Made a rookie mistake and relied on the paint sample strips to pick my color. Should have bought the sampler pack from Dunn Edwards Paint (which they prefer to use) and tried the colors on the walls before talking to them. Paint color on stucco really does not match the paper strips. And for that matter, paint on wood also does not match. So be sure to try them out before selecting your colors. Going back to Walker Painting, they did a great job (my neighbors also agreed). Nick was very responsive and gave me an estimate quickly. And once contracted, Miguel and Cesar did a wonderful job. Very meticulous in the way they taped off everything. They cleaned up after and even brought in my trash cans. Highly recommend their services. I was hoping to use my credit card to pay, but like all of the businesses lately, they charge a 3% fee. So they will ask that it be paid via bank transfer or check. Our home was built in 1996 and was looking faded and worn. We contacted several painting contractors and received several estimates. Nick met us and we did a walk around. We discussed several paint options and colors. Nick was professional and courteous and answered all our questions. After reviewing all our other estimates we decided to go with Nick Walker Painting. Nick kept in touch with us as our painting date neared. He helped us pick colors and gave suggestions and also contacted Dunn Edward to make us some samples to test out to finalize our color selection. When painting day arrived Nick and his crew showed up on time and were friendly. Caesar and Miguel were very nice, professional and worked very hard power washing, masking off areas and prepping our 26 yrs old home. The next day the painting began. Both Caesar and Miguel worked hard climbing to the top of the highest peaks of our home and did a fantastic job painting the stucco and trim. The following morning more trim was painted as well as our front door and shudders. A 12 ft long section of fascia board was rotten and needed replacement. Nick showed up with a new fascia board and had another carpenter replace the heavy wood and it looks just like the original. When all was complete, Caesar walked around the house with me and I pointed out a few very minor spots for touch up. Caesar and Miguel got right on it and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. Our experience with Nick Walker Painting was excellent. The house looks amazing, their work was top notch and they were honest, hardworking guys who obviously take pride in their work. I would not recommend this company. I requested a quote for residential exterior painting, he came out to look at the job. I was told I would receive a quote that evening or the next day. I never received the quote so I texted him to follow up and he apologized and said I would receive it that evening. It's 2 days later and no quote received. This is not the type of company I want to work with! read more

We had few days of wind here and they didn't attempt to paint anything while it was blowing. I cannot say enough good things about Walker Painting. I received three quotes and Nick came right in the middle with reasonable pricing. We painted the entire interior of our home that we just purchased and we had some challenging dark faux colors to cover up on walls and ceilings. When Nick walked through our home he made some recommendations and assured that he would get proper coverage. He also recommended we caulk and paint the baseboards (they were in rough shape in some areas), which I took him up verses doing myself. When the job started there was some miscommunication about the shading of white on the baseboards. Long story short, it was the wrong shade and now the baseboards didn't match the doors and jambs, throughout the house. No problem. Nick and his crew took responsibly and ended up painting the doors and baseboards to match and didn't fall behind schedule! I have had a lot of contractors in my home over the last 30 years and I cannot say enough about his crew: Cory, Caesar and Hector. These guys are GOOD! They pay attention to details, they have a great professional demeanor, they were personable and very patient in answering all the questions we threw at them during the week. I did a final walk-through trying to find flaws and could not! They are that good! They finished on time and on budget. I have been in the housing rental business for many years and know how hard it is to find a reliable contractor. We have our own crew and do not use outside subs. However I am regularly asked for referrals to do repair work etc....to which I am often reluctant to give. As you know, when you give a referral and they do a bad job, it reflects on you. Our experience with Walker Painting in Temecula was horrible. I would never recommend them to anyone. They missed several spots even AFTER we put the little pieces of blue tape around to identify the areas missed. They seem to want to cut corners; for example, I caught them trying to get a brush between my medicine cabinets and the large mirrors in our bathroom (I had to tell them "why wouldn't you just remove the two screws and take the cabinet off?). They finally did, but got paint on the mirrors before doing it the right way. Also, they didn't do a good job of covering furniture and other items in the house, so they ended up getting paint on my guitar amplifier, spots of paint on some of our furniture and nice hardwood floors due to the paint roller flinging paint all over. Not only did they get paint on our vanity lights in the bathroom, they also managed to get paint on the chandelier over our staircase. They also LOST numerous screws that hold on the light switch and plug face plates because they didn't do a good job of keeping them together in a single box or cup. In fact, they left the face plate off the power plug behind my bed, which I believe is a fire hazard! That really ticks me off because (to me) it shows they deliberately tried to hide the fact they lost a faceplate and tried to bury it behind the bed rather than fess up and offer to buy a new one (they probably cost no more than $3 at Home Depot). I could go on and on, but I won't. I think they are just a lazy crew and therefore you get mediocre results. read more

With his experience he can point things out that you may not have thought of, helps with color recommendations, etc. but it doesn't feel like he's telling you what to do...it's just genuine assistance. After getting bids and interviewing 6 different companies to paint our first house, my husband and I decided on Walker Painting. They were right in the middle of the bids but were running a coupon in a local mailer for $250 off any complete paint job which made their bid only $25 more than the lowest. We were very comfortable with Nick and he was very honest with the work that would be done. They were able to book us in right when we needed them too to fit our schedule. Dave and Cory were our painters and their worked so tirelessly and the 100 degree heat to make our home look so beautiful!!
