I do NOT recommend this dealership for service. Brought our 2018 Buick Enclave to have a diagnostic check on the air conditioning in March 2026. They said both the front and auxiliary evaporator cores were leaking, and both needed to be replaced, at a total cost of $5266. This seemed to be an excessive estimate after doing a bit of research. So I took our vehicle to another Buick dealership. Had them run the same type of dye diagnostic check on the air conditioning for a second opinion. They said only the auxiliary evaporator core was leaking and the front evaporator core was fine and not leaking. They charged a total of $1600 to repair the air conditioning. I would rate Crown Buick service department no stars if I could. If you do choose to get a service estimate at this dealership, I strongly suggest you get a second opinion. Better yet, I recommend you skip this dealership and save yourself the time and trouble. read more

I will never buy a car at a dealership they cost $3,000 for an addendum buy something that I don't need but some place else

recently got a 2021 GMC 2500, and while it's a strong and reliable-looking truck, it did come with a few problems. There was a weird noise coming from the engine, along with noise in the brakes and from the tires while driving. On top of that, the battery was leaking and had corrosion on it, which needed attention. Even with these issues, I'm still glad I got the truck, and I'm working on fixing the problems so it can run the way it should. And I also made a appointment with José Castillo to check my truck, and I asked for a rent truck for free but they said u have to for 2 weeks,two days later they said that my truck was fixed, he said the brakes is just clean , the motor noise is normal , the noise in the tires is because the truck is in auto and supuse in 2wd ,and the battery needs to be replaced, and I have to pay the half price for the new battery. I payed 180 for half of the price of the battery.Two days later I called again because the car had the same problems and the light of the air filter is on,I gave them my car again and they said that I needed to change my filter, and I had to pay 50 dollars.when it was in the dealer they opened the hook to check the filter and I realized that they didn't replace my battery,in that moment that got made because I payed for that battery two days ago. Then I realized that the mechanic was not professional and didn't know what he was doing, and I felt scared and I felt like I didn't trust them. The next month I called again because I got worried for the engine noise,iAd appointment and I brought it to the best mechanic with a lot of experience there,he checked my truck just by listening to it nothing and he said that it was normal,then I realized that it was going to be hard because nobody wanted to help.I talked to the manager and he didn't want to help me. Long story short i brought my truck to Brandon Cadillac and they checked my car and said that you have to replace the engine, replace the bracks, and the pitman arm. I got made because I bought a certicate truck and in reality the car was in really bad condition I felt frustrated and betrayed. I did a complain for the GM corporation they said sorry for what happened in this situation so they decided to actually help me, they gave me the car January 13 2026, they gave me my car in good condition they fixed all of it. I've called / emailed 5 times over the course of Dec and Jan to the service dept for a simple bedrail install (and a new tire on a 2024 Sierra) 5 calls in six weeks and still not scheduled. Today I came into Crown Buick GMC VERY excited to make a purchase. Unfortunately I was not met with the same excitement. I spoke to one of the salesmen over the phone, to which he answered any questions I had and sent me over a link to check out their inventory. However as soon as I walked in, I felt like they were not interested in taking care of me at all. Not sure if it's because of how I looked or if they just did not believe I was going to make a purchase. I bought a 2020 Certified pre-owned Buick Enclave with 53,000 miles from Boris and about 30 seconds after driving off the lot the power steering froze up. Could barely turn the wheel, putting myself and others in a potentially dangerous situation. I immediately drove it back to the lot and since it was 7:30 the doors were locked. Knocked on the door and someone took my keys and said they would send to service the next morning. Had to Uber home. Here we are over 2 weeks later and being told there is no ETA as the part needed is back ordered. So I am now paying for a car that Immediately went into the shop, and could potentially be there for up to 6 months, maybe longer. I asked for a refund given the situation but only offered an exchange for something the same price, which there happens to be nothing in inventory. I knew something was fishy with this dealership when about 8 months ago I came in to test drive a Mercedes but was told the manager had driven it home for the night.... All the way to Sarasota. I should've listened to my better instincts and avoided this dealership as it's obvious they treat their used cars like garbage. Used to be my go to dealership for years , last NEW car we purchased the brake calipers had rust before the 4th payment.. waited over two weeks to hear from service department (after they took pictures) never responded. Finally after complaining to the switch board operator she sent them a email , then I got a call from the service department saying ( they found the pictures on their phone the night before and forgot to show them to the technician) . This review is about the service Department and how you should never just trust them. I deleted my original post after receiving a call from Service manager ............. The service manager did call me after seeing this review and promises that it was a communication error. All I can say is we will see.. Trust is earned. I am sure if you are reading this you are doing your research. Although they are pricey they do good work, the service rep on the other hand is a salesman. In my case I knew what was wrong and I only wanted the problem I came in with fixed and the Rep tried to sell me something in addition to my needs. His communication to me was not good. However the Manager on his call to me was clear that he would use this as a training point and talk to his Service reps. Point is if you need the work done they do good work. If you are going in for an oil change and they tell you you need other work done, thats what you need to question. Can it wait? Get a second opinion, in my case, I am a mechanic and I can do the work myself if it is something I want to do. read more

I didn't end up purchasing from the Crowne Buick location, but I wanted to leave a review for Kyle. I wasn't looking for a GMC vehicle, but they had what I was looking for based on my preferences of used SUVs. Kyle took about an hour with me to test drive, answer my questions, and share with me their offer on the car. As I wasn't making a decision that day (I was looking at 5 of the same models that weekend in various locations), he understood that there wasn't any hard feelings if I decided to not go with him. I would have loved to do business with him based on his personality and willingness to help me find what I was looking for in a not-so-pushy manner. Ultimately, I did go with a different trim package that had about 10,000 less miles, so it really came down to best value for my dollar. If I could have picked who I wanted to buy from, Kyle would have been at the top of my list! Thank you, Kyle, for the attention to detail and help you provided to me. I bought a car from them and they said they were a good company and there was a warranty on the vehicle for 6000 miles or 6 months. I drove it for less than 2 months and less than 3000 miles and the car started leaking oil from the motor. They said the warranty would not cover that. I called the company and they said they would help with 10% which is nothing. They gave me the price of $4K to fix the problem. It is a big lemon and a bad business when the company doesn't stand by its cars. They did not inspect this vehicle and sold it to me for almost $30K dollars. The car is a 2017 Yokun Excell Model GMC with 105k miles driven and which is not a cheap car either. $30,000 I paid for it. What a waste of money and now I have to deal with this lemon. It's time for the 22,500 service. Oil, rotate tires and alignment. Also, they are doing a flash software update to fix the transmission glitch while driving at slow speeds (this makes me really happy)! The service department here is one of the best I've ever used! Yesterday, I had the opportunity to work with Boris at Crown Buick GMC to get me into a new GMC Sierra. This was my first experience purchasing a vehicle from Crown GMC and I cannot say enough good things about the dealership and the people that work there. This was the best car dealership experience I've had since I left the DC area in 2013. My Hummer H3 had a recalled part that needed to replaced and also I had a "low tire" sensor showing on my dashboard. The customer service from start to finish was stellar; very deserving of the 5 stars. From inception, the dealership proactively called me to let me know that there was a recall and that they could order my part. Within two days, the dealership called me to let me know that the part was in and wanted to see when I wanted to come in to get it serviced. I was services today. My H3 was filthy (embarrassed) but it was returned to me cleaned and vacuumed. They checked the sensor and replaced the recalled part. Chris Sullo (and team) was personable, knowledgable, and friendly. The service department's waiting area was nice; they offer free WiFi, comfy seating, workstations with a bank of outlets, TV, free popcorn, freed fresh backed cookies, vending machines, free coffee and water. I think I found a dealership that I will trust to take care of my H3 (and possibly other vehicles). read more

Yesterday was my 2nd time getting oil change in Crown Buick dealership. In January come in with coupon- oil change for $19.95. As expected,this was not for me-my car uses more expensive oil, bla,bla,bla. We all know it. After paying 3 times that amount i was not happy at all. So received certificate for cheap oil change again, with my name on it, signatures,etc. Come in, found out that for all services which they do with oil change it still cost more. Will was the service advisor, he "worked with me", added discounts and price come down to appropriate amount. Like it- after all it worth that money. What i don't like- spending 90 minutes waiting. Coffee,cookies,tv was good for an hour, after that it's not. At one moment Will come to me with 2 very dirty air filters,said it from my car and need to be changed. I didn't like the price, so it was not changed. Filters changed in another place, i requested to see my dirty filters, they was not as bad as those which Will showed to me. Go figure.. I took my escalade there to get a simple air bag recall and when I got it back there was a air bag light on that was not on when I took it there I talk to the manager agreed to pay diagnostic to see what's wrong with it because of course it couldn't be a faulty part or human error it sat there for a week and a half and they still never looked at it kept trying to tell me I need to spend 450.00 to fix a bad negative wire (that was not bad just dirty ). first before they would work on it. Unethical and sleazy are words very familiar to this dealership, its salespeople, and especially its management. I spent a week in negotiations (via email) over the net price of a vehicle, and the net value of my trade. The salesperson was the "internet" sales guy, Bob Cowart. The dealership is over an hour's drive from my home. When I arrived at the dealership with my wife and child, I found Bob, and he kept asking me to "sit down" in his office. I told him I had been sitting over an hour and to get the keys so I could check out the truck. Keep in mind that the time is 3:43 in the afternoon. Here is the text of his last email to me: 10/18/2013 Hello XXXXXX; It was good to finally speak with you. We are ok with the $ 5000.00 for your car as long as it is in decent shape. I will make sure the Yukon is ready to drive tomorrow with gas in the tank. Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow after 3 PM. If there is a change in your plans, just give me a heads up. Thanks Best regards, BOB COWART Sales and Leasing Crown Buick-GMC Note that he was well aware of the time I would be arriving ("after 3") and also note that he asked ME to give HIM a head's up if there was a "change in plans." So I'm sitting in his office and he says "See, the thing is, we already sold the truck, but the buyer's credit hasn't been approved yet, so there are two things we can do." Two things? No, there is only one thing, that is, I get up and leave. I talked to the sales manager before I left and he said "We are here to sell cars." I said, "Yes, I understand that, what I am upset about is that Bob here KNEW that I would be driving over an hour to get here, and he KNEW that he had sold my truck, but he apparently could not be bothered to show me the same respect that he had asked of me, by simply calling me and telling me not to waste my time driving out to the dealership." Now, we all understand (and expect) car dealerships to be sleazy, unethical, and underhanded, and it's not really surprising to discover that Crown Buick GMC is no different than the rest. I even called the General Manager, Craig Blacklidge, after I got home over an hour later, and explained the situation to him. He said, "Oh, that just isn't done, that's called a 'back-up' offer, and that should have been something offered to the other party in case your deal didn't go through, not the other way around." He PROMISED to look into it, and to call me back. Did he do so? Keep in mind, this is a car dealership we are talking about . . . so you will not be surprised to hear that he did not. If you are looking for fair treatment and respect at a car dealership . . . keep looking. But if you want to be treated badly, lied to, abused, to have your entire day off wasted, and not even be apologized to . . . ask for Bob Cowart at Crown Buick GMC of St. Pete.
