Due to dropping my car off early in the morning I wasn't sure if I would be able to get everything done before I had to be at work. On the way to dropping my car off someone from the Hertz called to confirm that my shuttled that I had scheduled should still meet me at the body shop to pick me up. This was amazing because I didn't have to call them to confirm or worry that I wouldn't have a ride to get to them. Someone picked me up in a matter of minutes of me dropping off my car and I was well on my way to getting my rental that the insurance company had reserved. Once I got there I was immediately assisted and was placed in a rental car. The only thing that I would have to say is it took them a while to get my rental gassed up and washed and ready for me to just go which resulted in me being late for work. Once everything was situated the gentlemen who was assisting me walked around the car with me noting any damages or notes about the car prior to me driving off. He was also very helpful in informing me of their gas plan as well as insurance policy if I didn't want to use my own. Once we both agreed that everything was good I electronically signed the paperwork and was well on my way. Once my car was done at the body shop I was able to return my rental with no problems and they had someone driving the shuttle ready to take me to the body shop to get my car. Although due to the circumstances of being without my car for a couple days Hertz made my experience very accommodating as if I didn't miss a beat not having my own personal car.

I would recommend renting from a company off-airport to avoid the trouble since it seemed like the other companies here also did not have cars available.

With no rental cars available at our landing destination in Delaware, we made the journey to Philadelphia to rent a car. We had a lot of ground to cover, visiting family in NJ and GA--with Georgia as our final stop. After a frustrating experience in Philly (more on that in another review), I ended up having to return the car in Georgia. I initially went to the Albany, GA location, which showed as open online--but to my surprise, it was permanently closed. Tired, stressed, and running on only 3 hours of sleep, I was desperate to find a real person to help. Customer service was no help--just endless automated responses. That's when I called Hertz in Valdosta, GA, and was connected to Lauren. She was patient, kind, and understanding. She simply said, "Bring the car here--we'll take care of it." And they did. When I arrived, Lauren and her supervisor (whose name I sadly can't remember) were professional, compassionate, and efficient. They reviewed the car, confirmed the pre-existing damages using the time-stamped photos I had taken, and closed out my rental without any hassle. After such a rough experience, their level of care and attention meant the world to me. I may be on the fence about renting with Hertz again overall, but if you're in the Valdosta, GA area--this location is truly top-tier.
