I enjoyed the happy colors. The young couple, the only people in the place, seemed to really enjoy each other. But I digress. They seem to have a very limited number of yogurt options and with just 30 toppings, a limited way to enjoy them. Since everything is 49cents an once it's not surprising that the toppings are all heavy. The chunks of iron did seemed to be over kill. (I'll pause, wait for laugh) The young lady cleaning up also rang me up and was rather friendly. All in all, the place was fine, if you need a yogurt fix and want to pay more than you could while also avoiding typical chain places I'd go here. read more

This should be four stars however the staff did not seem to know how to handle a Family that was camped out there with four screaming kids. I don't mean normal playing kids. I mean screaming running everywhere kids. Too cold to eat outside so we sat in our car. I hate yogurt--but Love this place!! Blue Palm just opened their doors, and when we were there it was busy! And for good reason. It's a self-serve frozen yogurt shop, which means you walk in (and a nice employee explains the system if you don't know it), grab a cup and serve yourself from the many flavors available. We grabbed a smaller cup and decided to try four different flavors side by side. Then you head over to the toppings and add whatever you want on top. Take your finished creation to the counter and put it on the scale. The price is a set amount per ounce, so you don't have to worry about extra costs. Our generous 4-serving cup with two different toppings was under $5, which was very reasonable. Also, they have those tiny cups for samples, but be careful - it's hard to just grab a little from the self-servers when you're not used to using them! The yogurt is all YoCream, and it's very good. There were 10 flavors in 5 side-by-side machines, and each machine pairs like flavors that you can swirl if you like (for example, chocolate and vanilla were paired and could be swirled together). They do a good job of mixing up the flavors so there's something for every taste palate, and their website says they will rotate flavors every week from a selection of 75 flavors. I'm a chocolate and rich flavors person, but my hubby prefers fruity or tart flavors. There was a good mix of both. You can eat there, or take your yogurt to go. The customer service was excellent. Everyone was really nice and friendly, even when my young daughter dripped her sample all over the floor. The only thing I would add is the ability to purchase a waffle or regular cone instead of a cup. I'm not sure how they'd manage that with the self-serve, but it would be nice to have that option. Overall, though, it's a great place for dessert and we'll definitely be back! read more

This is a pretty nice spot, and the best (only?) froyo in Walla Walla. They are open late (11pm on Saturdays!) and it is generally pleasantly full of happy locals on a summer evening. Walla Walla locals are happy people, and Blue Palm is a happy place. When given the choice between the DQ across the street and Blue Palm, there is no competition. Blue Palm has a nice selection of self-serve flavors, and they're always switching flavors (check out there facebook page, they are ALL over that: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Blue-Palm-Frozen-Yogurt/231043466910542) Price is good, toppings are good. The froyo is smooth. I'd be curious to know how they got the name Blue Palm, there is a legitimate fake blue palm tree chilling outside their shop. It's a good addition to Walla Walla! I've become a big fan of this wonderful, local fro yo shop. The vibe inside the shop is fun and friendly. When the weather is nice there's seating outside or you can opt for a seat on one of the two couches if you need to sit inside. There are plenty of fro yo flavors to choose from and they change often. The area where the toppings are kept is always neat and clean even when the place is busy with other fro yo fans. I especially like the staff who are friendly and helpful. And if the Kombucha tea is something you crave you can find it here near the front counter at a special bar. All in all, if you like fro yo and want to enjoy it in a fun, friendly atmosphere this is the place for you! read more

Just what Walla Walla needed! Finally, a place that stays open late and serves great, (mostly) healthy desserts. I made my first visit to Blue Palm this afternoon and enjoyed the array of color and pizzaz that burst from this place. The staff are very inviting and friendly, and the yogurt options were very tasty. I enjoyed sampling a few different flavors before settling on my favorites. The topping options are very varied, as well, so I had no trouble adding in a whole mix of toppings to make my dessert even more scrumptious. I look forward to re-visiting this place often and enjoying it's ever changing flavors of delicious frozen yogurt. read more

I'm a big fan of Blue Palm! We visit often and we love the variety of flavors, from the regular chocolate and vanilla to the more unusual like ginger lemonade. They provide little sampler cups, so you can taste a few (or all) before deciding. The topping variety is great, with candy/cookie options as well as more healthy fruit and nuts. We love that they support the community, with occasional live music and promotions like their Summer Reading Club - my kids loved getting free fro-yo for reading! Always yummy! We took our bridal party here last Summer and sat in their lighted area outside. We live on the other side of town near the other fro-yo place, Sour Grape. Well we just gave it one last try and walked out hungry. I even turned in 3 nearly used-up punch cards which tells you how many times I tried asking them for what I wanted. Here's my yelp review for them..."I go for tart yogurt with fruit and nuts. If you're tastes are different, then maybe this place is for you. After many times of making requests for either pecans or walnuts, more fruit selections, and tart yogurt...I GIVE UP!!! It's worth the few extra miles to go to Blue Palm!" No wonder Sour Grape only has 1.5 stars compared to Blue Palm's 4.5! They don't listen to their customers, and their name is misleading. It's not sour or fruity. Blue Palm wins! read more

blue palm is a very nice place to go with friends, an after lunch dessert or a summer afternoon snack. I really enjoy the fact that you can mix and match from the frozen yogurt taps and then there is so many choices of fresh fruit that you can put on it. They have kiwis, strawberrys (made me excited in the middle of winter to see), mangos, peaches and then for the candy toppings, it's almost endless. They have some sauces that you can put on it too.
