I bought a used Mitsubishi from them several weeks passed and no memoradium title. So I called they made a mistake and the title agency returned it to them They marked a used car new on the title and apparently the tax rate is higher on a used car than on a new car. So I go to the dealer and unless I pay the $181.00 tax difference they won't give me a copy of the title The money is not the issue it's the fact they made a mistake and expected me to pay for there error. Imagine the last item you bought and getting a call from where you bought it and they say they made a mistake and unless you pay them for there mistake you have to return the item. So good for them I will never buy another car from them nor will I ever have a nice thing to say about then. And I will never use them for servicing. read more

The WORST customer service experience ever! Staff is relatively friendly and accommodating...until they get your money. You are chopped liver after that. My husband and I were called liars, our problem was called "imaginary" and the best part? We were told "as far as we are concerned we are done with the car." It was so bad we filed a complaint with Toyota corporate. Stay as far away as possible from this dealership. They give a whole new meaning to the horrible reputation car salesman have. A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I wanted to add something that shows a little bit about their integrity and business practices. If you look at the filter button at the bottom of this page you will see a large number of reviews have been filtered (at this time it is 11). Please note the dates (if you take the time to read the reviews.) All of the dates are within one week of each other. Coincidentally that coincides with the date my initial review was writting. You will also note multiple reviews by the same people. Amazingly they are all 5 stars. Also note that one was removed for violating Yelp rules (he was an employee). Took my Harley here for its 5k service. They were very friendly and easy to work with. I called another dealer and felt like I was bothering them. I called Walker Powersports and they were very friendly. They called me back when they said they would, sent a trailer to pickup my bike for free, and was easy to deal with when I came to pick it up. This is the WORST Dealership i have EVER dealt with. I am warning all to stay FAR away from this very SHADY business. My husband and I found a 2018 Toyota RAV4 for a certain price on their site. We sent an inquiry about this vehicle and got a response from Tim Pearson. He sent an email stating the vehicle was there and we could come look at it. I called him on the phone and made an appointment for a test drive the following day. He said nothing about the price being raised when I spoke with him. Soon after our phone call I went back to their site to find the address for the dealership. I went to look at the car again that we were interested in. To my complete surprise and shock, they had RAISED the price by almost $2,000!! WOW! Are you serious?? I called Tim back and asked him about it. He said they don't raise prices. I told him I had taken a screen shot of the exact car the night before. He stumbled over his words and said he'd have to call me back (which he didn't). So I called and talked with the Used Car Manager, Eddie Harold. He was very rude to me when I asked about what happened with the price and why it had been raised after we showed interest. He raised his voice and told me the car was "not high enough" and needed to be raised. The car was already at the top of what that model is going for in the market. With his greed, he priced them out of a sale. Please stay FAR AWAY from these GREEDY, and VERY rude and SHADY people!!!! We have already found a much better dealership who is working with us. Walker Toyota and I have both tried to work directly with the manufacturing company, Toyota, to resolve year long issue with the Remote Start service and subscription. So, this review is about the manufacturer, not the dealer. I purchased my new 2020 Toyota Camry XLE Hybrid a little over a year ago and the remote start has only worked a few times. Each time we call Toyota, I get the same response, "we have to escalate this case" then i get an email from "Toyota Brand Engagement Center" also saying the case was escalated. This Remote Start service subscription by Toyota is worthless and I am writing this review so other customers don't fall for this service. I ended up having to purchase an aftermarket remote starter that I could depend on. read more

As an avid Yelper, I'm not one to leave reviews but rather tips (as you can see on my profile). My experience at Walker Toyota has been EXCEPTIONALLY HORRIBLE that I felt that they should break my longstanding rule of not writing reviews and use my first Yelp review in order to help prevent anyone from going through the same experience we did. Congrats Walker! We purchased a 2013 4runner from them since our beloved 2002 4runner was totaled in an accident. We were looking to purchase a 2013 4Runner from another dealership but decided to give them a chance. Upon initial experience, they were nice and accommodating. That is until the negotiation begins. I do my research on everything as my wife can attest to, and went in with a fairly hard line stance. There was nothing to lose as we had the same type of vehicle waiting for us at another dealer. Could have we gone to that original dealership? Yes, but we wanted something a bit more local so that we could establish a relationship and have our vehicle service there. The negotiation took 2 visits over about 4 days. Considering it was the dead of winter, it looked pretty slow in terms of car sales, so a major purchase of a higher end vehicle on their lot would do a lot for them. This is where it all turns downhill. Upon delivery of our vehicle I notice a small ding which was fully acknowledged by the manager on duty at the time. He said they could take care of it upon return of the vehicle for installation of the 3M bra and remote starter. Fast forward to the installation, upon return the bra was missing a piece (which warranted another visit), the remote starter was the cheapest available (they will steer you away from the OEM Toyota piece saying that its not as good when in reality it's a way to cut costs and talk about how the aftermarket ones have smart phone integration where you can start it with the phone), the dent was not seen despite being marked and the car was returned halfway washed which speaks volumes about the quality assurance aspect of their business. I brought the vehicle back to have the bra fixed and this time marked the ding with a black wax pencil on our gleaming white vehicle (which I personally washed). I talked with the General Manager - Kevin about our experience and he at first was receptive. I explained about all the problems we've had and he acknowledged that it shouldn't be like that. To somewhat rectify the situation he have us a small monetary compensation to try and fix the remote starter. Mind you the amount given was less than the OEM one and now have to find a new dealership to uninstall/upgrade the garbage that was installed in the first place. So in the end it still ends up costing us money to go to an OEM or upgrade to the ones that have smart phone integration, if they would have put the OEM one in the first place. Guess what happened when I get the car back? Can you? The bra is fixed, the vehicle is fully washed, but the ding which is now a bit harder to see. I admit I talked to the manager on duty, Bret, and he said that they had the "best body guys in Ohio look at it and they can't see it. So as far as Walker Toyota is concerned we are done with it!" Really? Are we done with it? To save additional minutes of your time, I will condense the additional events. This was brought back to the general manager Kevin and to Toyota corporate. The ding was deemed "imaginary" despite visual and verbal acknowledgement from their manager on duty at time of delivery. Walker Toyota refused to offer an apology which they clearly owed. They also acknowledged that they refuse to further deal to rectify the situation. If that's how Walker Toyota treats its customers who are the life blood of any business, then it's best that we not return and would advise anyone considering them not to visit them in the first place. If you just want to buy a vehicle and call it a day, then this is a place for you. But if you're someone who likes to create a nice relationship with the business and offer repeat business and referrals, then I would advise that you "not walk but run as fast and far as you can from Walker Toyota." read more

Drove by on a Saturday night after hours and found a used car almost exactly like the one I have been looking for (BMW 5 series) on their lot. Price was a little high for the mileage but I overlooked with hope to discuss price with them later. I drove 45 minutes back the their dealership Sunday when they were open. Same car, same place. 15 minutes of looking at this car and not one salesman came and talked to me. I start to gaze towards the building and 3 men are standing there staring at me from a distance. At this point I am frustrated and decided it wasn't worth it, if this is the service I'm getting prior to the sale what kind of treatment will I get afterwards? As I am driving by the building to leave a salesman FINALLY comes outside and asks if he can help me... really?!?! I had cash in my hand! They will never earn my business if they won't get off their butt to earn a sale. read more

To keep it short and sweet: I had called for, and made an appointment to see - a RAV4 LE. When I got there, they showed an upgraded model, the XLE. This was not in my budget, but it was a beautiful car. I knew that I would be challenge to get financed - but not impossible. I spent more than two hours there - and they could not come up with financing. If you have only fair credit - do not go to this dealership - I monitor my credit report - and even though they never found suitable financing for me - THEY ISSUED 19 HARD INQUIRIES against my credit report! BY THE WAY, I was at Walker Toyota on Saturday, February 13. I called another dealership in the area on Monday (explaining my credit issues) - and drove away on Wednesday, February 17 - in a new 2016 RAV4, with what I consider to be reasonable financing, and at a fair APR. TERRIBLE. Went looking for a minivan. Even called ahead. Salesman left me (7 and 1/2 months preggers) and my husband standing in the baking sun for at least 20 minutes while he went to get keys for us to test drive. My husband finally went inside to look for him and found the guy eating his lunch! Why we stayed to test drive after that I don't know. He couldn't answer any of our questions about the car. And the two we tried to test drive next had dead batteries, despite this man telling us these vans never sit because they sell so fast. I recommend you skip this bunch of schmucks and go see George at White-Allen in Dayton, or Jerry at Arbogast in Troy. The latter is where we ended up buying a great van, which I intend to take to Walker one of these days to re-enact the scene from Pretty Woman where she takes all her shopping bags to show the snotty sales lady who treated her so poorly. read more

Just finished getting my 2010 RAV serviced and can't quite follow the anguish displayed in some of the previous posts. The Walker gang did exactly what was needed, did some delayed recall maintenance, and recommended a few things that I knew needed to be done but had deferred due to cost. I could grump about the overall cost, $270 something, but I know it could have been a lot worse. Honestly, my only true issue with the Walker Toyota Service Department is that they always seem to be busy when I call and I can't get an appointment exactly when I want it. Does that qualify as an issue? Actually, yes it does from a customer relations improvement perspective but it's not one that is going to drive me away. Every time I've left a message for a Service Rep, my call is returned within a few hours. I'm cool with it. I own two Walker Toyotas and have purchased a third car off the used lot so maybe I'm a little biased or just a little more understanding of a busy place. I will probably purchase my next car from them in a couple of years. Or at the very least, this will be my first stop. read more

Top-notch sales staff. Years ago, I bought a car here and was very pleased. Earlier this year, when shopping for a new car, I gave them a call. I already had a very good offer from a dealer in MI, but wanted to give Walker another chance, despite the long drive for me. The salesman on the phone was one of the most professional and courteous of the many, many I talked to at various dealers. He admitted that they probably couldn't quite get as low as the offer I had been given elsewhere. But the hard number he gave me was the only one I got that was close to my best offer. He didn't try to trash the competition or second-guess them, and made a very realistic and appropriate pitch for my business. Sooner or later they will probably get my business again, perhaps for service work. :) read more
