I would like to share a recent experience that I had at Walker Ford. I have purchased three vehicles from Walker in the past, dating all the way back to the early 2000s, and I was anticipating another good experience when I went to the dealership a few weeks ago. My husband and I are ( were) in the market for a 2025 F150. We wanted to take advantage of the 0% interest for 60 months incentive. We stopped into the dealership on March 14th. Jake met us as we arrived. We spent about an hour looking at the inventory and narrowing down the trucks that were of interest to us. ( XLT, 2WD, 4 door crew cab). Jake handed us a piece of paper when we left with the trucks VIN number and price. During the next 2 weeks, we visited other dealerships and I was in communication with Jake asking various questions about the truck at Walker. We decided to purchase the truck at Walker. I called Jake and asked him to send me the proposal so I could give him a deposit. He said that we could do the bulk of the paperwork electronically, which we were happy about. When I received the proposal, the price of the vehicle was inflated almost $14,000. I called him immediately. He told me that the Internet price was only available if we paid cash! At no time, EVER, in my talking with him, my texting with him or looking at the trucks in person did he tell me that the Internet price was only available if we paid cash. In fact, he knew that we were looking at the 2025's to take advantage of the 0% interest. When I questioned him about this in detail, he said it was on the website. I looked over the website, and unless it's buried in some tiny fine detail, It's not obvious that paying cash is the only way to get an Internet price. We were extremely surprised and obviously disappointed. Does it really matter to a dealership if I pay cash or if I finance the vehicle? Either I'm paying you for the car or the bank is. How I pay for it, should be irrelevant. The worst part about the whole experience was a statement that Jake made at the end of our phone conversation. Jake said..."When you go to another dealership and they screw you over worse, you can give me a call". So far, not good. Have been awaiting a return call from the service department for months. Moved here from Texas and my dealership in Texas sent an email to the service manager requesting them to service my vehicle and to contact me....that was July 2025. I've contacted them several times and still can't get a call back. Not a good look for the service department! read more

UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNACCEPTABLE. They don't like to hold accountable for their mistakes. If i could give this place a no star, i would. Had a recall for our car and we called this place bc it was the closest to our location. We were told on the phone that this service will only take 30min or less. With that being said, we've made appointments for other things within the same time frames. The day of service, they told my husband that the service will take at least 2 hours. So he asked if they could at least get him a ride to whatever he had to go to, since this was not the plan, and they said they offer shuttle service at 7am 10am 1pm. The time of appointment at ford was 11am, my husband got there on time, expecting that the time of completion of service will be between 11:30-11:45am. THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. THEY EXPECTED HIM TO WAIT FOR SHUTTLE AT 1PM. THEY DID NOT EVEN OFFER HIM AT LEAST AN UBER TO COMPENSATE FOR THEIR LIES AND INCONVENIENCE IT HAD CAUSED US. THIS IS THE FIRST FORD EVER THAT WEVE BEEN TO THAT "NEVER" OFFER UBER RIDES TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. MY HUSBAND CALLED ME AND TOLD ME WHAT HAPPENED, SO I CALLED THE PREMISES TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON AND HOW COULD THEY DO SUCH THING, AND I WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR 10-15min AND GOT HUNG UP ON AFTER THAT. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! WORST EVER! LIARS AND UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES. I had the worst sale experience here I have ever had in my life. Do not go to this dealership or work with its representatives. I found a car online and made an offer on the car via phone calls and emails. I received a proposal and returned it counter signed immediately. I confirmed in email I was paying all cash and could send a deposit or wire funds immediately to hold the car. I also spoke with two employees who confirmed that the car was mine and would not be shown to anyone else. Meanwhile while trying to move the deal forward and getting no response or call back from employees come to find out they showed the car to someone else on lot and apparently accepted that offer over mine. I worked with Stacy Bold on the deal, who mysteriously was always with a customer when I kept calling back to try and figure out why they were even showing the car when I signed a proposal. Then when I got the manager Tracy (who was the one the signed off on our proposal - so she new the car was being sold) she told me it was "first come first serve" and that they were going to sell this individual cause he was "there in person". If it's truly first come first serve then my offer should have stood. When I asked her why the car was even taken out on a test drive and said I could wire the funds immediately she said it happened while Stacy was "tied up". I feel both Tracy and Stacy acted in bad faith. Were deceitful in their business practices and didn't do their job. They essentially went forward knowingly showing the car after it had already been sold to me in an attempt to get a higher price. Legally I could sue because I signed a proposal authorizing and agreeing to sale terms prior to the other buyer. SCAM ARTISTS AT THEIR FINEST. RUDE INSULTING. AND JUST PLAIN BAD AT THEIR JOBS. THIS DEALERSHIP SHOULD HONESTLY BE ASHAMED TO HAVE INDIVIDUALS DOING BUSINESS THIS WAY. Tracy told me she'd "call me back if the guy's financials didn't go through". DON'T BOTHER! read more

Their service department provides no customer service. It's difficult to get an appointment, it's difficult to get a replacement vehicle when your vehicle requires multiple days to complete repairs, even though you have a contract requiring a replacement. You can't get a return call after you have left multiple messages over several days. Over time we have purchased three vehicles from this dealership but will buy no more from them. read more

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Walker Ford with the purchase of a new, 2022 Maverick Hybrid. Tim, Rob, and Tracy were all great to work with and very helpful along the way. I was in and out of the finance office in less than 10 mins, and there was no high pressure to purchase additional products. They were so great I ordered another vehicle from them as well! read more

We bought our Ford Maverick the 2nd week of November from one of the higher rated salesmen there. We paid cash for it and like the vehicle very well. Since than we have had 1 question to ask B. Hall and have called him a minimum of 4 times to talk to him without 1 call back. It is like well they paid cash so we are done no need for customer service. Went in and talked to an assistant manager and was told that was not how they operated and he would speak to him. Well that did alot of good we are still waiting. I have purchased several vehicles from this dealership. I just bought a certified 2019 Ford Fusion. Gold Certified means the car has passed 172 point inspection. Well, line 152 of inspection report says normal wear on tires. This unit has good tread depth, however chunks of tread are missing on all 4 tires. They have been inspected by tire professionals and deemed unsafe. I asked for help after noticing this at the 3rd week of ownership and was denied any help. I say go to another Ford Dealer as these people do not care about your safety. read more

This looks is the closest dealership to my home. They have very poor response for service. 30 min hold times are the norm. Any work takes a week. Will be finding a new vendor for sure. read more

On 7-7-24 around 2:20pm, I went to Walkers Ford in Clearwater. They have a Raptor R in black in stock. Upon arriving, a salesman asked what I was looking for, which I responded the Raptor R. The salesman then walked away without giving his name or if I have any questions etc. . After looking at the Raptor R, I had to find him to ask what they are asking for market adjustment. He replied, then walked away, sat down and started talking with other employees. I am looking to drop from 2 cars to one and sold my Porsche earlier in the week. I have a written offer for a Raptor R at another dealership and wanted to see if they could beat the price by giving me a better value for my trade or beating the market adjustment fee at the other dealer. If they could have, I would have purchased the Raptor that day. Unfortunately, this sales rep acted like I was a bother. No they were not busy with other clients, there was only one other customer at the dealer. Whether buying a 10k car or a 140k vehicle you deserve better customer service than what this dealer provides. read more

FW of Walker Ford. I've reached out to several people at the dealership. No ONE, not even Wes Walker would return my call. I even called the service department asking for the head person of service. Instead I was transferred to the person who's dealt with me the whole time. It was a joke, as he didn't believe me and I had to drive from St Pete to prove to him what my dashboard was showing. ‍ I'm not some stupid female who likes wasting my time driving back and forth from your dealership. You ALL should be ashamed of yourselves. With the amount of time the car has been in there it's a LEMON. No one wanted to help me, not even Dearborn, MI. I guess when someone is injured by the issues they will listen. You are the worst deal ship that I've dealt with in 55 years. read more

The service department needs a reality check. Don't waste your time buying multiple commercial vehicles from them, the second your 100k truck has a default issue it'll sit in their shop for 4 weeks with no update, and when you call you're a bother and get awful customer service from their "service manager" Ryan. Save yourself the headache talking to him. You have to climb the chain to even get attention here .. after buying multiple vehicles. Can't imagine how they treat others. I've brought the customer service to their attention multiple times and get shrugged off each time. Go elsewhere. read more

I was looking for a truck to replace the F150 that I bought from Walker Ford 3 years ago. Like most people I returned to Walker Ford because I had a good experience the first time. I went in and talked to Rodnell Miller and gave him the info that I was going to use Capital One Auto Financing for this deal because I had already set everything up because I have had problems with my credit in the past and gave him the pass code. Well then the finance manager got a response from Capital One and never told me the response and continued to run my credit through 3 more vendors, with out my approval or even telling me what he was doing. I asked for the owner because it is a smaller dealership in a big city, so why not support the small guy. The manager came back and said what is going on and why way I so mad and yelling at the finance guy and immediately told me to get out didn't even care about the problem, just get out now is what he said. And then went on to say well if your credit wasn't so bad because you don't make your payment this would never happen and they wouldn't run my credit multiple time to different companies. Look I know my credit is bad and I have have problems in the past and yes I am paying for them now and will continue to pay for them but the customer service at Walker Ford is only for the credit score of 800 is what I get from this whole interaction!! And yes I am paying for it my current truck loan is 24.99% and have not misses a payment in 3 years and the Capital One Car I had before this truck was at 22.99% and paid it off with out missing a payment. After making an appointment 10 days out to get brake work done on my F150, they managed to keep the truck all day without a) updating me about the work and b) not doing anything to the truck. After no one returned my calls, I arrived at 4:30pm to find my truck still hadn't been worked on and that it would be 7pm before my truck was finished. At any time they could have updated me about the lack of progress or called me before I came in to tell me they wouldn't be able to work on it that day or just done the work on it to complete the appointment. Very poor customer service. I do not intend to use Walker again to service my F150. I've had better service at other local Ford dealers. read more

Terribile customer service in regards of communication and follow-up. Have had issues with my car for several months. I have taken it in three times and each time they came back and said they could not find anything wrong, and it must be a technology update. *Perhaps reaching out to Ford themselves to see what their take is on it would be a idea. The tech who drove it with me could feel the jerking it was doing.* Each time we did this; the issue never went away. Clearly, it's not a technology update issue. Especially when their own service tech has said Ford is in trouble for its bad transmissions. In October I reached out again letting them know of this issue continuing to happen and the said that when had an ETA for a loaner car they would call me. Two months had passed with zero communication but at least three calls and voicemails from me. Finally I reached out to the service manager, and he was lovely during this chat. Answered questions and set a timeline of end of Jan as an estimate. That time came and went with no communication so at the end of Feb I left him a massage. No call returned. I reached out to the manager of the dealership twice and finally the service manager responds with attitude and annoyed saying that he can't give me an update on something that hasn't changed on his part. * Calling any acknowledging that you have no new status, but I am still on his list wouldn't be a bad thing to do.* He said I could leave it there for a few days and they can try and figure it out but only when they know what the issue is then they can do a loaner car. I told him I can't give up my car for a few days as I have children and not have something to drive. He recommended me reaching out to a new dealership as the warranty will expire in August and they can't fulfill the service right now. Ony when I call and leave two messages to the general manager (who did not even return either calls) did the service manager call me. This is sad because I have been taking my car there for three years and up until this- and the time of leaving the oil cap off at an oil change and oil going everywhere staining the inside of my white hood- they have been lovely. We are a Ford Family. Walker Ford is the worse dealer we have ever dealt with. We were still under warranty in July 2004. Our A.C. was blowing warm air out of driver. Brought our 2018 Ford Taurus in. It was only in for an hour. RYAN called and said it was only low on freon. Now we found out it couldn't of been just low it needs a condenser and actuator. Cost $1300.00 We were going to buy a new car from a very nice Salesman but do to the fact we were lied to. The sale is off. I was told Ryan could help. Talked with him this a.m. he was rude . He caused a lost sale. Last year there was a recall on my brother's 2018 Ford Focus. They said they only had one person who could dx the problem and he was in school. My brother had to junk the almost paid off car and take $12000 out of the bank to buy a new Trax 2024. He has asbergers and it brought my heart he works hard at the Beach. A Salesman said he was going to talk with Vince. We will be paying at a repair shop to fix our a.c Never will our family buy another Ford from Walkers!! read more

If your vehicle needs to be repaired and you have the option of bringing it anywhere else and I mean anywhere else do yourself a favor, don't bring it to Walker Ford. I don't know what has happened over the years but this place has definitely gone downhill. We've purchased several vehicles from Walker Ford over the years but will NEVER go back again. My husband works out of town and had to get his truck serviced while he was here, it should have only taken a few days or even one week max for an average repair shop but that's not what happened. I'm not going to get into all the details because it's a long story but facts are Amy that works in the service department should be fired she's very rude, impatient and knows nothing about customer service. Our vehicle sat out in the field for a month, nothing absolutely nothing had been done to it! It had also been parked under a large Birds-nest and had crap all over the vehicle, you could barely see out of the window, I really believe this was done on purpose because things weren't going well after talking to Amy and the service department manager several times. We picked up the vehicle took it to another mechanic and they had it fixed the same day. I bought a brand new Ford transit. It's supposed to get 29 mpg. I only get 6.9 if I'm lucky. The gas light comes on at a full tank saying I have 28 miles to empty. It's been fixed a couple times now and still not working right. The vinyl seats are great other than they used thin vinyl and the metal is poking through and ripping the seats. Bottom of the barrel junk. But the worst part is I contacted the service manager through phone three times now, and email as well and tried escalating it to the to the general manager and not one single person is calling me back! Once you sign your name to buy a car, they don't cater to you any more. This place is the pits. Go elsewhere, trust me. They're products and service is sub-par. Called the service department on 6-25-21. Ryan said to email him photos of my seats. Emailed Ryan on 6-29-21. I called them on 7-22-21 after nobody called me about my seats. Shelly left me on hold 20 min so I hung up and called back. Spoke to Daniel. He is forwarding my info to Vince the manager above Ryan and also to Ryan again. No return call from anyone. I would not recommend Walker Ford for any type of service. They treat your vehicle like trash! The first time I picked up my vehicle after a service, i get in and it reeks of fresh cigarette smoke (we are not smokers). The second time i had it serviced, there was hundreds of bird droppings covering the truck. I mean head to toe, full of bird crap. They had my truck for 6 days to fix a minor leak and I was in complete disbelief they returned my vehicle looking like this. Had an appointment today at noon. Arrived early and checked in. Oil change,rotation and alignment. Was told by appointment person two hours , but today since we drove two vehicles that folks waiting take president ? Why schedule then? Did shopping and lunch showed up at four PM advisor checked they were just starting got the car and left. Last visit was twice the time as well. I made a service appointment at 9:00am on Thursday, November 17, 2022. I was on time with the SUV and dropped it off for the day. I called the company at 2pm to ask if the car vibration noise had been diagnosed, it had not been by that point in time. There are several issues with the company: 1) When calling the service department, expect to be placed on hold for 10 + minutes to talk to someone. 2) When making an appointment, your car may or may not be serviced that day. I picked my vehicle up at 4:30pm. It had been diagnosed, but not serviced. 3) When I called Vince Remano as their usual response indicates, Vince had not returned any of my phone calls. 4) The part that was damaged was not covered under their bumper to bumper warranty, nor was the diagnostic. 5) It appears to me that the service department is WAY understaffed for the volume of repairs it does per day. As a data analyst, I would expect better analysis and resolutions to issues from Walker Ford and the Ford company in general. Extended warranty is "bumper to bumper coverage" before you buy it for $5,000. After you buy it, it is NOT. Enough said. Walker ford service: great people all cool. The problem is in the game of having to come in for service to begin with. everytime I have put my truck in for service I leave with the issue not fixed and/or something else is wrong with my truck. Unfortunately, i bought an extended warranty that does not due what it is intended so ford got me on that.. walker ford specifically has me rattled to the extent I can't leave there believing my issue is fixed without going over all things listed on my $500 thank you invoice And anything remotely related.. My f-250 made a noise when I turned the steering wheel to the side. I took it to this dealership and paid around R$750. The problem was not resolved and has been increasing for two months and the company has not responded to let me know when I can take advantage of the repair, I do not recommend it to my friends. read more

Was only wanting info on leasing and mileage on used cars. Took over 2 hours to deal with pricing and I got in the mail three different credit banks. Never told them I wanted it to run through that and was asked a very uncomfortable racial question when first been talking too. read more

Walker Ford in Clearwater sold my family a nearly $80,000 defective vehicle. There is water sloshing in the frame of my parents brand new KR F150. I chatted and sent the dealership emails and videos of the problem which they claim they never received. Sales manager states he'll do everything he can to help, but then tells me I need to have it "fixed" with my local dealer before they'll take a look and then they'll consider what the market value is on trading it in.The truck has under 8,000 miles and was defective from the beginning (problems started at 1,500 miles). Their advice is for my family to reach out to Ford directly. A licensed Ford dealership is telling my elderly parents to reach out to Ford directly?!?! Purchased a Jeep Wrangler -HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE We purchased the jeep and immediately found out the brakes, brake pads and rotors were bad. I had to throw a fit to get these replaced within the first week. We were also told the lift was a $10,000 lift. The car was pulling to the right so we took it to a Jeep dealership to have it aligned and found out the knuckles on the lift were upside down and the lift at the most was worth $2000. On the first cold day we also found out there is no heat and the jeep is leaking some fluid. Our salesperson Jake knows nothing about cars and has no integrity. Ford as a company sucks. They don't want negative reviews but don't do a damn thing to earn a positive one. Dec14th is the last time I saw my car. Nobody in for knows when I'm getting it back. All I hear is excuses after excuses. They can't even muster up a vehicle to loan me while my car is being repaired. Mind you it's still under warranty. I have to sit here and accept that FORD could give a damn about you after you sign the papers. Subaru on the other hand has been the pinnacle of customer service. Fuck a Ford buy a Subaru. My girlfriend and I purchased a vehicle from Walker Ford earlier this year and it couldn't have gone smoother. We got in touch with a sales associate to setup an appointment and it was smooth sailing from the minute we walked in the door. We sort of knew what we wanted and did a quick test drive. When we returned we went over the financials as well as a quote for our trade in. It was a no brainer. Our sales associate along with the general sales manager went through every rebate that Ford was offering to get us the best possible price and they came through. When we met with the finance manager he was very easy to work with and explained everything in a simple manner. He wasn't pushy, didn't try to sell us additional warranties and whatnot. He made sure to tell us about everything that Walker Ford offers and we did, in fact, order the tire warranty, which has already paid for itself. Our sales associate, Amy Potter was terrific. The General Sales Manager, Ivey Thigpen was a pleasure to work with along with everyone we talked to in the building. There is no doubt in my mind that our next vehicle will be purchased at Walker Ford. read more

Made an appointment today for service at 8 AM. It is now 12:30 and my car has yet to be serviced. When we called the first time at 11:30 we were put into a voicemail without a return call. An hour later we called again to find out because we didn't wait there our car wasn't a priority in spite of a scheduled appointment time. This is completely unacceptable. We made an appointment to fit into the schedule of our day. We now have to cancel another appointment because they haven't bothered to work on our car. I made this appointment with the expectation my car would be completed within a reasonable amount of time, however when we asked if it could be done by 1, we were told it would be tight. This is our first experience with Walker Ford and likely our last... this is disappointing because when we purchased our Ford we were told FordPass would provide quality service at any Ford dealership, there is nothing quality about this experience... read more
