This is one of the best pieces of news I received all week. Anyway, after a couple of furtive episodes since my dear Queen Bee's car was hit by one of their (now ex-) mechanics, I walked in for my Athena car's regular oil change. Lo and behold Mike Bennett has returned to the dealership after the last two plus years away from the fold. As had previously been the case, Mike is totally on top of things and as detail oriented as it gets. All I can say is that Tasca is very lucky to have such a hard worker...One small example is when he asked whether I was gonna wait for my car or no. He then went quickly thru the advantage and disadvantage of both. While I already knew I was not going to wait, these small details are what made Dick Norris a great dealership for keeping my Athena car up and running. It continues now with the Tasca name and so long as the rest of this dealership keeps it going in the same direction...uh: I find myself happy yet simultaneously shocked to offer kudos and praise to a car dealership. Booooooooo booooooo. Major fail If I can't bring a certified cashier check to buy a car, what are we doing? You might as well be in the business of finance instead of selling cars. This guy straight up told us he WILL NOT accept payment from Navy Federal, What?! At first he said that he wouldn't accept a Draft check due to having been burnt in the past. Went in to sell back a suv that we bought there. The sales manger gave a reduced price saying the car fax should a accident. It did not it showed a repair to a mirror and dent. The car wasn't in a accident. It was a parking lot damage. Not thinking a 88 year old would have someone to do some research. 4th car purchased by 1 salesman from Norris Buick. Paid $101,000.00 for a Yukon and GMC refused to replace a cracked HUD cover. Salesman Sean Hamza was no help. GMC customer support was a joke. Spoke with Jack Clagg, Tasca's General Manager, and it was a total waste of my time. The automobile industry appears to have passed Clagg by---not sure why he is still employed. Found a GMC dealership in Palm Beach County that replaced the broken HUD under warranty. Will never buy another vehicle from Tasca. Awful dealership---stay away. read more

Over the past 25 years, we have purchased at least 20 General Motors vehicles (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, and GMC). Of all these purchases we have had two 5-star experiences. The first in 1999 and the second just now at Tasca Buick GMC in Clearwater. Cameron Andrews and Joe Clagg were exemplary! They were professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and not high-pressure. These were true professionals who we will be happy to do business with again and again. We had smaller interactions with Dillon Bishop and Melvin Munoz at the dealership but they too were excellent. All-in-all a five star experience purchasing our latest GM vehicle at Tasca Buick GMC Clearwater. This experience will definitely bring us back when we are ready to buy our next vehicle. read more

Please run and run faster. I bought the oil change and tire rotation package in 2021. They sold this package to me as if I would get some of the value back if I sold my car early or if it was totaled. Well my Denali was totaled from Helene. As if that was not hard enough I lost my entire home and all of my belongings. I am homeless with my three children. Melvin from finance could have cared less. He never even bothered to call me back after he promised he would speak to the "higher ups". All I asked for was a credit on future oil changes that I did not use. I bought my replacement car from Regal and they were so sympathetic. I just want consumers to know this is how they treat hurricane victims. The buying experience was deceptive and the finance guy and the salesman would not disclose the interest rate on the 2024 brand new GMC Sierra 1500 I was buying until the very end of the deal at 8.49%, and I have a FICO credit score of 830, there is no way that should have occurred, Bank of America was the lien holder and they were offering 5.5% and even commented that the loan rate was intentionally marked up for profit. This mean that I would pay almost $10,000. in interest over 60 months. I was able to shuffle my finances and pay off the loan early and ended up selling the truck in trade in. It took 3 months to get my refund back on the tire and wheel warranty that I had purchased thru TASCA, it took many emails and phone calls before they finally gave me a check, after first I was told that it was mailed and I waited and it never showed up, I drove to the dealership and got the check. The salesman was Dan Nachreiner, the Finance manager is Melvin Munoz, the Sales Manager is Joe Clagg. They all seem like nice guys at first, but they're old school thugs running a deceptive 'Stealership', times have not changed. I cannot recommend this dealership, Buyer Beware!!! Do yourself a big favor and steer clear of Tasca Buick GMC and others like them, the predators are there and at other places like this and will smile in your face to earn your business while picking your pockets. read more

Honestly, The dealership was very nice. When arriving to the place, the car I was interested in buying (a Mazda Miata RF) was parked outside. As soon as I walked over to go look at the car before going into the dealership, the salesman approached me. He was very laid back & wasn't pushy at all. Negotiating price was straight forward, etc Then, sitting down with the finance guy was rather easy. Getting our numbers & signing the papers felt like it took 5 minutes. I had my Buick Encore towed to Tasca in May and the service associate was Eno. He was very nice, and it was diagnosed that my car needed a valve cover and basic services. I agreed to $1,100.00 of service.i went out of town for two weeks, upon return my car was displaying same issues. I was told it had a two year warranty. I returned and Eno said, no engine light, so it must be fine. Well, my car was not alright. I took to Dimmitt who ran a diagnostics test and my car had big issues, some of which were not doing the correct work to begin with. I called Toby, service manager on Friday, yet no return call until I called him again today. He was not apologetic and did not offer to honor their warranty. Well, I visited this dealership once to get a new key fob for my Encore. That visit went well so I came back for service. Lexi S was extremely pleasant and helpful. I ended up getting an oil change and rotate tires, and also a brake fluid flush because my car is 4 yrs old. No pressure at all, the whole experience was very smooth and they gave me a free carwash! I'm kinda fussy, so it was nice to have nothing to nitpick. All the tires were set correctly, etc. No issues. And the bill was quite reasonable. Absolutely incredible experience with Dick Norris GMC. We had been searching for a new large SUV for a couple months and were set on a few specifics. We came across a 2020 Yukon XL Denali that had all we were looking for so we expressed interest to the dealership. We were put in touch with Jared first, who I believe might be a manager. He was very attentive and got us in touch with Sean. Sean was our salesman and I seriously can't say enough good things about him. He was extremely attentive to our needs and accommodating of our requests. He made us feel very comfortable and while he worked with us on a deal we never felt pressured or coerced. Additionally, there were no hidden "gimmicks" with Dick Norris GMC. Many dealerships stated a low price only to hike the price once you show interest in a vehicle. This dealership was true to their word and the price quoted online is the price you get. The showroom was clean, employees (managers, finance, receptionist, and salesmen) were friendly, and together they won our business not only this time but moving forward. Had warranty work done, I live 3 hours away so this is not my dealership as I was only passing through. Upon service I said don't email me for ads, newsletters, updates, offers or anything and was assured I wouldn't. Every 1-3 months I get an email from them from which I never agreed to and never signed up for. I have tried to tell them I did not sign up but they continue to send emails. On the morning of 8/5 My new to us Suburban would not start. We purchased the car in Tampa and had already decided we'd pick a local dealer for service. Due to COVID, we haven't needed even an oil change, so had no relationship established. I called 3 Chevy dealers, all of whom couldn't have cared less if I came to their service departments. I was told by all of them that they couldn't even look at it til the following week (Autonation Chevy of Clw even said Thursday (whole week later) was when they'd get to look at it. Thankfully I called DickNorris of Clearwater. I spoke to Mike Bennet in service. He said if I could get the truck towed there he'd take a look right away. Due to a 4 hour wait for a tow, tge car didn't get here until after the closed, but by the time I called when DickNorris opened, they had already looked at it, and had tired a few things. Mike called Ally the Extended Watranty provider and got everyotng squared away. Mike called me to let me know it would be ready by 3 on the first day they had it. the awesome shuttle driver picked me up (I can't recall his name) at home and told me stories about people he'd driven for on the ride over over. Upon arriving at the dealership, mike greeted me, walked me over to cash out and the ladies there were awesome as well. All in all a crappy situation mad made less of a problem and they fixed my truck in less than a day. GM family loyalty is a joke at this dealership, was told the prices reflect that discount. This was not true per GM. Was advised by the sales team that it's better to have extra miles that less on your lease, was under the impression that what miles are not used would give you a credit at the end of lease. That was a joke. We also tried to buy the car and they wanted almost as much as the new car price. The last lease was with Cadillac and they treated us great. Never going back to them. read more

My car, which I paid for a full extended warranty, has been in the shop since mid DECEMBER! It's been almost FOUR months, because they cannot get parts. The gentleman in service has been wonderful, but the fact that the dealership cannot offer to buy back my car so that I can function (I use my car for business), is crippling my business! I've been patient and kind and understanding, but there really should be a better plan in place for situations like this, such as offering to buy me out of my car, or giving me a comparable car (size) as the one I own until parts can be secured. RUN from this dealership! If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Dick Norris may have been bought out by Tasca but their service department is just as corrupt as it was when it was owned by Dick Norris. Perhaps they retained the same employees? I bought my 2012 Acadia new and had all of my servicing done at Dick Norris until the day I brought my car in for scheduled maintenance and they convinced me I needed a "valve job" at 40,000 miles. I told them I needed to talk to my husband. I made phone calls to other dealerships and our former auto technician in KY before giving them an answer. When I called back to tell them I didn't want them touching the valves, they told me "too late, we already started". My husband was furious when he got back in town. From then on, all of our servicing was done at Midas which has a licensed GMC mechanic on staff. In November, our car went in for servicing because it wouldn't accelerate. After doing diagnostics on the car, we were told it needed the much sought after Engine Control Module which could take 6 months to a year depending on the supply chain issue. (A $550 repair under normal circumstances) They suggested taking it to the GMC dealership because we would have better luck getting the part. However, due to mistrust, I towed the car car back home to wait for the part. In April, we were told that Dick Norris was bought out by Tasca Automotive Group so we called them. They said no problem, have the car towed over and we will get the part for you. A week after it was dropped off, we received a phone call telling us we needed a tune up! How can they determine it needs a tune up when it still doesn't have the ECM? We said NO! Weeks go by and they tell us they installed the part but it's running really rough and "it needs a tune up". We were highly suspicious given our problems with Dick Norris. Again we said no, we would come get the car when we got back in town. Long story short...they convinced us that Midas didn't use the correct plugs and we needed genuine GMC plugs. When we arrived to pick up the car, the windshield was cracked and although the car started...it wouldn't move because now they claim it needs a catalytic converter! (How could they claim it needed a tuneup when it wouldn't even move when it was put into gear?) Turns out, they parked the car using a fork lift! It never needed a tune up! The spark plugs were the same exact sparks plugs Midas used on my vehicle 1,400 miles earlier. And it gets worse. My husband was arranging for a tow truck and the service manager told my husband (not a mechanic) that all he had to do was disconnect the air flow sensor (and he showed him HOW to do it) and the car would drive. My husband left the dealership to drive 1 mile at 15mph to Midas because he was highly suspicious of the work done at Tasca. Midas was horrified at their advice!!! That one mile drive totaled my car. My first non-Chevrolet Lease, and Sean and Donna made it an absolute breeze! I just moved here from up North three months ago, and needed to replace my current lease. Sean was in constant contact via email the day before I came in for a test drive. The below email was sent to Brent Boostrom in response to an email asking about my last visit. He's completely ignored my email for over a month, but I did receive another from him inviting me to share my experiences on social media. Here you go, Brent! Concerns? Absolutely. Jack in your south county Service Dept. (on Belleair Road & US 19) told me two bold-faced, outright lies. When I called to tell him the Eclipse needed an oil change and that a "service Engine" light was on, I asked him whether I should bring this car to the north county Service Dept., or if he thought they could handle the repair there. He told me to bring it there, so I did. When he called later on, he said the car would need to go to the north county Service Dept. after all, but that he would see that it was driven there and back (lie #1), and once that had been done he would call me to pick up the car. Later that day he called and said, "The car is ready" (lie # 2). Within 24 hours of picking up the car, the light came on again. I called and Jack told me to take the car to the north county office - no explanation, no apology - just take it there & ask for Lenny, so I did. When I arrived, Lenny asked to see the bill from the south county service dept. He pointed out that the service needed on the Eclipse hadn't been done, and then he showed me that I hadn't been charged the $75 for the necessary service, as if that made a difference. He didn't apologize for wasting my time. He didn't offer me a discount. I had to make an unnecessary trip, using my gas, wasting my time, because Jack of your south county Service Dept. LIED to me - twice. When Jack called to tell me the car was ready, I presumed that he'd done what he told me he would do. When the same light came on & I called Jack again, I expected at least an apology. When I had to bring the car to the North County office, I expected Lenny to acknowledge your company's short-falling, make-up for this waste of my time and gas, or at the very least sympathize. None of my expectations were met. I have been a loyal customer since the day you opened your prior location on US 19. Everyone in my family brought their vehicles (four currently) to your service department on a regular basis. Now I can no longer trust any of your service people to do what they say they will or to make it right when they don't. Please remove us from your records. Not an all hands in deck dealership they want your money but they are not customer focused and most are rude and arrogant. Went today to look for a new 2021 GMC 1500 AT4 package. Looked at 2 identical trucks with the only difference being one had running boards, which it was not supposed to have and the other did not have running boards, which was listed on the window sticker. The difference in price was $1,095. I explained to the salesman I was impartial to the running boards and would rather have the vehicle without it. He walked to his manager and was advised they were not able to sell the truck without the running boards attached due to the sticker having them. Minutes later the manager walked in and said "You don't like the steps." I advised I would rather have the truck without them or pay the difference for power steps. The manager said "We will take $500 off the truck with no steps." In other words they were trying to make me pay $595 for no running boards on the truck and they would not budge on the price. I was called back after leaving saying the price could be reduced $200 more, which would still be $395 higher than the price originally, again, without the running boards. The actions by the sales manager completely turned me against the dealership and I would not recommend them to anyone. I would rather pay more at another dealership than deal with someone who is not appreciative of the money I was willing to spend. read more

Have spent the last few weeks shopping for a new GMC Terrain and knew what I wanted and what I would pay. I have a GM employee discount and a clean trade. I am a cash buyer. The internet salesman could barely form a sentence and never heard of punctuation! He passed my info off to Joe Capiello , manager, who was rude and dismissive. The only good thing was that he told me there was no dealer out there that would give me what I wanted and if anyone could beat their out-the-door price, I should take it. Good advice! Take your business elsewhere. This dealership has terrible customer service and high cost for parts. I went in to get an oil change and replace headlight bulbs in my Grand Prix, and it cost $370! Ridiculous. James in service talked a mile a minute, as if he didn't have time to talk to me. When my mother spoke to Dick about the cost breakdown he rudely told her they "don't give anything away, we're not the government here." To top it off, on the drive home my car started making a weird noise which wasn't there before, and I'll have to take it into another mechanic now to see what the problem is. In 2016 we purchased, what was labeled, a certified preowned GMC Acadia along with an additional extended warranty that only applies to certified preowned vehicles. The extended warranty was purchased at the suggestion of the finance team who completed all necessary paperwork. We brought our vehicle to be serviced at another GMC dealership and they noticed a motor mount was warn. After reviewing the extended warranty T&Cs, this item should be covered. However, when our service writer tried to run the claim through the system, it was denied as the car was not certified preowned and therefore, the extended warranty was not valid. We immediately called the Dick Norris dealership, only to get passed around and told it was services issue, then a finance issue, and finally a sales issue. After a day of getting passed around, the sales manager finally looked into the issue, which turned out to be someone at the dealership changed the status of the car from certified to not certified on the date of purchase. Thus, not only were we out the money we paid for the extended warranty, but we were also cheated out of the premium price you pay for a certified preowned car vs a preowned car. After asking for our money back, we keep getting the car salesman approach of hiding behind another level of management, in this instance the GM as he has the almighty power, yet will not reach out to us personally. The sales manager has no longer called back as he promised to. It appears they do not want to address this issue that was created by the dealership and has taken a hard stance in refusing to reimburse us for the extended warranty costs we paid for, as well as the premium we paid to purchase a certified preowned car. Very unfortunate as all warranty paperwork the dealership provided is for a certified car. Buyer beware, a true bait and switch! read more
