Everything was so smooth and perfect. I inherited my late Mom's dog in April, following her passing. Trooper is a wild girl, and although approximately seven years old, she's still an accomplished escape artist. My sister and I went to the East Coast to celebrate our parents' lives and inter them. I used a friend's recommended dog sitter who was essentially worthless as she only visited twice a day and my neighbor told me she'd heard my dogs crying for hours in the back yard. Unwilling to put them through that again, I found Tish--and luckily Elizabeth, for Trooper. Elizabeth sent numerous photos of Trooper during walks, sleeping, smiling; even at an El Segundo fair where Trooper, well leashed, was agog at farm animals she'd never seen before! I couldn't believe Elizabeth had provided such a sensational field trip to my pup! I cannot say enough positive things about this service for my dog. I needed to wind up my life in Idaho, i.e. listing, packing, et. al., and Tish could not have been more accomodating. My mind could rest easily knowing Tish and Elizabeth would be fine taking care of my Trooper. The most positive experience I could have imagined for my Trooper, and I've recommended Tish and her company to all of my friends who need to feel confident their babies are cared for as their own. My mother is in an assisted living facility which allows small dogs and we needed a long walk once per day for "Winnie" since the staff only provides very short walks. I booked a three week in-home boarding for my dog who had never before stayed with anyone she did not already know. I was able to schedule a "meet and greet" with the dog sitter and see her home before committing to a booking. I was very pleased with this option and this made drop off easier for our dog. During the boarding period I was provided with photos and updates on her well being. At pickup our dog was healthy, happy and upon returning home easily settled back into her familiar environment. If I can give this company a negative 10 star review I would. This company has a picture of my daughter on there business page that I did not consent to. I have asked the owner Tish numerous times to take the picture down but she refuses to. She's claiming that there was a signed contract stating that all photos with the dogs from her business can be posted. No contract was ever signed and when asked to present that contract she never did. Posting a picture of my child without my consent for Public figure for her business is not ok. The picture of my daughter is also not in a public setting but In my home and the picture is not private. Anyone can share that photo of my daughter and after further research she needed my consent to post that photo. The owner of Walk n Roll pet sitting and dog walking does not care about anyone but her business and herself. As a mother my daughter and her safety are my top priority. I don't care if the picture of my daughter makes her business look good her business is not my priority. Just like we adults like our privacy, my daughters privacy is just as important! Updating to your response. The photo in fact was still up when I wrote this review I have the photos to prove it. Also I have had multiple people tell me that they still saw the picture of my daughter up on your page while this review was written. You stated that my mother signed a contract stating that all pictures sent to you were to be posted to your page. My mom asked you show that contract multiple times which you failed to do on each occasion. You did not take the photo of my daughter down until there was multiple comments posted on my daughters photo stating what you were doing was wrong. That's when the photo was taken down not all those months ago. Also when you asked for the photo of the dog you told my mom it was only to be sent to the client not posted on your business page. Also no one threatened you. You were simply told to take down the photo or I was going to have to take legal action. Thank god I have photos and time stamps of that photo saved. Tish had a real challenge on her hands with my guy, a 15 yr old Basset Hound, whose got some real separation anxiety along with all the other things that come with a senior hound. During the week he was with Tish and Dave, they kept me in the loop daily how he was doing and did everything and beyond to help him cope with being separated from his Dad. Tish's years of working in a Vet's office comes with a great deal of experience and knowledge of the issues with senior dogs. I bought a Groupon thinking I would be saving a ton of money for my upcoming expensive trip to Miami for dog boarding. I decided to take my dog here thinking that this would be a great place to take my dog on future trips before I go to LAX. Boy was I wrong... I filled out the endless amount of paperwork online and even took my dog in for Tish to look at one weekend before my trip (after trying numerous times with my busy schedule to accommodate this). The day of my trip I dropped my dog Nacho off. Nacho is a 10 month old 20 pound beagle/minature pin mix. He is used to seeing 20+ dogs per day on our walk everyday where I live (1 block from Runyan Canyon). He has never been aggressive with any dog. I then headed to LAX... One hour later my buddy who I listed as my emergency contact calls me and says there is a problem. He asked me what this was all about. I wasn't sure and figured he was injured. I then tried repeatedly to call Tish with no answer. All this about 1 hour from my once a year vacation. I then received an email from her that my dog was overly aggressive and to pick him up. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I scrambled to call all my friends to see who can watch my dog for 1 week. Nobody could. All my friends live about 1 hour + from Redondo and most have busy schedules to accommodate this. I emailed TIsh and let he know my dilemma and she responded by saying that it would be great if I can get him ASAP. WTF!! I finally called a service that would pick up my dog. (which I was charged) and paid about $70 per day. I ended up paying $70 for 5 days plus $60 for pick up for a total of $410. So much for my $70 Groupon and one day at $70 which Tish never refunded. I ended up paying $480 for my Dog during my vacation instead of $140. All because an owner of a dog sitting facility could not handle a 10 month old Min Pin/Beagle mix. Apparently I am not the first this has happened to. Take a look at the reviews below...she also did this to somebody before a trip to Europe. Imagine having to go through this before a trip that was intended to de-stress from a crazy work schedule. I got onto the plane and had nobody set up to grab my dog. I got no sleep on my red eye flight and had to wait until 11AM Miami time before I could start calling places to pick my dog up to correspond with 8AM West Coast Time. Tish should have denied me upon my first evaluation with my dog. Instead she decided to wait until it was difficult to arrange a change by turning him away just before my flight and after evaluating him twice (once a week prior and for about 15 minutes when I dropped him off). This is a terrible business and she often complained about the overload of business from Groupon. Note to Tish: If you cannot handle different dog breeds then find a different business. Maybe next time be more empathetic and answer the phone versus cowardly emailing and offer to refund any amount you have taken. If you do Groupon expect more business and by the way I am glad you will not get any of my future business. read more

Update to my rave review posted last year. I'll start with a positive because I am fully aware that Tish will respond with some vague policy highlighted in bold and the customer is wrong type attitude as I have read on here. I had been using Tish the past year or two for dog boarding when I am away and have spent quite a bit of $$$$. I have no doubt in her capabilities to care for healthy animals. So in that regard, if you are positive your dog will never get sick and you wont be gone long, you are probbaly safe. My dog became ill while in Tish's care (stress related) while I was away on business. Unfortunatly being 3000 miles away, I did everything I could do to find someone to pick up my dog as soon as possible. However, both roomates were away and obviously if I had someone, I woudlnt have needed her services. However, when I told Tish I could have someone get him the next morning, she requested I have someone get him right away. As if it wasnt stressful enough being away and not being able to care for a dog with diarrhea myself, I had to reach out to friends I did not expect to bring him to the vet (in which my judgement was questioned). Then when I requested reinbursement to go towards my vet bill, she kept sending me her cancellation policy. Though I understand a cancellation policy if I were the one canceling, I do not understand that if she cancels on you, you have no rights. She charged me a clean up fee which was no issue but would not issue me a refund of the lousy $100. For a reoccuring customer who has spent thousands, with a fairly easy dog, I foun dthis extremely frustrating. That said, I have a $100 credit that I will never use. Please comment of you would like me to transfer it to you. She does offer doggy day care, which should be safe from your pet being evicted since its not long term care. read more

I would never leave my dog with Tish, the owner of Walk n Roll again. She nearly ruined my vacation by trying to claim at the very last minute (the night before a morning departure) that we had never agreed to a drop off time (we had done exactly that on our first messages via Dogvacay) causing added unnecessary stress to an already stress filled intake process, which, to be fair, was not her fault. I got very sick and took in a emergency rescue dog in the two weeks before we left. Still, I don't think I had so much paperwork registering my kids for school! Several pages of the same questions. Sort of ridiculous. Not one question regarding drop off or pick up times, which is interesting. Tish did not provide any updates on Cody's five day stay. In the one picture she did post he was still in his harness well after being dropped off. In fact, his fur was so matted down under his leash harness when he was picked up that it was obvious it had NEVER been removed for his entire stay! Cody barely ate, which is to be expected, but after three days of not eating I think a caring sitter would entice eating using broth (as she stated she would do in the paperwork) or contact the owner for advice. When I fell and sprained my knee, I needed help quick. My 4 year-old labradoodle is accustomed to long walks in the morning. I tried Wag which I had used with mixed success before. It worked out the first day but the second day they could not find anyone after searching for several hours. That just was not going to work. I did a Google search and found Walk N Roll Pet. Tish, the owner, was to my house in less than an hour to assess Scottie's needs. She brought Lupe, one of her dog specialists, with her. We started right away. I could not have been more pleased. Lupe and Scottie bonded immediately. He was so happy see her every morning and do some running as well as walking. She was a real joy and was on time every day. One day I needed for Lupe to come early so that I could get Scottie to a 9am veterinarian appointment. Those appointments are hard to get these days so I appreciated her flexibility. After 10 days I was recovered enough to resume long walks, but I could not bear to deny Scottie at least some time with his new friend Lupe. So I signed up for a once a week walk for him with Lupe as a special treat for him. I think Lupe enjoys it, too. I could not be happier with Walk N Roll. I have recommended them to a neighbor and will be requesting their help with boarding services the next time I go out of town. read more

Walk N roll Pet Sitting did a great job with my dog Kai this weekend. It was our dog's first time in boarding and all seemed to go well! I used the 3-day groupon pass and it was perfect for this weekend. I reached out to her about a month in advance. We got everything scheduled. I do agree that the paperwork before boarding was a little tedious however, I think its perfectly acceptable. If we are going to trust people to take care of our dogs I am more than happy to provide Tish with as much information as I can to give my dog the best possible care. When we first got there I was not aware that it was a home. At first, I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but then I realized a home setting would probably be more comfortable for him to adjust than a cold looking office building. Her house was very clean and well kept! My dog Kai, gets very shy and scared in the beginning and Tish was very patient with him. She let him calmly get used to the surroundings. She would let him get comfortable with the outside then slowly transition him inside, and then slowly meet the dogs. It was great to know she wasn't overloading him with so much at once. Tish kept us updated as she knew it was our first time apart via email. It was nice to provide us with a little more information since she knew it was tough for us to leave him. Although she is a little tough to reach on the phone I can't really blame her. I wouldn't be thinking about my phone if I had a bunch of dogs to take care of. Anytime I couldn't get her on the phone I just shot her an email and she was very good about responding within reasonable time. My wife originally posted a review for this business, and it wasn't a bad one at that (4 stars is pretty complimentary). She clearly stated in her review that despite some concerns with the decision making process regarding our pet's care, that she was satisfied with the service and would likely still use this business. Well, that's changed. The owner left a surprisingly defensive reply to our review and we contacted her directly with a very civil email with some concerns about her providing identifying information about our pet, with which we were not comfortable. The owner contacted us the same evening by phone, and it quickly became apparent that the intent of the call was not to understand or allay our concerns, but to convince us that we were wrong and misguided. The owner was extremely defensive about a single incident that was unrelated to the reason we contacted her. We clearly stated multiple times that her point was unrelated to our concern regarding privacy. She refused to acknowledge our personal privacy preferences and by the end of the call we felt patronized, accused, and most importantly, ignored. The owner clearly looked past our praise (may I remind the reader that we left a 4 star review?) and fought us on our points of discomfort, indicating that she clearly wasn't interested in listening to her customer. In writing her review, my wife's goal was not to upset or hurt anyone, but rather provide a review of our experiences with this business so that others may reach their own conclusions; that's why we're on Yelp, right? Feeling a bit insulted and upset, my wife promptly deleted her review. After a day of thinking it over, we have decided to lower her 4 star review (which was higher than the overall average of 3.5) and to lower it based on this confrontation. Let me be clear, we're not saying anything negative about her competency in caring for animals or her employees; in fact, we received stellar service from one employee in particular during the boarding of our pet, and we sincerely regret to lose her service over this. I have decided to post this review because, while I doubt this critique will lead to any deep soul searching or reappraisal of her (un)professional customer service, it's in the proper spirit of Yelp to post our experience, good or bad, for others to read. Naturally there are some complimentary reviews here, but I believe our experience was indicative. If you are fawning over her business, then by all means - leave a review. But if you express any concerns, then you should also expect a blisteringly defensive reply. At the conclusion of the confrontational phone call, she asked my wife that we look for a different service for any future boarding needs, believe us, the feeling's mutual. -Response to Owner Reply- An astute reader of my first post will realize that the thrust of our grievance was not with the safety or care of our pet, but rather with the way in which we were treated by this business owner. We did initially express some privacy concerns, but that's clearly something that Tish does not respect and we're far beyond that point now. Furthermore, in her calculated attempt to discredit our experience, she employs a series of misrepresentations; whether intentional or otherwise, I think the reader can draw their own conclusions on her unprofessional nature and condescending approach to clients. So here is full disclosure: My wife and I have both grown up with, and owned, dogs before. Our current one is an approx 2 year old, female, shiba inu mix. She is mid-sized, and weighs approx 45 lbs. She is a rescue and we've only had her for around 7 months now, so we acknowledge that training is a process, but this dog does not have severe behavioral problems (she's actually better than my first dog, which I raised from a puppy). Tish did not "educate" us of our dog's separation anxiety; that is a disingenuous assertion. Separation anxiety was an issue I specifically raised during the meet/greet when explaining our efforts to crate train. I never indicated that our dog had escaped multiple times, because that is factually untrue. The fact is that she tested the limits of her crate within the first week of her adoption, and due to shoddy construction, we chose to reinforce the crate to prevent injury. Tish has taken this eminently prudent decision to indicate our dog is an escape artist and repeats this trope despite our clarification. We can go on and on defending ourselves as dog owners or as generally reasonable people, but the point is this: we shouldn't have to. We shouldn't have to feel that our concerns have been repeatedly ignored when dealing with any business. This dispute has nothing to do with animal care or the quality of her employees. There is a troubling pattern of disrespect and factual inaccuracy. Let's be honest - any perceptive reader will see that Tish clearly just doesn't care to listen to her clients' concerns. read more

My husband and I needed a place for our pups over the holidays. I had seen Walk N Roll Pet Sitting online previously and felt that it might be a good fit for us. Tish's home is a perfect place for our dogs as it's a similar set up to our home environment. We brought our dog for 3 days of boarding, after buying a Groupon. The dogs stay in a home. They get to sleep on dog beds or even a doggy couch and get to play in the fenced-in backyard. Payment happens online through paypal, ahead of time (so pick-up is really easy, no check book required). Tish was available by email and gave us a info about our dog while we were away. Drop off time is as early as 8am. The only thing that's a little cumbersome is the Boarding Contract and Assessment form. These are both Word documents that require editing, saving, and sending back to Tish. Is there anyway to turn this into a online form? read more

Tish was so great with our 18 month Yorkie!! We've NEVER left him before with anybody besides our own family, and were very nervous about the idea of leaving him for 6 days straight while we were on vacation, but Tish made him feel comfortable from the beginning. During our consultation with her she set us at ease by letting us check out her dog friendly facility, and brought out her extremely friendly pug to meet and play with our Yorkie, which made our puppy VERY happy!! Our small 12 year old dog, Daisy, stayed at Walk N Roll while we were on a two week trip in Europe. Tish seemed very knowledgeable about dog behavior and was interested in Daisy's personality, so I felt that Daisy would be in good hands. Tish kept us updated by email on how Daisy was doing (she settled in easily), which I appreciated and kept my mind at ease. I was referred to Tish at Walk N Roll Pet Sitting by a good friend. I was going away for a week over the holidays and needed someone to watch my dog Buddy, and the same good friend was also going away, so we thought it would be a good idea for our dogs, who area also good pals, to "vacation" together at the same place. Previously when I went out of town and couldn't find anyone to stay at my house with my dog, I would take him to a nearby large boarding facility where the dogs all run around in one big room. I hated leaving Buddy here, because even after only a night or two, he would always come home exhausted and anxious from so much activity and no personal care. I was so thrilled to find a home environment to take Buddy for the week, and his friend Grace would be there too to ease his anxiety as well. From the moment I walked in to Tish's house, I knew it was the right place. Her home is so clean and cozy, I wanted to stay there too! Buddy was able to feel at home at Tish's house, he had a nice yard to play in and comfortable place to relax. There were a few other dogs for Buddy to play with, but not too many to cause anxiety or lack of sleep. Tish gave Buddy very personal care, even emailing me mid week with a concern that Buddy wasn't eating enough (he doesn't have a big appetite normally). When I picked him up he looked very happy and healthy, not exhausted and scared as he used to when coming home from other facility.
