Their ice cream is to die for...so creamy. The flavors are always changing and very creative. My sister had the "Watergate salad" ice cream. I asked for a bite and it was all I could do not to steal her cup away from her. Being a "Cookie Monster" I ordered the cookies'n cream (my all time go-to fav). It was so deliciously good - I can't stop thinking about it...lol. I have been there for lunch and their soups and sandwiches are yummy. Id been meaning to go and didn't know what to expect. It was phenomenal!!!! $5 for a plain grilled cheese- my kids split one and LOVED IT. I got a grilled cheese with pesto a a cup of soup. It was the best I've ever had! Then we ended on ice cream that was superb. Took 5 people out for a gourmet lunch with ice cream for under 50 bucks. And all four kids were happy! Can't beat that!!! We were in town for a Harvest Hosts stay at Frazier Farmstead museum and I was searching for area wine and cheese. Walla Walla Cheese Co. is a little hidden gem in the Freewater downtown area. I was immediately greeted by one of the owners and she gave me a lot of information on the cheeses they make in house, along with yummy samples. They also make their own ice cream and have cartons and cones for sale. They have pictures of the happy cows that live just 3 miles away and make the milk for all of the delicacies! I was prepared to come spend some money here. We are not from the area and we get excited when we find a cheese shop. Unfortunately we had an awful experience. Immediately upon coming in the door, I was told I needed to leave my dog out. I informed them my dog is a diabetic alert service dog. They said sorry, he still isn't allowed. I informed them they were violating the ADA and they told me they still needed me to leave. They made snide comments about my dog not being a service animal. They told me all they had to do was offer to bring my stuff to me and didn't need to permit access because they have food there. This is incorrect because service animals are legally permitted wherever the handler (myself) is. They cannot treat me different or isolate me from public areas. I will be filing an ADA complaint. read more

Found this Little cheese shop while visiting Milton Freewater. The shop itself is still a work in progress. They are expanding next door to add more processing space. They make a variety of cheeses using local ingredients. All of the ones I sampled where delicious. The staff was friendly and informative. You can buy a grilled sandwich of the day that comes with chips and a bottle of water. I will be going back to get my sweet onion and mustard cheese curd fix and to pickup more Halloumi a grilling cheese from the Mediterranean islands. read more

My wife and I and some friends decided to stop by here on a whim. The staff were super friendly and had us try a number of samples that were delicious. We noticed that they also had grilled cheese sandwiches available that came with tomato soup. My wife and I decided to try it, as it was only $5.00. The cheese is wonderful but the friendly service was what got them 5 stars. I did not get the name of the charming man who helped me pick my cheeses but he was most helpful.
