "consultation" window is a complete joke. I had first stepped up to the "consultation window" because I wanted to discretely discuss my medication & the price?? As soon I got to the "consultation" window, I was instructed to go into the check out line. Ok, no problem, but I'm not trying to check out, I need to discuss my medication. So I went into the check out line thinking we could return back to the consultation window to discuss the extreme price & medication mix-up. The lobby was full of other customers so I didn't want to have our medical business aired out across the entire store. The pharmacist who waited on me was actually the pharmacy supervisor who proved to be unprofessional and immature. She was unable to appropriately provide the educated knowledge as to why the medication was $300!! When I asked to speak to a supervisor to help explain what was going on, she advised she was the Supervisor...Oh Lord!! Not to mention, I had been filling my prescription with Walgreens for months and it was always $40.00 Why it changed to $300??? hmmm, could it be someone at Walgreens who really doesn't care about customers to do their job correctly. Furthermore, why will Walgreens not take the time to consult with customers about their medication & the prices associated with it!! How can they just all of a sudden "switch" someone's medication? Their records showed I picked up a "brand name" prescription for $40.00 thirty days ago...hmmm why all of a sudden is my medication switched with a $300 price tag!! A little bit of compassion & customer service could have helped resolve my situation. Because Walgreens said it was our the insurance, I paid the $300 only to find out an hour later after calling my insurance company, that Walgreens filled the prescription with the generic medication. Walgreens refused to refund the $300 stating by paying for the meds, I agreed to the generic version of the medication & they cannot legally give a refund. Think I will be going elsewhere from now on!!! This was a Hard Lesson Learned. I wanted to share our story hoping it might help someone else. Be sure to check with your insurance company & generic versus brand name medication because Walgreens will switch it, charge you, say its your insurance & will not help to "consult" with you on why your medication just went up hundreds of dollars.
