I like having a drive thru available. I got off work on a Tuesday morning at 7am recently and needed to pick up a prescription because I was completely out of it. Having to wait until 10am to get it was rough, too rough. I also do not like that some prescriptions are not filled in-house anymore. Several of my prescriptions were taking longer to get filled because they get filled at a central location, then shipped to the store. So I would request a refill for pickup on a Monday, but it wouldn't be ready until Wednesday, due to the shipping time from the central location. They don't warn you about it either, you just have to notice the difference in the labels on the bottles. The change to 10am was the final straw for me. I did my research, and decided to move my prescriptions to a nearby grocery store that has longer hours, weekend hours and a drive thru. It was the right move, because within hours of the transfer one of the medications that Walgreens always sent out to be filled and took days for me to get, was filled in-house at my new pharmacy and ready for pick up.
