I posted a review earlier today regarding the comfort level of the new sofas delivered on Sept 10, 2021. They were NOT comfortable at all. We have had them about 24 hours. They are beautiful but not comfy. Mary Walker personally called me this morning and I explained to her the situation. I told her the sofas we received did not feel comfortable like the ones on the showroom floor. Her responsiveness is AWESOME!! She said we will get this resolved one way or another to make us happy with our purchase even if it means selecting another product and returning these. Customer service like this will make us lifelong customers. They have a great staff, a beautiful showroom and they are willing to bend over backwards to make their customers happy. If I could give this store six stars, I would. We are not wealthy people, and when we make a large purchase, we research thoroughly until we feel satisfied. So when our old (very old) recliners started to die, we knew it was time to start the process. And we did - OMG - visited every furniture store in town (we thought). Sat on 50 or more chairs each. Researched on line. And realized we were not finding the quality we needed for two chairs that will, God willing, last us the rest of our lives. Then I remember someone mentioning Walker's store "down south." And off we went. Sat on chairs. Sat on more chairs. Talked with a sales rep, who, even in the midst of their busy Presidents' Day sale, made time to answer my myriad questions, and yet gave us enough privacy and time to make a decision. We chose chairs that, mirable dictu, worked for each of us, and placed our order. Because of the sale volume, delivery, we were told, would be ten weeks. Gulp. But, okay. Ten week deadline approached, so I called their office, and Mary Kate quickly found out that yes, our chairs were completed and on their way. One problem: we were heading to the coast for a week. NO problem - delivery was arranged for after we returned. Chairs arrived exactly as scheduled, but sure enough, there was something strange about one of them. The next day, a representative came out, made a simple fix, and all is well. I can't say enough good things about Walker Furniture on SW 47th Ave. If and when we need any more furniture, this will definitely be our first stop. read more

One of the worst customer service experiences I've had. Jeff was extremely rude and unhelpful in the ordering process for a custom couch.

Walker Furniture and Mary Kate Walker, and staff has been so helpful with furniture purchasing for our home. The lines that they represent and fabrics made our seletions very easy in their huge store on SW 34th St. When delivery came the 2 gentlemen were so helpful in setting things up. Walker Furniture diagnosed a problem with my elderly Mother's chair (without her having to bring it back), gave her the new electrical box she needed and asked her to bring back the old one "when she got back to Gainesville" (she lives 50 miles away). They were right on with the diagnosis. She is a happy customer and will definitely keep shopping at Walker Furniture! I, as her daughter, really appreciate this because she gets very frustrated these days because it is difficult for her to get around and the staff really made this exchange easy for her. read more

Jeff was also extremely rude to me. We had a sleep sofa delivered which didn't fit into the room that we wanted, so it had to be returned to the store. While trying to get it into the room, the delivery men damaged the doorways, baseboard and door stopper. When I spoke with Jeff, he said they would not repair the damage and we still had to pay the $70 delivery charge. He told me that his delivery men were "professionals" and that it wasn't their fault that the sofa didn't fit. While I agree that it wasn't their fault that it didn't fit, it was their fault that "professional" delivery men didn't know how to properly protect the doorways, etc. from damage as they tried to cram the furniture through the door. When I asked to speak to the owner, Jeff informed me that it wouldn't do any good because the owner would just turn around and give it back to him and he wasn't going to do anything more with it. All I asked is that they waive the delivery charge given the damage that was done. This is NOT a customer friendly business!! read more
